Chapter 1

Recap
StarScream growled and attacked me. He tackled me to the ground and raised his sword above my head, ready to kill me.

"Any last words, Autobot?" he asked.

I've survived many "last moments", but with everyone else busy and my injured shoulder, I started to think that this was really it.

BlueStreak's POV
"You'll never win, Slowscream," I said.
The Con commander smirked.
"You wish," he replied.

Before he could finish me off, someone shot him off of me. I managed to sit up.

"You were saying?" I asked before turning to see who saved my bumper.

"Looks like we got here just in time," Hound said, holding out his hand.

I smiled and gratefully took it. He helped me up.

"We were out on patrol when we heard all the commotion," Crosshairs said.

"It's good to see you two again. We could use your help kicking some Decepticon bumper," I mentioned.

"Alright! I've been itchin' for some action all day," Hound replied.

I rolled my optics and smiled.
"I'm going to help Optimus," I said.
"You sure, Blue? You're injured," Hound stated.
"It's just a scratch," I replied.

Okay, maybe it's more than just a scratch, I thought.

Hound smiled before running off to join Crosshairs. I made my way over to Optimus once again, despite the pain in my shoulder. I noticed that my head started hurting a little but ignored it. I saw Galvatron hit him in the jaw. Optimus staggered back, but then countered. When there was another opening, I took out my blaster and shot the D-con leader in the shoulder. He stumbled back, but didn't go down.

"Back away before you regret it," I threatened him.

"Ha! You don't scare me. In fact, Decepticons! Release the Prime Mover!" he ordered.

I went over to Optimus and stood next to him.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Fine," he replied.

"You will never win, Galvatron!" he called to the enemy.

"Oh but I already have," Galvatron said.

"Piece of tin," I heard Optimus growl under his breath.

I silently laughed but froze when I saw what was approaching. A ginormous spider-like robot was walking towards us. On the bottom between its red optics was a cannon. On top of its head were two more guns.

"Well scrap. That doesn't look good," I commented.

"Crosshairs! Drift! Take out the guns up top! Blue, you get the one below its optics. I'll draw its fire," he ordered.

"Aye!" Crosshairs replied.

I nodded and took out my other blaster. Before I could shoot it though, it shot first. I jumped and rolled to the left. I quickly got back up and shot at the center gun. I saw Crosshairs and Drift jump on top of it. They started dismantling the top guns as I shot at the center one. After a few minutes, I was able to disable my target.

Drift and Crosshairs successfully disarmed their targets, too. I put my blasters away and took out one of my swords. I ran up to the thing and started slicing its legs. Drift caught on and joined me. A few more minutes pass before Galvatron and the Decepticons retreated. I walked up to Drift and gave him a high five. Hound and Crosshairs came over to us, then we joined up with the others.

"Hey guys...long time, no see," Bee greeted our old friends.

"Woah why are you talking through the radio? What happened to your voice?" Crosshairs asked.

Hound whacked him on the back of the head.
"It was Lockdown's fault," I replied.

Hound glared at Crosshairs, who just nodded slightly.

"Thank you for your help old friends. Now let's go home, I'm sure Star will just love patching us all up," Optimus said, glancing at me with a smile.

I smiled back before calling Star.

"Star, we're heading back to base. We have three new bots...Star?" I tried over the com, but no answer.

"Guys, something's not right. Star isn't answering," I said.

"She probably forgot her com back at base again," Optimus replied.

I don't know. Something feels off.

I looked at my brother and saw that he was worried too.

*Time Skip a year brought to you by Remix! I needed that!*

It's been a year since Star has gone missing. We've been trying to find her ever since we got back to base after our little race only to find that she wasn't there. Bee has been searching high and low nonstop for her. He's barely slept at all. He's been out every day and night looking. When he does come back to base, it's only to check to see if we found anything. I hate seeing him like this and I worry about him all the time, but at least it's better than what he did when Star had died for a while.

Optimus called in Arcee, Chromia, Skids, Mudflap, and Hot Shot. He sent all of them into space except Hot Shot. There was something about Hot Shot that put me on edge. However, I dismissed the feeling.

