FOURTEEN

5th March

"Taehyung-" Jimin shook his arm gently. "Tae!"

The man resting his face on the table, fluttered his eyes open drowsily.

"Tae, it's past midnight!"

He smacked the dryness out of his mouth. "What time is it?" he rubbed his eyes.

"Don't rub your eyes." Jimin smacked his hands off of his eyes. "It's around one."

Taehyung looked around at the cafe and yawned, blinking his eyes profusely.

"Come on." Jimin shut all the books open in front of him on the table and stuffed them into his bag. "I'll drop you."

"I still have to do my work!" Taehyung groaned and grabbed his laptop back from Jimin, widening his eyes so that he could shake the sleepiness out of himself. "And I need to hand it in by eleven!"

"And I need to close the shop."

"Wait-" he squinted his eyes. "-what time did you say it was?"

"One O'clock."

Taehyung looked up at Jimin from his seat, then at his watch and then outside.

"Oh......" he said bluntly. "So it's one at night."

"Ya." Jimin replied boringly. "Now, mind moving your ass so I can close the shop and drop you home?"

Taehyung frowned. "You don't drive."

"Yes, I know."

"Um....and we don't get cabs at this hour-"

"Yep, I know that too."

"Wait- you don't mean-"

"Yeah, I do."

"Oh, no." Taehyung shook his head, giving a nervous smile.

"Oh, yes." Jimin gave back a reassuring smile.

"I can just take a cab, it's alright."

"And wait in the freezing cold for who knows how long?" Jimin raised a eyebrow smugly. "It's just my scooty! What's the problem?"

"It's because it's your scooty."

Jimin rolled his eyes. "Do you want to come or not? Tell me now so that I can decide whether to lock you in or not."

Taehyung pouted. "You'd do that to your best friend?"

"It's because you're my best friend that I am offering you a ride home in the first place."

Taehyung looked away and pressed his lips together, jotting his foot up and down, thinking.

"Fine." he said finally. "I'll let you drop me home. But drive slow....I hate the cold wind hitting my face."

"Well, Kim Taehyung, I can't do anything about that." Jimin took Taehyung's laptop from him and packed his remaining things. "You can wrap yourself with a scarf or something."

"I don't have a scarf." he stood up.

Jimin took off the blue scarf from his own neck and wrapped it around Taehyung's neck and mouth softly. He gave a wide smile. "Shall we go now?" Jimin turned around to walk away.

Taehyung sighed. "Yeah....let's go." his voice muffled through the scarf.

Jimin accompanied Taehyung to his apartment, where he was greeted by Yeontan. The dog still hadn't budged from the house.

No matter how much Taehyung had tried, Yeontan still hadn't gone back. He truly had no problem with him staying, but he felt bad that he wasn't there for him the entire day. But another reason why Yeontan had to go back was because he barked, he barked a lot. And his barking, drove the neighbours nuts sometimes.

Jimin bent down to the little pouncing dog and pressed a finger to his lips.

"Shh!" he pat Yeontan and hushed him down. The Pomeranian listened and sat down, with his tongue out and his tail wagging behind him.

"He somehow manages to listen to my friends better than how he listens to me." Taehyung set his things on the small work table next to his bed, and started with his proofreading right away.

"Friends?" Jimin scratched Yeontan's belly and picked him up. "Which other friend of yours knows about Yeontan, huh?"

"Jungkook." Taehyung answered almost immediately, without really paying attention to the conversation.

"Jungkook?" with Yeontan still in his arms, cradled like a baby, Jimin got up and stood next to Taehyung's side with a smile on his face. "You both have gotten close enough for you to call him over? Or-"

"He was drunk." he replied, still not focusing on the conversation. His eyes were glued to his laptop screen.

"Oh, and?" he set Yeontan down and headed to the kitchen.

Taehyung didn't answer back for the next ten minutes, in which Jimin had managed to find Yeontan some treats and arrange two mugs of hot chocolate for him and Taehyung.

"Here." he set the cup on the wooden table.

"Why did you make coffee?" Taehyung replied, without looking back at Jimin. "You know I don't like coffee."

"It's not coffee!" Jimin pushed the mug a bit closer to him, so that he wouldn't have to search for it while he worked. "It's hot chocolate."

