Chapter 17. Senses
POV: Evil Xisumavoid
Location: Evolution
I cautiously walk out the portal, observing the ruins of what used to be the Evolution server. All the other admins were spread out, looking for other people, and more importantly, the Watcher’s Lair. Hypixel came after me, looking at me with an unreadable expression.
What Hypixel said earlier was true. Twins do have a special connection, especially if we are in the same server.
In the back of my head, I felt an emotion similar to fear and confusion. I look around, seeing if anyone else noticed something.
“What is it, EX?” Hypixel asked.
“He’s… confused, but a bit frightened? I can’t tell, it’s foggy.” I reply, frowning in thought. The Hermits looked at me with distrust, eyes narrowed. I bit the bottom of my lip and look down. I held my left arm with my right hand.
“How can we really trust you?” Mumbo asked, grasping his diamond sword. “For all we know, you could be leading us into a trap.” The Hermits nodded in agreement. I sigh, staying as still as possible.
“Look, please trust me right now. I know I’ve done some questionable things in the past, but I-”
“How do we know you’ve changed?” Scar challenged. I flinch. Change is the only thing I’ve wanted since X and I were young. By the looks of it, I haven’t gotten it yet.
“Y’all gotta be nice to him. Ya don’t know if he’s changed or not since y’all haven’t seen him since he was banned. Maybe he’s learned a lesson.” Joe said, stepping towards me. I started to step back, but Hypixel prevented me from doing so. He put a hand on my back and nudged me forward.
“I trust ya, Void. Now, where do ya say our Xisuma and Grian are?” He said, speaking directly to me. The other Hermits protested, some louder, some quieter.
“I… I feel like Xisuma is over 10,000 blocks in the air. Up there.” I say, pointing towards the sky. I pointed to where I felt Xisuma’s presence. Libra nodded in approval.
“That is exactly where the Watcher’s Lair is. Come on, admins. Elytras on and rockets ready to fly.”

The Watcher's Lair was huge. It was a black and gray castle that hovered in the air. When clouds passed by, it looked like it was sitting on the fluffy white clouds. In the back of my head, I felt many emotions, such as confusion, determination, fear, hurt, and much more.
Many times I felt pain on my chest, side, and back. He was definitely fighting someone, as Xisuma is not a clumsy person.
When we landed on the outside of the castle, large, dark oak doors closed and secure. I was out of breath by the time we all met back up.
"Void, what's wrong?" AppleG asked. Everyone looked at me.
"It's X, he's fighting right now. His energy is draining fast, and he's getting injured. We need to hurry." I say, between breaths. Noobcrew pulled the doors open, blasting energy at the Watchers who stood guard inside.
"Not very subtle, but okay…" I heard Hypixel mutter. We followed him in, taking care of the Watchers who stood in the way. We twisted and turned through the halls. It seemed to go on forever. Sudden pains here and there were felt all over my body, but eventually went away. We soon got to a fork in the hall. Noobcrew turned to me, raising an eyebrow.
"That way." I point to the left hall. He nodded, going to the doors that lead to the main room. A strong sense of hate entered my mind, stronger than before. The dull pain that sat in my chest got stronger also. I grunted in pain, putting a hand to my chest. Some looked at me in concern, while others ignored me.
"Alright there, Void?" I hear. It was Tango, who's red eyes shone brightly in the dim halls.
"'M fine." I mutter. He nodded, but looked like he didn't believe me. Libra stopped us, looking around cautiously. It was in the area in front of the door, where Watchers once stood. They were all on the ground, unconscious from Hypixel's blast if magic.
"I sense a lot of Watcher magic outside of those doors. There are probably Watchers guarding it. Now, I'm going to tell you exactly what the plan is." She looked all of us straight in the eyes. I pressed a button on the side of my helmet, turning the red filter down, but the glass is still tinted red. If you looked from the outside, you'd be able to see my eyes through translucent red glass.
"I'm going to pull the doors open, then you guys will deal with the Watchers and whoever else is in that room." Straightforward plan, but nonetheless effective. We all nodded. We want closer to the door.
Libra held her hands out. The edges of the doors started glowing. She made a pushing motion, and the doors slammed into the wall it was hinged to. It alerted many Watchers far away from the door, but we ignored them for now.
The room that the doors lead into was a main room, much like an entrance hall (but in the middle of the castle). There were dry splatters of blood on the floors, indicating that it wasn't from a recent fight. In the middle of the room, two people were glaring at each other.
Xisuma looked at us, and I can clearly see that he was smirking, though he had his helmet on. He looked quite beaten up, but still standing and fighting.
We made eye contact, and he seemed a bit surprised. I know he was feeling a bit guilty, happy, surprised, and relieved to see the group and I.
He didn't know we were coming because he was either too occupied with the fight, I got better at concealing feelings, or a mix of both.
I was about to go to Xisuma when a voice stopped me.
"Well, looks like we've got more company." Grian sneered. However, instead of his normal cheerful and joy-filled voice, it was a cold, steel, and unforgiving type of voice.
I look analyze Grian, trying to find what was wrong with him.
Oh.
His eyes.
They were light purple.
Every player or admin was on edge. Some of their magic glowed lightly or dimly. Most had weapons out. The Hermits looked at Grian in horror.
He was also beaten up (like Xisuma), wings crushed and looking fractured. His black shirt was ripped and his hair was all messed up.
Grian, what have you done?
