Chapter 3
After dinner the girls were back in their room getting ready for bed when Annie asked
"Do you think mother will make you get married when we get home?"
Sophia sat down on her bed and sighed as she said
"I'm not sure, but I hope not. There is still so much I want to do before I get married."
Annie smiled as she ran over and hugged her sister
"I'm so happy that you're not ready to get married, because I'm going to miss you when you do."
Annie said quietly. Sophia smiled as she hugged her sister tighter.
"Do you want to go explore before bed? Aunt Mary doesn't have to know."
Sophia asked as she stood up and grabbed her coat. Annie looked at he sister and gasped as she said
"Are you actually going to break the rules, because Aunt Mary said we couldn't leave the room after nine o'clock.
Sophia nodded her head as she gave Annie her coat as both of the girls quietly walked out of their room. A few hours later the girls were down on E deck and found the pool. Annie smiled as she looked at the crystal clear pool and said
"I wish Aunt Mary had a swim outfit made for us."
Sophia nodded her head in agreement as she looked over at the clock and said
"We should go back it's almost midnight."
Annie sadly nodded her head then fallowed her sister back to their room. When they got to their stateroom they quickly stopped and looked down the hall to see if their Aunt was waiting for them. Both girls sighed with relief when they saw that she wasn't there. The girls walked into the room and got ready for bed. The next morning Sophia got up early and started getting ready for the day. She walked over to her closest and picked out a dress for the day. By the time she was ready Annie started waking up. Sophia smiled at her sister as she said
"Good morning little duck."
Annie smiled as she jumped out of bed and quacked like a duck as she started getting ready for breakfast. About fifteen minutes later both girls were ready and they walked to their Aunt's room. Aunt Mary smiled when she opened the door and saw her nieces
"Good morning girls, how was your evening last night?"
She asked as she looked at Sophia. Sophia started to panic as she looked at the floor. Annie smiled as she nodded her head as Aunt Mary grabbed her purse. Then the group started walking to breakfast. After a uneventful breakfast the girls were on the deck walking Lilly. Sophia smiled as she looked at the bright blue ocean that surrounded the ship. Annie smiled as she looked at her older sister
"You should start painting again, you were really good at it."
Annie said as the continued walking. Sophia smiled at the thought of her art studio back at home.
"I will start painting again, if you start singing again. Aunt Mary doesn't even know you sing."
Annie rolled her eyes as they walked to the first class lounge. A few hours later they were eating dinner when Mr. Jackabee walked over to their table. Sophia looked up and mentally rolled her eyes at the young man. Then she watched him walk over to her Aunt and say something that she couldn't hear. A few seconds later he walked over to her.
"Would you mind joining me on a walk miss?"
He asked Sophia. Sophia smiled as she stood up and said
"I would love to join you."
A few hours later Sophia has learned a lot about the young man she was with. Then they stopped at her cabin door. Sophia smiled at him as he said
"I hope to get to know you more Sophia."
She blushed as he kissed her forehead then walked down the hall.