"Hot chocolate?" he lifted his brow. "Where did you get the cocoa powder from? I don't have any of that."

"Magic." Jimin whispered, with a dramatic effect. He dumped a few mini marshmallows into Taehyung's mug.

Taehyung looked at the soft mini whites floating in the liquid. "Now where in the world did you get those marshmallows?" he giggled. "Do you randomly just carry around cocoa powder and marshmallows for emergency hot chocolates?"

Jimin got himself a mug and nestled up on the beanbag next to the bed, with a blanket and Yeontan on top. "I got the cocoa as a testing sample from our new suppliers and they happened to include a complimentary side of a small packet of self-made marshmallows."

"Hmm." he hummed and took a sip. "Ooo-" Taehyung bit his lower lip and made a serious expression. "This is good."

Jimin nodded with an assured hum. "By the way, how's the modelling been going?"

"Wait-" Taehyung turned in his chair, to face Jimin. "-are you staying here?"

"I'm just here so that you won't fall asleep while you're working, again."

"I won't fall asleep."

Jimin sipped noisily, raising his eyes to his friend. "Really?"

Taehyung sighed and went back to work. "Fine, do whatever you want."

Jimin smiled to himself and rubbed Yeontan's ears. "By the way, I asked you something."

"What?"

"How's it going with the modelling?"

"It's fine."

Jimin gave a small snarl with a displeased expression. "Why do you always give such blunt responses?"

"We don't do much right now, Jimin. We have a couple of classes with Tessa. It's all part of the training."

"What about Jungkook? How's he?"

"Good? But why are you asking me?"

"Nothing, it's just that he hasn't been to the cafe lately."

Taehyung stopped typing and looked back at Jimin again. "He hasn't?" his tone had a hint of concern in it.

"Nope, and it's been quite some time now. Do you know anything? I mean, you go to the same studio he works in, right?"

"I..I do." Taehyung hadn't been to Serendipity in a while either. "But now that I think about it, I only see him at the studio just occasionally. He doesn't seem to stick around that often."

"Have you been in touch with him lately?"

Taehyung opened his mouth to answer, but stopped and frowned at himself.

He had been so occupied with his work and the classes with Tessa, he hadn't paid attention to his conversations with Jungkook, despite the fact that he couldn't stop thinking about him after that time he got a drunk Jungkook over to his place.

"You haven't, have you?"

"I never realised." Taehyung seemed shocked for some reason.

"Never realised?" Jimin's eyes widened and his jaw fell open in surprise. "You both have literally been all over each other at the cafe ever since the audition! And you tell me you didn't realise?"

"Hey!" Taehyung's lips curved into a small flustered smile. "We were not all over each other!" he pointed his index finger at Jimin.

"Well, it looked like you were." Jimin lowered his tone naughtily.

"No, we were not!" Taehyung giggled shyly, shifting back to his screen.

After about ten minutes of unnecessary teasing and laughing, Jimin stopped and let Taehyung focus on his work. He worked straight for about two or three hours, stretching in his chair or maybe grabbing a small snack from the kitchen.

Jimin, who was supposed to make sure Taehyung didn't sleep off, was in a deep slumber himself, with Yeontan on his lap.

So, when Taehyung was done with his work, had given it a final check and sent the script back, he gently tried to wake Jimin to shift him to the bed. He didn't want him to have an uncomfortable sleeping posture, so shifting him to the bed resulted to be the only solution.

"Jimin." Taehyung spoke softly as he gently shook Jimin. "Jimin, come, move to the bed."

Jimin's eyebrows scrunched as he sleepily nuzzled up in his blanket, not willing to wake up any time soon. Yeontan on his lap didn't even flinch, he was sleeping like a log, just like Jimin was.

Taehyung rested his hands on his hips and sighed. "Jimin, you have to wake up."

Jimin, on the beanbag, groaned out and slightly opened his eyes. Taehyung saw his opportunity and pulled him up. Yeontan gave a shrill bark and jumped down.

"Sorry, Yeontan!" Taehyung whispered as Jimin's limp body fell on him. He struggled to keep his body stable, staggering at his toes, trying to keep Jimin upright.

