Prologue

Hypothesis: If a large group of cats are put in a contained environment they will be able to form a group and work together, similar to that of the popular books 'Warrior Cats'.

Variables:

Independent: Weather, age of cats, gender, amount of cats, breed of cats, biome, etc.

Dependent: Size of end group, health conditions.

Controlled: Environment, the dome, prey, trials conducted.

Day 1
Getting the cats in the dome and having them wake up was a total success. Yes, maybe a few dead cats at first, but most survived. Weather changing starts in two days, allowing the cats to get used to their environment and form bonds.

Day 2
It seems as if the cats have already formed a bond, splitting into two groups on different sides of the dome. Weather changing will commence tomorrow.

Day 3
The cats have been showing signs of dominance toward each other and seeming to create their own leader system with different ranks. Weather changing starts today. We will start with snow.

Day 13
I have started to notice some of the older cats protecting the young kits and the ones due for kits. This is starting to match up with our hypothesis very well. I think this experiment may turn out as a success.

Day 24
The older cats seem to be showing the smaller cats how to fight and hunt. This is very interesting as it is starting to seem like more of a mentoring system. Also, another one of my observations is cats from each group patrol their 'borders' or at least it seems to look like that, and fight when the other group crosses it.

Day 30
Today was a very odd day, some cats from both groups went to the center of the dome, with two cats standing the highest and the others sitting low and quiet. It seems as if it was some sort of meeting but I can't be sure.
