Chapter 14. Coming for You

POV: Hypixel
Location: Admin HeadQuarters, Server Hub

We waited for the last two admins to come through the server. I had a sudden gut feeling that something is about to go wrong...

Xisuma's communicator flew out of the portal, and skidded to a halt by my foot. I bent down to pick it up. We faintly heard a blast of Watcher magic. Another blast of magic sounded with a faint cry for Grian to wait. A voice was heard, but it wasn't clear enough to understand it.

Libra entered the portal, then came back in a few moments.

"They're not there. The Head Watcher took them." Loud voices of protest rose through the Server Hub. I turned Xisuma's communicator on, overriding the locking command. On the opening screen, he had an audio clip ready to play. He had recorded the conversation. It had apparently turned off when it went through the portal. I clicked the play button, bringing the communicator to my ear.

"Wait, Grian-!" Xisuma's voice sounded. A blast of magic was heard. Someone fell to the floor. Another blast of magic was heard, and again, someone fell to the floor.

"Finally, that took forever." The Head Watcher said. More footsteps on the grass were heard.

"Bring them to the Lair. Put the magic dampening ropes on them. Hurry, they might wake soon."

The recording stopped there. I frown and exhale in annoyance. I hold the communicator out to Libra, who took it and looked at it in confusion. I tapped the play button, letting her listen to it. She brought it up to her ear. She stilled, focusing on the recording and not the other admins and Hermits loudly conversing. Her eyes narrowed as she handed the communicator back to me.

"That'll kill Xelqua, those magic dampening ropes." I say to her. She nodded.

"Fortunately, I do know exactly where the Watcher's Lair is. But we should heal before we go there. In the state we are in right now, we would lose."

"But-" She held her hand up.

"I know you want to save the Prime Admin, and that Xisuma is your friend, but that would be a suicide mission. I mean, look at the state of the group. We would never make it out, assuming there are more Watchers in the Lair than there were at Hermitcraft." She explains, gesturing to the group. I sigh in surrender, looking down. I knew she was right.

"Back to the Infirmary, I suppose?" Skeppy says, looking at everyone. Everyone started walking towards the large room

"Wait," Libra says. "Why don't we go to my private quarters? There's actually more space there than in the Infirmary, and we'll have more privacy." I frowned, and so did most of the high ranked admins.

"Skyward, you don't have to sacrifice your privacy for us-" AppleG asked.

"No, we need it. Most of the players' homes have been destroyed, and I don't want to make them panic more than they already are because the Watcher's basically took over two large servers." She paused, gathering her breath again. "I don't want to deflate their hopes because with a team of admins and some players, we barely survived. We can't let them see us like this."

"Are you sure?" ConnorLinFoot asked, eyebrows furrowing. Libra nodded, heading the other direction. We reluctantly followed her. I was unfamiliar with this area of HQ. She lead us up a few flights of stairs, down many halls, and through many doors and rooms. We finally stopped in front of two large doors, with two statues of griffins on each side. Parts of the statues were made of gold and silver.

Libra pushed the doors open with a large creaking sound, revealing a larger than normal sized room. It was almost like an entrance hallway to a castle. The floors were dark oak, and the walls were spruce wood. The windows were long and lengthy. Tan curtains that had gold embroidery were rolled halfway up, allowing sunlight to flow in. The furniture was nice dark leather, in almost perfect condition.

A golden chandelier hung in the center of the room, candles lit and glowing. There was a grand staircase which had golden rails. The stairs were lined with a red carpet, bordered in more gold. There was a second level, which wrapped all the way around the room. It lead to more doors, which were probably different rooms for different things. There was a balcony on the other side of the room, overlooking the entire world. It was easy to see, since HQ us on a mountain.

"Dang, this looks so much different than the Tier Argentum private quarters." I comment. Libra nodded.

"Xelqua and I share this part. My rooms are to the right, his are to the left." She said, gesturing to where the staircases led to.

"I knew we should have gone to the infirmary. We'll mess everything us because we're all bloody and injured and dirty." AppleG muttered.

"I can clean it up later." Skyward said, waving their concerns off. "I'm going to get some Medical Staff to help us. Sit down and don't worry about messing anything up." She went to one of the rooms on the lower floor. She took out her communicator and closed the door. We all looked at each other, shrugging and sitting down on the edge of the chairs.

None of us said anything. Most of us were staring at the ground. It was silent, and quite awkward for me.

Libra came back out of the room, sliding her communicator into the back pocket of her now ripped and bloody jeans. She walked towards us, face clearly showing she was exhausted.

"The Medical Staff is coming and will be here soon. I found extra beds, enough for all of us to lay down in." She set down many shulker boxes. I checked a couple of them, and they were filled with beds of all colors. I grab a simple black one, as I like the color black. It lets me blend into the background easier. Everyone grabbed their favorite color and walked to an empty area. I set the bed down in a corner (that I sprinted to so I could get the spot first). Yes, even though I'm a high ranked admin, and deal with people every day, I'm very anit-social and such an introvert.

"Goodness Hypixel, I knew you were anti-social, but not this anti-social." I hear a voice taunt. It was Connor. I roll my eyes at him, flopping onto the black sheets that lay on the bed.

"I thought you knew me, Connor. You're basically always stuck with me." I raise a single eyebrow at him. "Yeah, and I don't know how I'm still sane."

"To be fair, it was your decision to apply for staff on my server." He looked to the side and slouched. He put on a sombre expression and looked at me. For a second, I thought he was genuinely sad. But the amusement and laughter in his eyes betrayed his sad and emotional body language. I growl and hit his arm.