Finally, he lay Jimin to bed, pulled the comforter on top of him, turned on the tiny night lamp and walked to the beanbag, yawning out heavily. Yeontan ran from in between his legs and propped himself in Jimin's arms.

Taehyung chuckled. 'He really likes my friends more than me, huh?' he thought as he lay down on the soft beanbag by the foot of the bed.

As he lay in the dark, he stared at his phone for a while, swiping through his gallery. A few practice pictures of him from modelling, pictures of Yeontan, pictures he randomly took and forgot about and then came the bunch of pictures Tessa took a few days ago at Serendipity.

In each click Jungkook had the wildest expression on his face. They ranged from a classy 'Hello, my name is Jungkook, care to join us for some drinks?' to a flustered 'TESSA! STOP TELLING HIM ALL THAT!' to him looking at Taehyung in the most desperate state ever.

Taehyung had probably seen those pictures every night before going to sleep, softly giggling to himself as he recalled the time with a drunk Jungkook. He seemed like a very collected person to Taehyung, but under the influence of alcohol, he saw a side of him he never thought he would. Not that getting him drunk on purpose would ever be a good idea, but maybe that side of his fascinated Taehyung in a funny way.

'Taehyuunggg~ You just touched my butt.' the words that Jungkook had so childishly said, played in Taehyung's mind.

He covered his mouth partially in embarrassment and laughed quietly, remembering the moment when he was checking Jungkook's back pockets for his car keys and had, by accident, groped the right side of his butt.

His head fell back, staring at the ceiling, thinking of nothing but Jungkook.

'Why hasn't he been to Serendipity in all this time? It's been quite some time since we talked as well.'

Taehyung wanted to text him or maybe even call him, but then decided that doing either of those things at four in the morning wouldn't really be great.

He set his phone aside, and as he shifted around on the beanbag, his eyes fell to a spot by his bed. He'd seen Jungkook there, in all his muscle's glory, standing naked, with just an underwear on.

His inked arm, the tattoos almost running to cover his neck, those muscles, his underwear pressing against his ripped body. Jungkook must had looked so embarrassed at that time, but Taehyung had only been staring at his body.

Taehyung chuckled at himself in embarrassment for having those thoughts.

'I really need to stop thinking of it like that at four in the morning.' he thought, still smiling.

So, he snuggled up, hugging onto a small pillow and fell asleep.

Jimin was awoken by Yeontan excessively licking his face at around seven in the morning. Frustrated, he sat up but started to doze off again, only to almost fall and squash Yeontan under him.

"Oh no!" Jimin's sleepy eyes widened in fear as the small dog yelped angrily. "I'm so sorry, Yeontan-ah!"

The dog whipped his face from him in annoyance and ran away. Jimin sighed at his failed attempt to apologise and fell back on the bed.

'Wait-' he stared at the ceiling as his fingers felt the mattress he was on top of. 'Why am I on the bed?' he got up with a jerk and saw Taehyung fast asleep on the beanbag. Jimin gave a small smile. 'He put me here again.'

Jimin fumbled around for his phone. There was a text notification on his lock screen that was sent just about five minutes ago, by Yoongi.

'Good morning.'

It may have been just a simple morning text, and Jimin may have just woken up, but he was a smiling, blushing mess.

As he started to type back a reply, another message popped up.

It was a red heart.

The already flustered Jimin buried his face into his palms. "Oh my god, he's so cute!" he mumbled, half squealing in embarrassment. He looked up all of a sudden, to ensure he hadn't disturbed Taehyung.

Taehyung was sleeping, he hadn't moved a muscle.

After Jimin texted his boyfriend back, he got up to freshen up and make breakfast for himself and Taehyung.

At the other end of the city, in the village, Jungkook had stayed the night at his parent's place for a project he'd been working on for his upcoming photo exhibition.

The exhibition was a collaborative project with the photographer who he traveled with when he was still studying the beautiful art of capturing by light. The photographer belonged to foreign soil, but treated this part of the state like her second home. Now she did have a house in the city, but she travelled across the world most of the time.

This duo exhibition was a tribute to their time as student and teacher, a way to hone and flaunt their skills to the public. They actually had a childish bet over whose work would gain more attention. It was her way of challenging Jungkook to see how much he'd grown, in terms of his technique and maturity.

