TWENTY-THREE

18th March

A lot had happened over the past few days after the time the two new lovebirds, Taehyung and Jungkook, spent the night together. Namjoon and Jin were back from their honeymoon on the fifteenth, Yoongi and Jimin's relationship was flourishing in more places than just their bedroom, Hoseok just got a big opportunity downtown and a couple of new models were recruited by R&B.

There was a lot to look forward to the current week, but today Taehyung had nothing to do. He had no modelling lessons, photoshoots or cloth fittings to attend to, nor did he have any of his proof-reading work. Jimin did not seem like he needed help around the cafe either- and for the first time in a long while, Taehyung was actually  free.

He had wished that maybe Jungkook and he could go on that date they were thinking about but unfortunately, Jungkook had work to attend to. He had a really important company meeting to attend and as head of the photography and modelling section, he had to be present.

Yeontan, Taehyung's naughty tan Pomeranian, was still with him. He never agreed to stay back with Taehyung's aunt. So, Taehyung had the great pleasure of waking up to a personalized 'fur-in-the-face' alarm, set for exactly six each morning. And when he'd wake up, that fur would whine on his bed with a collar in his mouth asking Taehyung to take him out to do his business.

It wasn't pleasant for Taehyung.

Although he had no objection to having Yeontan with him, it wasn't exactly tasteful having to wake by your dog by force and immediately rush out and observe him do his business, especially when it was that cold in the morning.

Spring was pretty close but the morning chills were no joke for Taehyung.

That morning while he walked Yeontan outside, he called Jungkook.

"Good morning, Jungkook." a smile slowly formed on Taehyung's face as he greeted his boyfriend.

"Hey!" a cheerful Jungkook said back. "Good morning! Out to walk Yeontan again this early?"

Taehyung sighed with a short chuckle. "Yeah, it's like he's getting up earlier each day."

Jungkook laughed.

"So-" Taehyung started again. "-You all set for today's meeting?"

"Oh, that."Jungkook groaned out. "Not exactly looking forward to it."

"Why not?"

"Well, for several reasons. It's boring, it's basically a budget and schedule plan for the year that each department presents to every other department. Namjoon insists that we have everyone involved and aware, which is good.....but...."

"But?"

"It could go on forever! We never know how long it could be."

"That sucks." Yeontan suddenly started pulling on the leash, barking crazily.

"Yeontan giving you a hard time?" Jungkook chuckled.

Taehyung strained his leash slightly and Yeontan stopped pulling on it. "He just saw another dog and got overly excited."

Jungkook laughed once more. "Quite the excitement for that little pup!"

Taehyung smiled hearing him. "So, when's the meeting?"

"About...Around ten? But I need to head out early to Daejung's flower shop first."

"The flower shop? What for? Does the meeting require you to give away flowers too now?" Taehyung asked with a playful chuckle.

"No, no!" Jungkook smiled at his end. "It's actually for.... our office?"

Taehyung narrowed his eyes in disbelief. "You hesitated, Jungkookie."

Jungkook pursed his lips, suppressing a shy smile. "It's just something, Tae."

"You're not getting me a big bouquet, are you?" Taehyung teased him with a flirty voice.

"If you want me to, I most certainly will get you flowers."

"I was just pulling your leg! More than that I would have loved to spend the day with you, we could've gone to that amusement park you mentioned."

"Oh, right! We could've! Wait- You're free today? Tessa isn't having a session today?"

"No, she isn't." Taehyung walked as Yeontan pulled on the leash. "She cancelled last minute, didn't she tell you?"

Jungkook hesitated. "No, she didn't. But then again, she tells me nothing."

Yeontan started pulling on the leash again, barking. Taehyung struggled to hush him down, but the dog wouldn't listen.

"Alright then, looks like Yeontan is troubling you, how about we talk later?"

"Y-yea- YEONTAN! " he raised his voice, but the dog still wouldn't stop. "I'm so sorry-" he said to Jungkook. "All the best for your meeting. We'll set a date next time?"

"Yes, sure! You take care!"

"You too! YEONTAN! Argh- I'm sorry, Jungkookie, bye!"

Jungkook smiled. "Goodbye, Tae."

