Chapter 9. Just a Distraction

(Not proof read, like most of my chapters)

POV: Grian
Location: Admin HeadQuarters

My golden aura flashed dangerously as I strode through the doors to the Admin HQ. I quickly transform my clothes into my normal black hoodie and jeans. Many Watchers were gathered out side, endangering all of the players. My eye twitched, tears threatening to fall. I pulled the doors shut, shaking the entire HQ. I called all the admins from Tier Erythros and up to assist me. It was going to be 169 admins vs. over 1000 watchers. I wanted to leave some admins with the players so nothing else can be damaged.

Libra teleported herself next to me, looking at the Watchers with flaming golden eyes. The other admins eventually showed up in a short amount of time.

"Listen up, and listen well, all of you." I say in a low dangerous voice. Most froze.

"Watcher's are here to try and invade us. I don't care what you have to do: freeze, cut, knock unconscious, break bones, kill... do not let them get inside and take over the Admin HQ. Do not let them get to the players. There are more of them than us. Use all of your ability, it doesn't matter. Protect them at all costs. And remember, don't look into the Head Watcher's eyes. " I look and nod towards Libra, who pulled the doors open. She and I instantly knocked out at least 50 of them as the door widened. Magic came and went, shields were conjured and broken, people on their side fell quicker than us. Libra and I both were protecting the other admins, ourselves, the HQ, and not making eye contact with the Head Watcher who tried to control us.

Zap, slice (with sword), stab, shield, cut, block, blast... it was the same pattern over and over again. Watcher after Watcher, we took most of them down quickly, barely breaking a sweat.

Time seems to slow down as a Watcher's blade begins it's path to my face. My sword wasn't close enough to block, I couldn't move from my position, and my energy was just sent to take another Watcher down. I lean back, slightly avoiding it, but it still sliced across my face. I blast that Watcher back a millisecond afterward. I yell in pain as I stumble into a wall. I grasp my face, feeling my blood stain and drip onto my robes. My face became numb as I try and heal it via Prime Energy, but nothing was working. I had used most of it fighting, and it takes time to build itself back up again. I look through my bloody fingers at some of the other admins fighting.

Skeppy was just kicked in the gut and cut across his chin. He took out that Watcher before getting kicked again and pinned down by 4 other Watchers. Xisuma was blasted across the entire courtyard, slamming into a wall a few hundred blocks away from me. He fell to the ground, not moving for a couple of seconds. He tried getting up, but stumbled again. He sat against the wall, holding his head. Blood dripped from his side and his lips. He probably had a concussion. Libra had 7 Watchers attacking her simultaneously. Hypixel was shot out of the sky, falling hard onto the cobblestone floor, knocking Biffa and Iamulatir to the floor with him. BadBoyHalo was punched in the jaw right after he disarmed that same Watcher. He fell backwards to the floor, falling onto another person. AppleG was cornered with his back to the trench. He used bad footing and fell into the water. Noobcrew helped him out of the water, knowing that AppleG couldn't swim. I close my eyes, not being able to look anymore.

Remember when we went on a rant about controlling emotions at the All-Admin Meeting? Yeah, well, screw that.

Lightning came from the cloudless sky, striking various places among the server. Most of the Watchers were thrown off their feet, obviously not trained to stay balanced in situations similar to this. This gave my admins enough time to recover. They all looked at each other, resetting and healing as best as they could. I go to the center of the courtyard, taking any challengers down with a flick of my wrist, holding my sword.

Silver, light purple, gold, red, blue, and pick energy was all over the place, protecting and attacking the correct person. Many admins were injured and down, but all of the Watchers were almost gone. We looked towards the Head Watcher who was laughing his butt off. We landed behind him. I choked him from behind, holding him to my body.

"What's so funny, Kyle?" I hiss in his ear.

"It was just a distraction." He laughed. "Those Watchers that were here didn't matter. They were just clones of real people."

"Where are the rest?" Libra growled.