To make it more interesting, they restricted themselves to only certain areas. They could pick any locality of the world, but that was all the accessible range they had. And of course, Jungkook's chosen place was his town, extending all the way from the city to his village.

Outside in the sheep pasture, Jungkook had set up a tent for part of the night to click pictures of the night sky. He sat, gazing and waiting in a warm jacket, wrapped in a cozy blanket. Waiting was all part of the entire idea of capturing space from Earth.

As the night passed, the midnight blue changed to a much lighter hue, panning the vast view above him, slowly changing to a soft, warm loving orange.

All he had to do now, was to capture the first rays of the sun to peek through the mountains in the distance. From where he was, the highest point of the vast pasture, he would capture not only the sun in between the mountains, but also the beautiful colour blooming land below him. The flowers were still budding, but some were in full bloom, and that was the entire beauty of the shot.

At seven, he had had his fill of his photographs and of keeping his patience, and headed down to the house. There, alongside the sheep coming out from the barn to the fresh grass, he saw his grandmother come out of the house with a cloth bag.

"Grandma!" he ran cautiously, with his tent and camera bags hung by his shoulder.

"Jungkookie!" his grandmother waved back at him.

"Good morning, grandma!!" he hugged her lovingly and kissed her cheek.

"Good morning!" she pinched his cheeks. "So, how was the night? Did you get any good clicks?"

"Oh, they were absolutely amazing!" he grinned. "The night sky was so beautiful, the stars looked like an ocean of lights! I really wish I could show them to you!"

"Of course you can! You took pictures didn't you?"

"That's not what I meant, grandma! What I meant was- I'd like to see them with you, right by my side."

His grandmother gave a gentle eye smile. "Let's do it someday then, when the summers come. Alright?"

"Yeah." Jungkook nodded his head. "By the way, where are you headed this early in the morning?" he pointed at her cloth bag.

"To get bread and some other things. Do you want to come along?"

"Sure!" he jumped in excitement. "Just give me a minute, I'll keep this stuff back inside and come along."

He ran inside, almost tripping over Luna and Sol, while wishing the rest of the members a good morning.

After he placed his camera bags and tent inside, he ran back to his grandmother and the two made their way to the local convenience store.

"How are things with Taehyung?" she asked her grandson as the two walked between the bread aisles.

"What's with that question all of a sudden?" Jungkook tried not to react too expressively.

"Oh I know it all, Jungkook." she nudged him.

"Uh huh, grandma?" he smirked as he looked at the baguette's expiration date.

"Do you think anything escapes my eyes?"

Jungkook grinned shyly. His grandmother knew him better than anyone, one small change in his behaviour and she'd notice, it was like she could read his mind.

"No, grandma, nothing does."

"He's a good man, you know?"

Jungkook bit his lower lip and folded his hands to the old lady. "Really, grandma? And you've known him ever since he started delivering strawberries at the house?"

"Of course I have!" she took the baguette from Jungkook's arms and put it in her mini trolley. "He is a really kind man. Though his expressions can be quite confusing to understand sometimes."

"How do you mean?"

"He seems pretty quiet, doesn't talk much. But that night when he had dinner with us?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

His grandmother laughed. "I saw him laugh for the first time then. The two of you make such an adorable couple."

Jungkook gave a shy constricted smile and traced his teeth with his tongue. "No, grandma. We're not a couple."

"Not a couple yet." she pointed out as the two headed to the cashier.

Jungkook looked away and chuckled. No matter how far-fetched the idea of being in a relationship with Taehyung seemed to Jungkook, it wasn't as if he hadn't imagined it.....Of course he had, but he always overpowered the thought only because he did not want to build up a fort of hope.

"Did I hear right?" a scruffy voice said from behind the cashier's counter. "Has Jungkook finally found someone?"

"Oh no, Harry." Jungkook's grandmother looked at the bearded man with a straw hat. "He's still climbing by that obstacle."

Harry smirked as he beeped the breads and other things on his computer. "It's been a long time since I last saw you, Jungkook. How old were you? Fifteen? Sixteen?"

"Uncle Harry-" Jungkook said. "I was nineteen when you last saw me."

"Nineteen?" he looked up at him with a bit of a surprise. "You looked like a lil' kid back then! How old are you now?"