Ending the call, Jungkook smiled affectionately to himself just thinking of how much more adorable Taehyung could possibly get. But then a slight paleness spread on his face when he realised that the two of them could have had the day for themselves if it weren't for that stupid meeting.

He ripped a banana from its bunch, slightly frustrated. "I wonder when we'd get another free day like this." he mumbled, biting the fruit bit by bit.

The two were getting along swimmingly. Their talks had gotten more casual, Taehyung had unleashed a 'teasing' side of his and Jungkook expressed himself more than ever, everything was great.

Because it was a first for the two, they decided not to tell anyone unless it was absolutely necessary.

Jungkook certainly did not want to fall victim to Jimin's gossip spree and Jin's never-ending teasing. Although, that would make him embarrassingly happy, seeing his friends tease him- just..not yet.

Jungkook left the house at around eight and headed straight to the flower shop.

"Jungkook!" Daejung greeted him as he entered the store. "What brings you here so early?"

Jungkook smiled warmly. "Remember that one project I talked to you about? A long long time ago?"

Daejung nodded subtly, arranging the flowers in their vases. "You mentioned it last year in November, yes."

"Well, I'm here to place an order for the flowers."

Daejung looked up at Jungkook, his eyes were gleaming and he looked like an excited little bunny. "Did something good happen?" Daejung folded his arms together. "You look extra cheery."

The excited little bunny shifted his gaze and stared at the wall. "Hm? Cheery?"

"Yea..." Daejung narrowed his eyes at Jungkook. "Your tone sounds jollier than usual."

Jungkook tried so hard to suppress his smile but he eventually gave in and blushed out.

"Something happened..." he told Daejung shyly.

The florist looked him in the eye and raised a brow. "Your expression is pretty elated. Something grand must have happened?"

"Taehyung. I confessed." his fingers fidgeted. "He-"

"He said yes?" Daejung asked before Jungkook could finish.

Jungkook pressed his lips and nodded.

Daejung's eyes widened a bit. "Wow, now that is news. Something clicked during the festival I presume?" he asked teasingly.

"Well, I met Ethan there actually."

"Ethan? And you tell me that now?" Daejung's voice got a bit tense. "Did he talk to you?"

"Yea... guess he never got over his narrow mindedness. He's the same." Jungkook clicked his tongue. "He told me he was 'sorry' he ran away that time and that he should have helped me 'realise' that liking a guy....it's just a phase."

Daejung blinked, shocked. "He said that?"

Jungkook chuckled. "Yeah. I got so mad.... it was awful."

"Wait, so you met Ethan, fought him.... and Taehyung? How did the two of you-"

"That was pretty romantic actually!" he pursed his lips and proceeded to tell him about the kiss in the rain, the decisions the two made and how with each passing day things went a tad bit more insane in a good way.

"Wow, you're living a fairytale."

"It's not perfect, Daejung."

"Dancing in the rain to the kiss? That's fairytale enough for me."

The two chatted a bit more and then finally came down to business as Jungkook wrote down an order. He explained to Daejung the requirements of the project and he helped Jungkook pick out the best ones suited. Daejung said that he'd make sure to be present during the project to maximize his reach and help his vision for Jungkook's project come to life.

"Oh, and-" Jungkook spoke. "I need a small bouquet this evening."

"Of?"

"Uh-" he looked around the shop. "Roses?"

"Are they for him?"

Jungkook nodded.

"Don't worry." Daejung smiled assuringly. "I'll make you a pretty bouquet. Just call me before you stop by."

"Thank you so much!" Jungkook breathed out heavily. "By the way, where is Haewon?"

"Downstairs in the Tattoo shop." Daejung chuckled gently. "She'll be happy to hear about Taehyung."

Jungkook blushed internally. "She's done nothing but gossip about it with Jimin. Now she just got more tea to gossip about." he shrugged and made his way downstairs from outside the flower shop.

The shop had been renovated and a lot had changed since the last time he set foot in there.

The walls were matte black, the floors - dark wood and the place had new plants here and there. Their bright green popped the room with colour and made it feel so earthy and welcoming. It was such a pleasant and soothing change from the uneven rustic brick walls.

