-Chapter 10: Half-Recovery-

(Referring to the comments on the last chapter: If you want to read Grian's voice in Prime Admin form in Russian, sure. Whatever... *chuckles* whatever floats your boat.
Enjoy!)

Xisuma didn't sleep that night.

Despite the heavy silence that fell over the infirmary, something kept him up. The admin couldn't put a finger on what it was, but gave up trying to figure it out at midnight. X stared at the ceiling. There was no light in the infirmary, and the moon's light didn't make it into the room.

Until the morning, he was left with his thoughts. Whether the time went by faster or slower, he couldn't tell. It was all the same.

At one in the morning, he was thinking about the magic he was able to use. It humored him that many players thought you had to be born with admin magic to be an admin. In reality, every player had admin magic, but not many were able to... unlock it, for lack of a better word.

Opening his gloved hands, a light purple wisp curled around his fingers. The amount of times something went wrong during training was more than he'd like to admit.

Xisuma looked at his clothing with a chuckle. The magic would match better with his other set, but it was for the bees.

His hand fell to his lap, magicless.

Somewhere in between his thoughts, he reflected upon the fight in InvadedLands. He himself did well overall, but as a group, not so much. All admins present had also learned the Prime's name. Which, in Xisuma's opinion, was an interesting name indeed.

At three, the admin was thinking about the code he would have to fix in Hermitcraft. The thoughts were almost automatic. At times like this when he would stay up all night fixing the server, the code was the only thing on his mind.

At four in the morning, X was thinking about the Hermits. Nothing extremely specific, just reminiscing on memories of both good and bad.

At five, the sun rose in the distance, casting a soft glow through the huge bay windows. It filled every space of the infirmary, and no longer was it a box of darkness.

Finally being able to see clearly for the first time in hours, Xisuma looked around. His eyes fell on the admin in the corner of the room.

It was the male Prime Admin, sitting on the bed and facing the wall. The Prime sat with his legs crossed, head ducked and shoulders barely rising and falling. His golden wings were tightly wrapped around him, reflecting the light that had flooded in. He hasn't moved since they got there, leading Xisuma to believe he had also stayed up throughout the night.

After observing him for a few moments, X knew something about him was different. The Prime Admin seemed... defeated. Deflated.

"Have a question, or are you going to keep staring at my back?" The Prime Admin's voice barely carried his way. X flinched, caught off guard. Was he that obvious?

"Yes... sorry, Prime Admin." Xisuma asked, his voice coming out shakier than he intended. The Prime tilted his head slightly and shifted on his bed, waiting for the question. Within a second, Xisuma decided that this action would either end his life in Minecraft, or would leave him scared and terrified for the rest of his existence.

He took a deep breath before continuing, "Are we going to be able to stop the Watchers?" The Prime Admin sat in silence for a moment, raising his head. Xisuma's heart, in that short amount of time, started beating harder and louder, hammering against his ribs.

His thoughts ran at a hundred miles an hour. Did he say something wrong? Did he somehow piss off the Prime? Should he have asked a different question? Should he not have asked anything at all? Is X overthinking and the Prime Admin is just thinking of an answer? Did-

"Continue like this, no. If we change our tactics- which we are- probably," the Prime muttered loud enough for the Purpura admin to hear. Xisuma frowned. He didn't like the sound of that. Probably was not a definite yes. "It'll work out, Void, we have information and a plan." The Prime Admin surely felt his unease. X released a breath he didn't know he held, pulling a chuckle from the Prime.

The doors were quietly opened, thankfully not squeaking. A few medics and the other Prime walked in. She went directly to the other, muttering in a quiet volume. Another medic saw X already awake (or so they thought), and checked up on him.

The check up was quick from the medic's years of experience. It was a miracle Xisuma didn't have a concussion or anything of the like. Even the medic was impressed. They left him alone, moving onto the other admins who were slowly waking up.

Most of them complained quietly, disappointed the sun had risen. X couldn't blame them, most of them were suffering from magical exhaustion or horrible wounds that needed to be healed. But even though he was up for the entire night, used more magic than usual, and slammed into a cliffside, Xisuma didn't feel or seem tired in the slightest.

Thank you, Hermitcraft server, for forcing his exhaustion endurance to skyrocket.

Later that day, the Primes held a meeting in the infirmary. The medics adjusted the bed spacing as the male Prime Admin quickly built a large table in the center. It only served as a place to gather around with the injured admins able to hear from their beds. The healed admins stood around the table, giving the Primes space.

"He's making us play his game. At this rate, he's going to win," Hypixel said, subconsciously picking at the angry red scars that lined his arms. The Prime Admin tilted his head up, keeping the hood low.

"Then we'll play his game, but I'm sure we don't intend on losing," he said, pushing his glasses up. Those who weren't at InvadedLands were visibly startled with the use of his voice. Xisuma quietly chuckled, sharing a look with the other admins.

"Wait- what?" Another admin asked, obviously stunned.

"Did I stutter?" The admin quickly shook his head, eyes wide. Smirking, the Prime tilted his head up, giving the admin an unsettling stare.

"What's the plan? Did we even make a new one?" Defek- another Argentum admin, asked. The Prime nodded his head, rocking back on his heels.

"The Watchers are going to be using mostly their magic in an attempt to catch us off guard," Libra said. "Which means this attack is going to be worse than last time. Structures will get blown up, so whoever's the lucky- or, unlucky server owner, will have to clean the mess up if the server can be saved."

There weren't many admins in the room that owned a server, but those who did shared a concerned look. Mainly, Defek, Hypixel, and Xisuma.

Hypixel cleared his throat, clenching the edge of the table, "Does anyone by chance know if there is going to be another-"

Xisuma's communicator rang loudly. Everyone turned to him. X flushed red and fumbled with the device as he read the message. After a few silent and tense moments, he looked directly at the Prime Admins, a flash of panic in his eyes before it was replaced with a calm and collected expression.

Everyone knew the answer to Hypixel's question before Xisuma said anything.

"Seems like Hermitcraft is next." Xisuma took a breath, controlling his voice before it had a chance to crack. "And they're attacking right now."