"Twenty three."

"Pretty old enough to find someone and settle down in life, don't you think, Harry?" the grandmother asked him modestly.

"Yes, of course, Mrs. Jeon." Harry agreed politely.

"Grandma!" Jungkook groaned out.

His grandmother laughed out and pat Jungkook's arm. "We're only just pulling your leg, Kookie!"

"Yeah...." he smiled. "The leg that's probably going to fall off if you continue like this."

Harry laughed and handed the grandmother back her bag, and the two started to head back home.

On the small narrow road back home, Jungkook managed to take a few quick shots of his grandmother without her noticing. She despised getting her photographs clicked, not that she didn't like it, it was because she felt that they made her look unpleasant or ugly.

And that really wasn't true. Jungkook's grandmother was, as he described it, the goddess of beauty herself. Her skin was so pure, that even with her aged wrinkles, it managed to glow in the sun like golden nectar. Her hair, though white and grey, were still soft like silk. But her elegance wasn't all part of her physical appearance. The grandmother was beautiful in and out. Her heart was made of pure happiness and love, and maybe a little bit of nagging, but in a good way.

His grandmother was fast to sense that her pictures were being taken secretly and nearly chased Jungkook around with the baguette.

"Okay, Okay!" Jungkook put his arms up in surrender, laughing like a small child. "I'm sorry! I won't do it!"

"You better not!" she shoved the baguette back into her bag and managed to crack into a smile.

The two started walking again, with the mildly cold air hitting their faces. The grandmother had her arm around Jungkook's, just so that he wouldn't click her pictures again.

"It was a cold sunny day just like this." she said all of a sudden, looking up at the sky.

"Just like when?"

"That day when you finally decided to wake up from that dark room of yours and let me in."

Jungkook thought for a while, trying to recollect his thought. "Oh! That day?"

"Yes. Do you realise how tensed I got when you told me that you had to tell me something? The number of awful possibilities going on in my head almost gave me a heart attack! I thought- 'what if he's gotten into smoking? Did those seniors get him into drugs?' I was so worried!"

Jungkook scrunched his nose and grinned.

"But it was such a relief when you said not one of those things."

"I was quite surprised when you hugged me after I told you." Jungkook said back softly. "I didn't know you would react like that."

"At that moment-" her voice got soft. "-all I could think of was for how long you had been going through all that, all alone. The thought made my heart crumble. How could I not see the pain you were in?"

"Because I hid it, grandma."

"I know that, Kookie. But I felt guilty about how I couldn't see it before."

Jungkook held her hand. "There's no need for you to feel that, grandma. You were there for me when I needed you the most, your support, your love, everything. It made me happy to know I had someone beside me."

"We're family, Jungkook. You always have us by your side."

Jungkook had to leave that very morning after breakfast, although he would have loved to spend the sunday there, with his family, the dogs, the sheep, but he had a meeting with the owner of the gallery where he and his teacher would be setting up their exhibition. Besides that, he also had a meeting with the designers at the studio for the discussion of the summer collection for the company.

He had a lot on his plate and it was going to be hard to work all of it out without any proper sleep from last night.

On his way to the gallery, at the edge of the city, he grabbed a muffin and a cup of coffee from the town.

Surprisingly, the gallery's owner knew who Jungkook was. She apparently was a great fan of his work. The two bonded over their similar interests in photography and she also confessed that she had bought quite a few of his pictures for two of her mansions abroad.

She was quite a rich lady.

The deal was finalised quite quickly over lunch, and the gallery was now booked for three entire weeks for Jungkook and his teacher.

When Jungkook got back in his car, he noticed that it was already two and his second meeting was in just about an hour.

He managed to reach the studio just twenty minutes before the commencement of the meeting. The meeting room was already full of people with their charts and some even had samples for their designs ready.

"Hey-" Jungkook called out to one of his colleagues as he took his seat. "Are Tessa and the models here?" it had been a pretty long day till then, but Taehyung had always been on his mind in some way or the other.

"Tessa?" his colleague asked back. "Oh, she's taken them on a small field trip."

"A field trip?"

"Yep. They went to the fashion show just down the city, Tessa didn't tell you?"