There wasn't anyone at the front desk but Jungkook could hear a lot of chitchat and laughter coming from further in the shop.

He walked towards the sounds and came by the room where Haewon was with the receptionist and a customer who had just her bra on, getting a huge tattoo on her back.

"Oh- my! I-I'm so sorry-" he panicked and turned away from the giggling group.

Haewon laughed out at him. "Jungkook! Gosh- I must have forgotten about the door!" she said something to her customer and then walked to Jungkook. "Hey, there!" she whispered to him as they walked back to the front of the shop.

"Please remember to close your doors." Jungkook sighed.

"She was wearing a bra!"

"That's not my point! I don't want to invade their privacy...It may get uncomfortable for them."

"Fine-" she replied with a little tone in her voice. "But...you're the one who came back there, you could've just called out for me." she pretended to pout.

Jungkook gasped sarcastically. "Don't pin it on me!"

Haewon laughed. "So, what brings you here? Tattoo? You didn't make an appointment." she leaned against the reception counter.

"No, not a tattoo, not yet-" he stopped and smiled softly. "I want to tell you something."

Haewon smiled at his expression, he looked like he was shy and a bit hesitant. "Well-" she replied softly. "I have something to tell you too. So, you better hurry and tell me before I change my mind!" she punched him playfully.

"It's about him."

Haewon's eyes sparkled. "Kim Taehyung-" she raised her brows. "Uh-huh? Tell me."

"So- we kissed-"

"Just like THAT??"

"No! I mean- yea.....kinda. We did clear things out..so....in a way, you could say things worked out?"

"Are you serious right now?" her voice sounded extremely ecstatic.

Jungkook nodded in reply.

"Wow- I am so happy for you!" she pushed him teasingly. "You better make this work now."

"I hope. There is just so much to tell you!"

"We should meet up and maybe then you can give me the tea, huh?"

Jungkook rubbed his nape, embarrassed. "Yeah... what were you going to tell me in return?"

Haewon's excitement from Jungkook's news turned to a timid smile. She opened her mouth to speak but then bit back her lower lip. "You're the only one to know-" she said softly. "-so I want you to keep this to yourself, okay?"

"Okay...sure.."

She placed her palms on her belly and caressed it gently. "I'm pregnant."

Jungkook's smiled shrunk to a bright expression of astonishment. He looked at Haewon's face, then her belly, going back and forth between the two for a couple of seconds.

"You're serious?" he asked in a high whispered tone.

"Very." she whispered back with a sweet giggle. "I only got to know last week though. The doctor said it's been nearly three months."

"Three months already?" his mouth gaped open. "Wow- I- just, I can't wrap my head about how you and Daejung are going to be parents now.... this is, this is wonderful news!!!"

"Don't tell Daejung yet."

"Why? This is great news! That big old softie will melt when he hears!"

"As I said- you are the only one who knows! I want to keep it a secret from Daejung, surprise him."

Jungkook smirked. "Alright- but do remember to tell me about his reaction."

"And you don't forget telling me about your new boyfriend~" she teased him. "Set us a date at a restaurant of your choosing, we'd like to be pampered." she grinned, rubbing her belly.

Jungkook couldn't help but smile when Haewon said 'we', referring to herself and the baby getting pampered by Jungkook's treat to a meal. "Alright- fine, I'll pay.."

"That's like a good future uncle! I can't wait for the baby to meet you."

"She'll be a lovely baby." he said slowly, smiling fondly.

"You can't be sure if it's a girl-" Haewon looked down at her belly. "Though I do hope for a girl."

Jungkook left the shop soon after and headed to the R&B main office at the heart of the city. It was much further from his house than the studio was and that meant he would see Taehyung pretty late that day.

Jungkook groaned thinking about that as he gathered his things from the car and then headed inside the tall building.

He first met Namjoon in the elevator, who was dressed modestly in a tailor-fitted deep grey suit. The CEO's hair was up and his face was glowing more than ever.

"Good morning." Namjoon nod his head at Jungkook.

"Good morning there, Mr CEO." Jungkook replied with a cute chuckle. "I heard you took an extra week for the honeymoon."

"Yeah- we did." there was a light strain in Namjoon's answer.

