Chapter 11: The greatest trap of all, Part 1
Sorry for taking so long! I hope this makes up for it! I will upload Part 2 as soon as possible!
"Morro?"
"I'm right here, YN. I'm not going to harm you." Morro says soothingly. "Relax."
"I'm totally relaxed." You answer, perhaps a little bit too quickly.
"YN, you forget that I'm in your head now. I can see that you're not calm."
"Sorry, this is all kind of new to me. You know, the whole possession thing?" You say with a hint of sarcasm, lifting your arms up in a gesture of annoyance.
"I understand, sweetheart, I really do."
"And why is it that I'm in control of my actions?" You demand to know.
"I am only partially possessing you. If I need to take full control, I will, but in the meantime, I'll just guide you, like this." He answers, making you walk forwards as you converse with him.
"Like a puppet?"
"Sort of." He laughs. You realize that it's the first time you've ever heard him laugh, apart from his chuckle after you first kissed. "..But an utterly gorgeous puppet." He adds, laughing again. You blush. His laugh is so darn seductive. I love it!
"You should laugh more. I lov"..
"Maybe I will." Morro interrupts in a silky, low purr. "If the Master of Matter desires it, I shall endeavour to please her. I rather like her voice myself. And she's so shapely, too." He flirts.
"Mmm.. You like that, do you?" You ask coyly, playing his game.
"I love it." He replies.
You giggle. "And it's only for you, Morro."
"The attitude too?" He asks playfully.
"Especially that." You respond with a smile. Then a twig snaps in the bushes off to your left, and Morro snaps to attention.
"That sounded big." He says, summoning twin swords into your hands. The blades glow with a ghostly green light, and you have no doubt that they can deal a lot of damage in a fight.
"Big? That thing sounds huge!" You say, hearing the growling and snorting of the lumbering beast coming closer and closer to where you're standing. You know that Morro's itching for a fight, and he's already bracing you for it, but then he seems to realize that there's a possibility that you might get hurt, and he stands down.
"I guess that we should run." He says, gritting your teeth in frustration. "I wouldn't wanna see you get hurt." He adds gruffly. He is concerned about me!
"Of course I am. I need you." He replies, then he coughs awkwardly. "I mean like.. uh.. you know"..
"I'm not sure I do"..
"Let's go!" He mentally cuts in on your sentence and makes you run to the right, abandoning his motorcycle, which would only call the creatures' attention to you.
After a couple of minutes, you stumble upon a waterfall. Morro makes a satisfied noise in the back of your throat.
"Look, YN." He says, turning your head towards a slight clearing.
"What is it, Morro? I can't see anything unusual."
"Look again. Behind those trees, there's a little bit of a clearing. Do you see the structure?"
You squint in the direction he's showing you. Sure enough, hidden behind the trees, you can just make out the glint of sunlight on metal. "It's in there?" You ask.
Yes, I can feel it." He replies, making you run towards it.
"Morro, wait!" You warn him. "There could be booby".. You step over a laser. "..Traps." You sigh. "Uh-oh."
"It's just a light." Morro says. "Why are you so worried?"
"It's the modern age!".. You shout, as security droids in white robes file out of the building. .."Even lights can be dangerous!"
"Duly noted." He answers calmly. "Are you gonna take these guys or what?"
"Yes!" You answer, annoyed, as one of the droids declares, "Intruder! Drop your weapons!" He says, pointing a gun straight at your chest.