"You know she never tells me anything." he was a bit let down because he couldn't see Taehyung after the meeting, but he decided to focus first and maybe text him later. After all, it had been quite a long time since he'd had a conversation with Taehyung.

Jungkook had mostly been busy with his project for the last couple of days. He had to capture the night sky in perfection, and the last couple of days was the only short window he had. Which was why he'd go back from the studio early, get some sleep, and stay awake for the night, waiting, observing and capturing.

The meeting went on for a gruel-some two hours, when Jungkook announced that they should let off some steam and grab some refreshments before they wrap things up for the day.

The lot headed to the studio's large staff kitchen.

At that moment, the models were back from their field trip.

Taehyung was alongside Aki and Angie, as they followed Tessa. On the way, they bumped paths with the crew who were out for refreshments.

Tessa gave the group a glance and then faced her students. "I have a little something to do. Why don't all of you head to our practice area? I'll be right behind you."

The students nodded and started to head on.

Taehyung, at the back of the group, noticed a familiar face in the adjacent crowd. It was Jungkook, he was talking to someone else. Taehyung piped his head as he walked slowly, to get a clearer look at him, but he was being covered by other heads in the way.

Taehyung had a great urge to walk to him, maybe say 'hi', but-

"Taehyung?" Aki called out for him from a distance.

Angie walked up to him and dragged Taehyung by the arm. "Come on! It's the last runway walk practice of the day, hurry up!!"

Taehyung looked back at Angie, and then at Aki, but his mind was still at Jungkook. But when he looked back, the whole group had already walked away.

After forty-five minutes, the meeting was wrapped up and everyone in the room wished each other a good day and left.

Like always, Jungkook left last. He still sat in his seat, giving the plans on the boards a final look and noting down pointers for their next meeting. He spent about ten extra minutes in the room, alone and then finally stretched in exhaustion.

He cracked his neck and then his knuckles. "I should get going." he mumbled to himself and got up. He swung on his jacket from the back of his chair and headed out of the room to his office.

He got a couple of pictures from his work desk, went down to the lobby, wished everyone a good night and then headed out of the studios, to his car, to go home for a good sleep.

When he reached his car, a voice startled him from behind.

"Jungkook-"

Jungkook jerked back, almost dropping everything in his hands. When he saw who it was, Jungkook's heart started to beat in an irregular pattern, giddily.

"Taehyung." the words escaped his mouth.

The man walked to Jungkook. "Hey."

Jungkook smiled. "Hi." it was a completely different pleasant feeling seeing Taehyung after so long. "Weren't you on that field trip with T-Tessa?"

"Field trip?"

"Ah-" Jungkook shook his head. "-the fashion show, I-I mean." he cursed at himself for speaking with a strutter. It was like he was speaking to Taehyung for the very first time after starting to have feelings for him.

"Yeah, we were at the fashion show. We learnt a few things and came back here. We just got off a few minutes ago."

"Oh, I see." Jungkook nodded. "What are you doing here, standing in the cold?"

Taehyung stuffed his hands into his baggy jacket's pockets and shrugged. "I was waiting for you."

"F-for me?" Jungkook's eyes widened, but a small smile perked on his face.

"Yeah." he smiled back in sync with him. "We hadn't talked in a while- and, um... I saw you in the building right when I came back, so I figured I could stop by and chat a little."

Jungkook couldn't really believe his ears. "Uh....Yeah! Sure, definitely! Do you want to go somewhere?"

'Ah, shit, Jungkook.' he thought. 'You can't just randomly ask him to go somewhere! What if he finds it weird? What if he just wants to stand here and talk a little to catch up?'

"Actually, I was thinking the same thing." Taehyung replied. "There was a place I really wanted you to see. I'm not sure if you've already seen it before, but I-"

"Yeah! Sure!" Jungkook interrupted him rather excitedly. "I'd love to."

Taehyung squeezed his lips in, resisting his urge to burst out laughing.

"Sorry." Jungkook said back. His ears were burning up in embarrassment. "For speaking out of turn."

"It's alright." Taehyung nodded his head awkwardly, still biting back the urge to laugh.

"So, shall we go?"

In the car, Taehyung directed Jungkook the way as he drove.

Jungkook had no idea where they were going, they were on roads he had never been on before. It was like exploring the small hidden streets of the city.