Jungkook eyed Namjoon with a teasing smirk."I bet you both made the most of it, hm?"

Namjoon glared back at the younger one. Jungkook's smirk faded and he awkwardly stared down at his feet.

The elevator stopped. "We did." Namjoon replied as he walked out.

Jungkook contained his giggle and followed Namjoon to the hall.

The place was packed with representatives from each department of the company, including actors under the label and even a couple of shareholders directly involved with the company.

Jungkook sat in his designated seat in the front rows while Namjoon greeted Jin. The couple exchanged a few words and affectionate expressions, then Namjoon gave Jin a small peck and made his way to the stage to start the presentation and get the meeting going.

Everyone started taking their seats when they saw the CEO and soon it was utter silence in the hall.

After a small opening speech from Namjoon, each department got up on the stage, unveiled their new ideologies for the company, their budget plans and a small overall report of their team.

Yoongi announced upcoming pieces from the artists under the company, their themes and outcomes. He talked about how he was managing it all and how, as main producer and artist, he would keep the involved parties informed about every update.

The new drama series that R&B was planning to unveil was also talked about and that auditions will be held soon next month. And as a learning opportunity for new actors on set, Jin would personally be overlooking all the developments regarding the drama.

On Jungkook's turn, he presented the ideas for billboard advertisements on their new clothing lines and a whole runway for their designer clothes. The designers backed him up on the whole look and theme.

They had a satisfying lunch break at around two and were back in the hall by three-thirty to wrap things up.

The meeting got over at five. Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi and Jungkook met for a while, discussing about the drama.

"Taehyung's up for the audition, right?" Jin hummed. "I saw a couple of previous audition clips Jimin sent over. That guy may be a bit rusty, but those clips were about five years old. He does have great potential....I'm eager to see his skills now."

"Yeah, about that-" Jungkook hesitated. "He hasn't given a certain reply on it..."

"What do you mean?" Yoongi asked subtly. "You did brief him over the details, right? Jimin said that he did. Taehyung could be a great asset to our acting team."

"He's just a bit- hesitant?" Jungkook sighed. "I haven't talked to him about it all that much! I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable."

"Well, I hope you'll talk to him." Namjoon replied. "I mean, you have gotten close."

Jungkook frowned in panic. "Um-what? Wh- what do you mean 'close' ?"

Jungkook overreacted, he was overthinking the situation. 'I haven't told them about us, what in the hell does he mean close!?'

Namjoon blinked blankly. "What? I just said that because you guys spend a lot of time together and Yoongi told me that he even invited you to the hill festival- which is a pretty big deal."

Jungkook looked at Yoongi who just softly shrugged his shoulders, playing the innocent bystander.

"Anyway- " Namjoon continued. "-We should get going- " he glanced at his watch. "-it's almost six...wow."

"Well, I have a dinner date tonight-" Yoongi piped up modestly. "So, I'll leave you guys first." saying that, he left the other three.

Jin puffed a chuckle. "Way to announce your lovey night plans~" he teased.

Before leaving, Jungkook made sure to call Daejung for the small bouquet he was going to give to Taehyung.

He drove to the flower shop happily, humming to every cheesy little love song that came up on the radio. He'd smile a little extra thinking how he'd surprise Taehyung at his home with a bunch of flowers, talk to him....kiss him a bit.

Jungkook flushed behind the wheel as he thought of that last expression. He was still like a wee little rabbit at romance and relationships, he almost felt a bit too childish about it. Nevertheless, he'd do almost anything to give it his all with Taehyung. It all happened quicker than Jungkook anticipated but he decided to be mature about it.

At Daejung's, Jungkook saw a pretty little bouquet laying on the front counter with the owner of the shop nowhere in sight.

"Daejung?" Jungkook stiffly walked in, looking around. "Daejung??"

He peeped at the flowers. They were a neat package of small purple flowers of two kinds and big white puffy roses softly hugging each other, all wrapped in a lovely pale lilac wrapping. The bright little green popping out from the bouquet gave off a very refreshing and blooming look....it was just so pretty- they looked like a little wedding bouquet.

Just when Jungkook was about to pick the flowers up Daejung walked in from behind the shop.