"Another server. But you've got time. Damaged most of your people, didn't I?" He popped away in a puff of black smoke, making me fall backwards. Libra caught me and pulled me up. The admins picked off the rest of the Watchers. They looked for their friends if they were unconscious. No deaths happened today. Only one person was knocked unconscious. Skeppy carried/dragged Halo to where everyone was gathered. He set him on the ground, sitting next to him and looking at him with a guilty expression. He's probably blaming himself for not being able to help Halo. I walked over, making sure nothing was wrong. I knelt down next to Halo. I checked his pulse, which was beating steadily. I lightly grabbed his wrist, lifting it up. His hand was limp. He was out cold. Halo wasn't getting up anytime soon.

"Is- is he alright?" Skeppy asked, concern and worry etched in his face and sounding in his voice. I nod. He sighed a sigh of relief. I walk over to Xisuma, who hadn't moved from his position since I last saw him.

"Void." I said. He flinched. Sensitivity to sound.

"Void, do you know what rank I am?" I say, letting my aura shine. He squinted his eyes at me. After a moment's delay, he shook his head. Sensitivity to light, delay in response, and memory loss.

"Xisuma, please take your helmet off." I say, slowly bringing his hands to his helmet. He did it without complaining and saying a word. His eyes were glazing every few seconds, making him appear dazed. I softly put a hand on his shoulder.

"Do you know what's going on?"

"Yes- um, no, not really." He said, slurring his words together. [im sorry i dont know how to write slurred words]. He definitely has a concussion. I put my arm under his arm, supporting him when he stands. He tried to stand again, but stumbled. He would've fallen into the dirt face first if I didn't catch him. He stumbled again, this time into me. I sigh and carry him bridal style with him holding his helmet limply. It was a weird sight for sure, as I was holding someone much taller than me. As I approach the group, Biffa cautiously walked towards me.

"Um, do you want me to carry him?"

"No, Plays, I got it. Thanks for offering, though." I declined his offer. He nodded and stepped back.

"Where do we go now?" Skeppy asked in a monotone voice.

"Well, where's the infirmary?" AppleG asked, drenched in water. Hypixel stumbled closer to the group, holding his arm in pain. It seems to have broken from the fall earlier.

"When we built that room, we took parts of the HQ down and used most of those blocks to build that huge area. The infirmary was one of those places. We had to move the beds to where the other players are." He said.

"The players will see us and panic." Libra commented. I snorted.

"They probably already have. They're windows in that room, you know. Most of which are facing the courtyard." I say, starting to walk into the HeadQuarters. Everyone follows me, muttering to each other. When we get to the large room, I kick the doors open, scaring the many players who were near the door. The admins who were medics looked at us and sighed. One approached us, it was the Main Medic. Her name was Lani, and she was a Skyblock admin.

"What on Earth happened?" She asked.

"Didn't you see what happened through the windows?" I ask. She nodded.

"I just wanted to hear the full story. Take the most injured admins you have and bring them to the bed. Those who need healing potions can check the chest over there." She pointed to a chest across the room. All left, save those who I saw got injured. Lani started walking towards a closed off area. We followed her as she pushed the curtains away, revealing an area filled with beds and healing supplies for more severe injuries. I carefully set Xisuma onto a bed, making sure he doesn't get more injured. He was still awake, but eyes were glazed and unfocused. Lani came over, concerned.

"He has a concussion." She says. I nod, confirming.

"Can you fix it? Do your healing admin abilities?" Lani rolled her eyes as I bring my hand up and wiggle my fingers.

"Yes, I can. Void will wake up in... maybe about 10 minutes, give or take." She set a hand on his forehead. Xisuma didn't blink, let alone respond. Lani gently closed his eyes. After a moment, Xisuma's body visibly relaxed. His breathing evened out. She wiped the blood coming from his mouth with a new white cloth. Lani stepped back. Xisuma was the last one she had to heal.

"How are the others?" I said, looking at Lani. She frowned, but it quickly disappeared.

"They are fine, for the most part. They will heal in a few minutes. BadBoyHalo is the only one who won't be up and moving for a while. I saw that, and to be honest, it was a pretty good punch." I nodded, frowning in thought. I stood there for a few minutes, before someone's communicator went off. Everyone jumped, scared half to death. The beep was so loud that Skeppy yelped and dropped his communicator.

"What is it, Tier Caeruleus?" Libra asked. Skeppy picked his communicator up and read the message. He lost color fast, and froze for a moment. He looked at us with a horrified and frightened expression.

"They're in my server. It's getting destroyed. It's not going to end there, either."