Taehyung had discovered that place while traveling the city in his first year of living there. After meeting Jungkook, whenever he thought or visited the place, he'd think of him. Not because it had any straight connections with Jungkook, but Taehyung felt that Jungkook had to be a part of what he had seen and wanted to share it with him

"Just right here." Taehyung pointed to a sidewalk that had a small fence, on the other side of which, was a park.

They got out of the car and Taehyung led the way.

"Is this what you wanted to show me?" Jungkook looked around.

The orange sky was visible on his right and on his left, were trees lined up in a row.

"Just a little walk from here." Taehyung replied back.

There were a couple of people walking around, minding their own business. Some sitting on the grass, some kids running around the big trees. It was just like any ordinary park.

"Can I ask you something?" Taehyung asked.

"Yeah?" Jungkook walked beside him.

"Have you had someone in your life before? Before that woman you were with at Serendipity?"

"Before Susan?" Jungkook looked at him, and then straight ahead. "No, not really. It was just complicated. What about you? Are you seeing someone?"

"No. I've never really had stable relationships. Not that I had many of them, but they just don't seem to last."

Jungkook nodded his head. The atmosphere around the two, for some reason, was a bit awkward. It was like they were forcing conversation about random topics.

"By the way-" Taehyung started again. "-your hair has gotten pretty long."

Jungkook looked up at his bangs and smiled cheekily, touching his hair. "Yeah, I need to get them trimmed."

"This look actually suits you, though."

"Does it?"

"Yeah, it really does."

They walked a bit more, talking about what Jungkook had been doing for the past couple of days, when Taehyung looked straight ahead and said "Oh- we're here."

Jungkook turned his gaze from Taehyung, to where he was looking.

"Whoa." Jungkook's breath went shallow. Behind the tall lined trees, was a long grey concrete wall. But it wasn't grey anymore. The wall was a splash of vibrant colours and messages. The array of the spectrum of colours displayed on the wall was intimidating, it made the hair on Jungkook's nape stand up.

To his right, to his left, the wall extended about a couple of meters, not too long, but it was quite tall, easily about fifteen feet in height.

Jungkook's mouth was open as he admired the beautiful graffiti and quotes on the wall. He had never seen anything like that before. The wall had all sorts of messages - messages of empowerment, of equity, of respect, of the versatility of love and gender, it had it all.

"Why have I never seen this place before?" Jungkook mumbled.

Taehyung, who was standing by his side, looked at him. "So-" Taehyung's eyes were sparkling with eagerness. "What do you think?"

"I love it." he looked back at Taehyung.

"I knew you would." he smiled and gazed at the wall. "Hey, how about I pose for you here?"

"Here?"

"Yeah." he pointed at a pair of wings on the wall. "Right by the wall."

Jungkook nodded his head happily as Taehyung went over to the wings.

When he clicked the picture, Taehyung rushed back to look at it.

"Ah!" he groaned in disappointment.

"What's the matter?"

"The green from the jacket seems to ruin the look against those blue wings." Taehyung huffed in frustration. "Wait- do you mind if I wore yours?"

"M-mine?"

"Yep!" Taehyung seemed a bit too excited. He had already taken his jacket off. So, Jungkook had no choice but to give his to Taehyung.

"You can wear this for now, so that you don't get cold." Taehyung put his baggy jacket over Jungkook's shoulder and ran back to the wings. "I'm ready!" he waved back.

With Taehyung's jacket on his shoulders, Jungkook held his camera to his eye and let the scene set in.

He focused the lens on Taehyung, letting the sunset's glazing light fall on him naturally. Taehyung looked like an angel, the blue wings sprouting from behind him, the way he posed for the camera, the way his soft hair swept in the light breeze, everything about him was just so beautiful in Jungkook's eyes.

Jungkook took in a deep breath as he concentrated and breathed in only one scent. It was from Taehyung's olive green jacket.

The scent was warm, crisp, soft, and yet sweet somehow, overpowering that of the cold dry air.

Jungkook hadn't felt Taehyung's presence this close before and the feeling was indescribable. He felt so secure and warm with just his jacket on his shoulders, he felt like he was being drawn into his arms, being held tight.

It was a feeling he didn't want to forget anytime soon.