"Why, hello there, Jungkook." he said calmly. "Sorry, I went back to get some ribbon." he swayed the thick purple satin ribbon in front of him and then wrapped it around the bouquet.

"Here you go." he said, handing Jungkook the bouquet of lovely flowers.

"This is mine?" Jungkook sounded surprised. "I thought this was going to a wedding!"

"A wedding at this time?" Daejung raised a brow.

"Why not?"

"Hm- I just see weddings as a morning occasion. Anyway, these flowers-" he pointed at the flowers in Jungkook's hands. "-are for that lovely boyfriend of yours." he smirked.

Jungkook blushed looking down at the flowers.

"You're blushing, Jungkook!" Daejung exclaimed. "You're literally red! Calling him your 'boyfriend' really turns you a little tipsy, doesn't it?"

Jungkook turned away, holding the bouquet close to his face to cover himself.

Daejung chuckled. "Anyway- these are African violets-" he pulled the bouquet down from Jungkook's face. "-they represent loyalty and devotion. These are orchids-" he pointed at the more magenta coloured flower. "-they represent... fertility and sexuality-"

"You have a great choice for flowers, Daejung-" Jungkook interrupted him bluntly.

"I know- Thank you-"

The doors of the shop opened all of a sudden and in came Haewon jingling some keys in her hand.

Jungkook's eyes followed her smiling face and then his gaze averted to her belly which reminded him of the very important news she had given him that morning.

Jungkook quickly looked away and tried to restrain himself from spilling the good news to future Papa Daejung.

Daejung gave Haewon a sweet welcome kiss on her forehead and massaged her shoulders gently. "Hard day today?"

The woman cracked her neck and nodded. "Sitting and bending my neck down all day, yep- it was a hard day."

The couple were in their own world, Jungkook felt like he wasn't even there.

For some reason, Jungkook couldn't get the news out of his head seeing the happy couple in front of him. He wasn't a very good liar but he wasn't a very good keeper of secrets either, especially when the people regarding the secret were right in front of him.

Haewon smiled at Jungkook for a second and said nothing, but Jungkook understood what that threatening smile meant. 'Do not open that mouth of yours, okay?'

A chilled shudder went up Jungkook's spine. Haewon could be very scary if needed.

Jungkook quietly paid Daejung in cold sweat and started to head out of the shop.

All of a sudden, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned and saw Haewon behind him.

"I'm sorry." she said.

Jungkook tilted his head in confusion.

"I'm sorry if I looked mean before-" she said. "I know you won't tell him-It's just my usual mood swings are getting weirder the more tired I am...so... I'm sorry."

Jungkook sighed in relief, he thought she was about to give him a whole lecture. "It's alright-" he nodded to her. "Take care of yourself. Anyway, I have to rush now-"

"And go to spend an amazing night with your hubby~"

"H-Haewon!" Jungkook hushed her in embarrassment.

"Come on, Jungkook! Be an adult and stop being a blushing little teenager!"

Jungkook rolled his eyes. "You're the one teasing me every time."

Haewon pouted and widened her eyes like a puppy. "You mean I can't even tease you now?"

Jungkook let his shoulders sink and gave her a look of disappointment without saying a word.

Realizing how awkward the situation was getting for Haewon, she turned him around and pushed him to his car. "Now go to thy lover and giveth that gent those flowers!"

Sighing with a chuckle and a slight shake of the head, Jungkook got into his car and waved Haewon a goodbye and then headed to Taehyung's place with the bouquet right beside him.

Jungkook was so excited to surprise Taehyung, that he was sure Taehyung wouldn't be expecting him. He hoped that for Taehyung- it'd be a pleasant surprise after an entirely free and boring day.

Jungkook reached by his building at around a quarter past seven.

His heart beating excitedly fast, he made his way up. On Taehyung's floor, Jungkook passed by his neighbour's door from where he could hear classical music playing.

Smiling, he stood in front of Taehyung's door. He straightened his suit, hid the flowers behind his back and then rang the bell.

He bounced on the ball of his foot impatiently, eager for Taehyung to open the door, for Yeontan to pounce at him and then surprise Taehyung with those flowers and a bunch of kisses.