I decided to go on patrol and Hot Shot tagged along, despite me telling him no. Ever since he first got here, something told me there was more to him than meets the eye. It drove me crazy not knowing why.

"Hey, what's down this way?" Hot Shot asked when we approached a fork in the road, turning to the left.

"Nothing. This way," I replied as I turned to the right.

"You sure?"
"Yes, I've been that way before. Now let's go."
"I want to check it out for myself."
"No, Hot Shot."

However, he was already driving down the road.

Ugh, he's a pain in the bumper. Well, he'll learn the hard way, I guess.

I kept driving, trying to ignore the nagging feeling of going back to get him.

"BlueStreak, help!"

I quickly turned around and raced back. When I got there, I saw Hot Shot sinking quickly into a sinkhole. Part of me wanted to walk away a little bit just to scare him so he would hopefully learn his lesson, but something was stopping me from doing so. I looked around frantically and noticed an old fallen tree. I took it and held it out it him.

"Grab on!" I told him.

Without hesitation, Hot Shot grabbed a hold of the tree. I pulled and managed to get him out. Some of the mud splashed onto me.

"Next time, I won't be there to rescue your tailpipe," I told him, even though somehow I knew I would.

Hot Shot only nodded. We drove back to base in silence.

What is it with him? He gets under my plating, yet I can't stand to think about losing him.

Sure, he was a fellow Autobot. If Ironhide or DarkMoon died, off course I would be sad. If anything ever happened to Bee or Optimus though, I would be devastated. Somehow I knew I would also be devastated I lost Hot Shot, but I didn't know why.

When we got back, I saw Optimus watching the kids. My sparkmate smiled at me. I smiled back as my son came up to me and gave me a big hug. I hugged back before he ran off to go play some more.

"Hot Shot," Optimus greeted before turning to me.

"How was your patrol?" he asked as he stood and walked up to me.

"Bit brain here decided to go exploring even though I said no," I replied.

"I should be allowed to explore on my own!" Hot Shot argued.

"If you knew what places to avoid and how to follow directions then maybe you would be," I countered.

"I got along just fine back on Cybertron. I can take care of myself!"

"Yeah, you definitely proved that today."
"Whatever."

Hot Shot stormed off, probably to his room. I sighed and rubbed my hand over my face. Optimus half smiled at me.

"Not too fond of each other I take it?" he asked.

"I...don't know. He irritates me so much, but I can't imagine losing him. There's something about him that I can't figure out," I explained.

"Well, can you spare a minute of trying to figure him out to spend a little time with me?" Optimus asked as he took my hands and pulled me close.

"Of course," I replied with a smile as I rested my head against his chest.

He wrapped me in a hug and I hugged back tightly.

"I love you and I am glad you are here with me," he said.

"I love you, too," I replied.
I relaxed and calmed down.

"It's already been a year, can you believe it?" he asked in a whisper as he rested his head on mine.

"Hardly. I just hope that we can find Star soon," I replied.

"Guys...I found her. We're on our way back now," my brother said over the com.

I let go of Optimus and smiled excitedly.

"That's great! See you soon, bro," I replied to him. I looked at my sparkmate, still smiling.

Optimus sighed with relief and smiled, too. He hugged me happily and I hugged back.

I can't wait to see you again, sister.

About a megacycle passes by and they still haven't came back.

"What is taking them so long?" Optimus asked as he started pacing.

I chuckled when I thought of what they could be doing.

"Bee's probably too excited to have her back," I guessed with a smile.

Less than a second after, they walked in. Optimus smiled and walked over to her.

"I am glad you are safe, Star," he said.

She hugged him before going back next to Bee and giving me a small smile. I smiled as I walked up to her and wrapped her in a tight hug.

"We were all worried sick about you," I told her.

"So I've been told," she replied as she hugged me back.

After a few moments, Cascade came running in. Star let go and picked up her daughter. Optimus then placed a hand on my back. Star coughed a little and I saw my brother's worried look. I was a little worried too. However, I decided it was best not to bring it up right now. I turned to Optimus and smiled as I wrapped my arms around him. I yawned and rested my head against his shoulder. He gently picked me up and took me to our room.

"Goodnight, beautiful," he said after kissing my forehead.

"Night, babe," I replied before closing my optics and falling asleep.