"What was I thinking?" He cried out, plopping his bed a couple blocks away from mine. He dove under the covers, pulling the blue covers over his head. I groaned and flopped back down onto the pillow. I turn to my left side, facing away from Connor and facing the wall. I just wanted to get some rest, dang it.

A pillow smacked my body with little force. I snap my head to look over my shoulder. Connor and Rezzus (the other owner of my server. He was a Tier Erythros, but was great with server managing) were standing there with mischievous grins on their faces. I groan and turn over, pulling the black blanket over my head. I curl into a ball under the sheets.

"I just wanna sleEP!" I whine, screeching at the end. I hear the doors open and many footsteps, indicating many people.

"Ha!" I yell in victory. "You can't attack me anymore, the medics are here." They both wrinkled their noses and slip into their beds, which were for some reason close to mine.

"Dude, go away..." I say, kicking the leg of Connor's bed away. The entire bed slid a few feet away with Connor on it. It was as if the floor was ice.

"Alright, now how does that work?" He asked, looking at the ground with a dead expression. I snicker as medics come our way. I saw many medics going to the other admins who were spread out in the room.

"Are you alright, Hypixel?" The medic asked. I look at who it was, and it was Theo, another Skyblock admin. Most of Skyblock's admins were medics, which makes their server very safe compared to my server.

"No, they're bullying me." I say, pointing an accusing finger at the duo. They roll their eyes and Theo shakes his head.

"Alright, let's see here." He said, moving his hands over me in unfamiliar motions.

"Ok, so you've got energy exhaustion, multiple cuts on your body, a few fractured ribs, and a twisted ankle."

"How... do I not feel the fractured ribs?"

"Your energy is using itself to keep you from feeling the fracture, and is also trying to heal the injury. Since you don't know anything about healing, it doesn't know what it's doing. At the moment, it's just preventing it from hurting and that's it." He explained. I shrugged, taking the potion he handed me.

"Now, take that potion. I'm going to make you sleep so you can heal without feeling it." He said. I drank the potion and laid back down, closing my eyes. He put a hand on my forehead, muttering something under his breath. Before I could question how long it would take, I was already out like a light.

-*~*-*~*-(A few hours later)-*~*-*~*-

Sunlight flooded into my vision as I opened my eyes. It was later in the day, the exact time unknown. I look to the side and see two empty beds. I frowned. There was a small table next to my bed. It had my gloves on it, a potion of healing, and my quiver-belt thing. I bring my arms in front of my vision. They were clean, no sign of blood or dirt on them. My clothing was the same: all clean, no hint of it being dirty. I run a hand through my silver hair and see that it's also been cleaned. Was it by magic or did someone actually-

I check my inventory, seeing that nothing has changed. All my weapons, healing things, ect. were still there.

I slip my gloves on and drink the potion, feeling slightly better. I clip the quiver-belt onto my body and put my hood over my head, hiding my hair. I stand up and walk over to where most of the other admins and Hermits were. As I approached them, I see that there are still a few people in the beds. I was one of the last ones.

"Welcome back to the land of the living, Hypixel." I hear someone say. It was AppleG, who's hair was messed up and clothing was wrinkled. I shake my head and sit on the couch.

"At least I look presentable." I retorted. Before he could reply, the last admins joined us.

"Ok, so since we are all prepared, we should get going." Libra said, strapping sharpened diamond sword to her back.

"We're going to use the server hub because that's the safest way. Going through communicators is unsafe, especially with how glitched Evo is." She paused, looking at everyone.

"The goal isn't to kill everyone. It is to get Xelqua and Xisumavoid out of there, and taking the Head Watcher out. Got it?" Everyone nodded. "Good. Follow me." She walked to one of the many doors on the lower level, opening it. When she walked through, she disappeared without a sound. We all followed her, appearing the the Server Hub.

"How-" An admin started.

"Command blocks." Libra answered. When we approached the Evo portal, we saw a figure dressed in red leaning on the obsidian. Docm77 growled, and the rest of the Hermits were instantly on edge.

"Doc, what is it?" Ren asked. Doc pointed to the mysterious figure.

"It's him. It's Evil X." Everyone looked towards him, and indeed it was the Void's twin brother. Apparently EX had heard them, and shrunk back a little. He then found his confidence and stood up straight. Libra approached him, suspicion evident in her body language.

"What do you want?" She asked. He gulped.

"I-I wanted to come with. I know I'm not that good of a brother, but X is still related to me by blood." He explained. He held his hands out, showing he had no weapon and wasn't planning to attack us.

"How do we know you don't work for the Watchers?" Scar sneered at the red-armored Void twin.

"I'm a Tier Erythros admin. I took that vow. I physically can't join them; it'd kill me."

"I'm sure you'd find a way to-"

"Let him come with us." I interrupt, stepping forward. "It would help to have another admin with us. Plus," I look at him. "You might be able to find Xisuma quickly. I've heard that twins have a rare connection." EX nodded, understanding where I was going with this.

"Fine." Libra said. She turned to the portal. "Let's go, now. We have no time to waste." She jumped in, all the admins following her lead. I was about to go, when EX grabbed my wrist. My hand made its way to the hilt of my sword as I turned to him.

"Thank you." He whispered. "Thank you for letting me come." Out of surprise, I only nod and watch him step into the portal. My hand slowly falls away from my sword. I sigh, shaking my head.

"Xelqua and Xisuma," I start, following EX as he disappeared. "We are coming for you."