A few minutes passed by but Taehyung didn't come to the door.

Jungkook rang the doorbell again, waited- but then again, Taehyung didn't answer.

The man frowned and rolled his tongue on the inners of his cheeks. 'Where is he?' he thought. He knocked at the door, then rang the doorbell again. But Taehyung still didn't answer.

Worried, he tucked the bouquet in the hook of his arm and reached for his phone, he texted Taehyung. 'Hey! Are you at home? '

Jungkook waited for a bit. He leaned against Taehyung's door, gazing down at his phone's screen.

A minute passed, five minutes and then ten.....Taehyung still hadn't replied.

Sighing in disappointment, he finally decided to leave a call thinking that maybe Taehyung would see that at least and if he didn't- Jungkook would leave and try contacting him later.

Slightly saddened, he dialled Taehyung's number and let the call go. Jungkook paced around the corridor impatiently, losing hope each time the call extended by two seconds.

Then, just as the rings ended, the door next to Taehyung's place clicked open and Jungkook heard a combination of giggled laughter, one male, one female and a small sniffle of a dog.

Out of the door came a small puffy dog, an old lady and a tall man with fluffy hair.

The two people were smiling, giggling and bidding each other goodbye. The man, Taehyung, didn't even notice Jungkook, while Yeontan excitedly ran to him and started barking in joy.

Alerted by Yeontan's barking, Taehyung looked up. "Yeontan, shush-" his eyes fell on Jungkook and a large smile beamed on his face. "Jungkook!" he went up to him and looked at Jungkook head to toe as though he couldn't believe his own eyes. "How come you're-"

Jungkook smiled. "I wanted to surprise you-" he shrugged his shoulders and gave a small giggle.

Taehyung noticed the flowers in his hand. "Are those the flowers we talked about today morning???"

"Yeah, well I couldn't resist....so, I-"

Before Jungkook could finish speaking, Taehyung gently leaned forward and coiled his arms around Jungkook, pulling him into a hug.

Taehyung snuggled his face in the crook of Jungkook's shoulder. "I don't know why but....." he hugged Jungkook tighter. "I missed you a lot."

Jungkook hugged Taehyung back, caressing his hand on him. "I missed you a lot too."

Taehyung pulled back. "It's the first time I'm seeing you in a suit."

Jungkook looked down at himself then raised his eyes to Taehyung. "How do I look?" he asked softly.

Taehyung bit his lower lip and smirked. He turned to see if the coast was clear and once he confirmed that it was, he placed his palm on Jungkook's muscled torso and slowly grabbed his tie. He checked Jungkook out, over and over, licking his lips on purpose to tease Jungkook.

He then trailed his hand to the narrower end of Jungkook's tie and pulled him with a slight tug. "You intimidate me, Mr Jeon." he smirked at Jungkook and then kissed him on the lips.

When Taehyung pulled away, he giggled cutely at a surprised Jungkook whose mouth was still partially open. "The moment I saw your tie I had the urge to pull you into a kiss. I hope that wasn't too much?" Taehyung asked shyly.

Jungkook's nape was hot from his collar being pulled and the sensation seemed to tingle all the way to his cheeks and lips. He so wanted more.

"No, not at all." he replied to Taehyung, still in awe. "Just caught me off guard."

"I just didn't want to miss my chance." he shrugged his shoulders as he opened the door to his flat.

Jungkook chuckled as the two entered the flat with Yeontan by their heels. "Does the suit really intimidate you, though?"

"Depends on what way of intimidation you mean."

Jungkook frowned. "What type did you mean?"

Taehyung didn't answer, instead, he just smirked. "How was your day at work today?"

"Productive you could say."

"Tiring?" Taehyung got out a glass bottle to put in the flowers.

Jungkook sighed and hugged Taehyung from the back. "You have no idea~" he groaned. "I need to recharge with hugs." he rested his forehead on Taehyung's shoulder, who chuckled and tickled Jungkook's face with the flowers playfully.

"No kisses?" Taehyung chuckled, swaying the white rose by Jungkook's nose.

Jungkook pouted. "Stopppp!" but Taehyung just giggled as he teased him.

"When do you think you would be free next?" Taehyung asked, resting the rose by Jungkook's face.

