-Chapter 2: Moody Skies-

(someone really just set an expiration date on Prime Watcher's existence I can't-)

The sun wasn't as bright as it should have been.

Frowning at the sky, Xisuma knew it was a problem. He stood in the bay of his iron farm, leaning against one of the openings with his arms crossed. Admin panels and server information scrolled past on the black visor of the yellow helmet he wore. X quickly scanned the words for any information that would be of use. There was a chance some information would be given to the admins, but by the looks of it, no information would be released.

In that case, the admin knew only one thing about this situation.

One of the two Prime Admins wasn't doing so great.

Xisuma secretly aspires to be a Prime Admin. He, however, knew the responsibilities and risks of being the highest ranking player. He wasn't sure if he was ready to have Minecraft's quality depend on him and his emotions. Sure, Xisuma was usually calm and managed a server, but it definitely wasn't as big as Minecraft.

For now, he was content with his Purpura rank. Third highest rank, indicated by the three tally marks scratched in his shoulder pad with an obsidian sword.

A Prime Admin's sword.

More specifically, the one everyone knew about. She tested him and gave him his rank all those years ago as the other second Prime Admin stood on the side with his hands folded behind him.

Not one player in Minecraft knew who the second Prime Admin was, though everyone knew he existed. The only information anyone has about him is that he was the youngest and one of the most powerful Prime Admins in Minecraft's history. It's been at least ten years since his Prime Admin test. He had kept his identity hidden for so long, and has made no indication of making himself known.

Xisuma didn't mind, he wasn't dying to know his identity was like some other admins. A few admins went as far as trying to trap the Prime, but he always avoided it, almost as if he had experience with traps. Those admins were punished in ways Xisuma didn't know, but feared because of the amount of magical power the Prime's wielded.

The two Prime Admins were so powerful, most admins would faint at the sheer power that radiated off of them. A few admins almost passed out before, and even then, their magic was toned down by at least a tenfold.

Many players and admins say they're overpowered, that the Primes shouldn't be able to have that much magic.

However, they have to be, it's almost a must for what their job is. If they were like any other player or admin, how would they take care of Minecraft the way they do? How would they protect Minecraft from the threats, such as the Watchers, and, to a lower extent, the hackers?

This is why Xisuma ponders the intelligence (or lack thereof) of some players and admins.

Three consecutive beeps from his helmet pulled him from his thoughts. On his visor, Xisuma saw new server messages.

<Iskall85> Xisuma
<Iskall85> the sky is moody
<Iskall85> is that normal

The admin directed his eyes to the blue skies above. Lo and behold, it was faintly flickering as if someone was trying to balance a lever switch in the middle. The sun was much dimmer than earlier, barely giving off any light. X huffed quietly, concern gradually growing in his mind.

<Xisuma> nope, not normal.
<Xisuma> something must have happened with a Prime Admin. as soon as I get information, I'll tell you

Xisuma jumped out of the farm's bay, spreading his elytra and shooting through the jungle. He weaved through the trees, the vines and leaves brushing his arms. By the time he landed in the main building of his base, no new messages had popped up. X absentmindedly clicked his tongue and started to collect the bottles of honey that sat neatly in the storage chest.

In all of Xisuma's existence, this has only happened one other time. The Prime Admin, after a few days of silence, vaguely explained the situation. If history repeats itself, they wouldn't have to wait long for the explanation of the flickering sky.

The admin shrugged to himself. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few days.

(uhhh the Writing Feather may have forgotten how to explain her own AU and spent two days staring at the screen)

(Okay so, you already noticed some differences. This rewrite is what I had in mind when I wrote the original, but it didn't happen like this because I was just messing around and always typed it a midnight...
Since is a rewrite, I'm probably not going to focus all my time on this because I have other books to write. I also have random ideas for future chapters, so if updates are weird and staggered, I was working on those. [I know I said A/Ns will be shorter but like important info lol] Hope you understand :))
