Afterword.

When I got the idea of writing The Way into Hurting Someone, I was in a really sad place.

Most of the story's plot was around the fact that a good friend of mine had stopped talking to me—texting me, to be exact.

We had become really close, and like any other teenager at a certain point, I believed everything he said and thought he was one of the strongest humans alive—because I knew what he had and was going through.

That's not even important anymore, because I got over it, but it was pretty difficult for me to continue writing the story—since I had gotten over it by the time I got to the middle of it.

I had to continue, though, I couldn't leave my best friends hanging, which reminds me that I dedicate this story to them—MrsMadHatter01 & JarianaWorld .

I dedicate it to you girls, because of what you've gone through, putting up with my whole oh-I-am-sad crap, but I also dedicate this story to those future readers who have been hurt, mentally or physically, by, not only guys, but girls, friends, parents, siblings, teachers, classmates and anybody else.

I want you to know, that if they hurt you, they don't deserve you. You're awesome—precious in fact—and you should feel like that.

Facts, plot twisters and other stuff that went through my mind while writing this story.

1. I know you all believed Nicole Jackson was the villain of the story, and she was, but I decided to leave her alone.

2. I originally based Nicole Jackson on a girl that I disliked, but she did something that helped me when I was feeling really bad, and we're not the biggest friends, but I decided to leave her alone—she's a good person.

3. I was going to leave this story with a happy ending, but then it wouldn't be fair to call it The Way into Hurting Someone.

4. My favorite part of the story is, "I did," he responded, "Just not with you."

5. I believe this is one of the saddest stories I've written—not that I've made a lot of them, but still.

6. Evangeline Cooper is a combination of JarianaWorld 's humor, MrsMadHatter01 's intelligence and another friend of mine's—her name's Ivette—advices.

7. Since I lost my sadness or hurting feelings at the middles of the story, I had to listen to sad music when I wrote.

8. Samuel Grant is based on a classmate who has a crush on one of my best friends—everyone's based on everyone I know, lol.

9. I love Art and Chemistry—well, I love school, but those are cool classes—that's why they were the only classes Matthew and Elodie were together.

10. This is not shocking, but I based Elodie's last name off of mine, because I really like my last name, lol.