Jungkook hummed, swaying Taehyung in his arms. "Not sure really."

Taehyung made a confused expression and turned back to Jungkook. "But tomorrow's a Sunday, aren't you free tomorrow?" he placed the rose over Jungkook's ear and gazed at his lovely face.

Jungkook stopped swaying Taehyung and looked at him blankly. "Tomorrow is a Sunday?"

Taehyung tilted his head and nodded. "Yeah- it is." his lips slowly turned to curl up. "Did you not notice?"

Jungkook's face broke into an embarrassed smile. "N-no....wow, this is embarrassing." he rubbed his nape and turned away.

Taehyung grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. "Oh come on, Jungkook, you don't need to be embarrassed about something like that!" he held Jungkook's hands in his and gave him a wide smile. "So, what do you say, shall we go out for a date tomorrow? If you're free?"

"Do you know where you wanna go?"

Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck. "Maybe the amusement park would be great, what do you think?"

Jungkook placed his hand on his boyfriend's waist. "As long as it's with you, anywhere is perfect."

"That's sweet-" Taehyung pursed his lips and squinted his eyes. "-but what if it's a dump-"

"Oookay!" Jungkook interrupted him. "I'm going to stop you there-"

Taehyung laughed. "Oh? And how are you going to do that, huh?"

Jungkook scrunched his face cheekily and then smiled. He let go of Taehyung's waist and started to tickle him. Weakened, Taehyung crouched inward and gave out restricted laughs. "S-stop! Ju-Jungkook!" he tried to say, but he was so sensitive he was almost sinking down to the floor, protecting his sides from Jungkook's tickles and laughing out in giggles.

Jungkook sunk to the floor with Taehyung until he couldn't bear it anymore. Taehyung flopped onto Jungkook and the two fell on the floor.

Taehyung, in between Jungkook's legs, his head resting on Jungkook's chest, quickly got back up. His face was red and his eyes were teary from laughing so hard. "I- I hate y-you." Taehyung said, still laughing slightly as he caught his breath.

Jungkook wiped the tears from Taehyung's face and then kissed him. "I like you too."

Taehyung couldn't help but laugh at him when he said it.

"What?" Jungkook gave him an offended yet concerned look.

"You're just adorable and with that rose-." he tucked Jungkook's hair behind his ear. "-It just makes you so much more adorable." he said back in a tiny voice and proceeded to clasp Jungkook's face in his hands to kiss him again.

Yeontan, like always, decided to intrude on their little cute moment and started pouncing at them, licking their faces.

After a few seconds of tossing around on the floor with the little dog, Jungkook mentioned the audition for the drama series to Taehyung. There was a bit of a heavy atmosphere once Jungkook mentioned it. Now, Jungkook wasn't sure why- but Taehyung had much more than mere hesitation on his face.

"Is everything okay?" Jungkook placed his palm comfortingly on Taehyung's thigh.

Taehyung intertwined his fingers with Jungkook's and caressed the back of his hand. Taehyung said nothing and that only made the air even gloomier.

"What's the matter, Tae? Is something bothering you?" Jungkook scooted a little closer to him and clenched his hand a bit tighter. "I've noticed that whenever I mention the drama to you, you- seem uncertain? Are you unsure about something?"

"Hm?" Taehyung looked up and gave a gleeful smile once he saw Jungkook's concerned face. "No! It's not that!" he giggled. "I'm just nervous, that's all."

That was part of the truth. In fact, Taehyung wasn't sure what exactly was bothering him. He was nervous for sure, but he was indecisive. He felt like he wanted to back out because of his fear of failing and the decision he made about never pursuing music or theatre after his grandmother's death. And that was all because he couldn't get himself to do it anymore after her passing. It was almost as though he lost the will to do it.

Playing the violin was one thing, acting wasn't always part of the ditching plan. The acting was something he did to cope with his grandmother's death, a way of suppressing his feelings. But over time, he lost his will to even use it as a coping mechanism, which was probably why he got the shortest minute roles in random sitcoms.

He didn't want to tell Jungkook about it, he wasn't sure he was ready to tell him yet.

And he certainly wasn't sure when he would be ready.
