Nozomi grows weak due to the continuous use of the scrying map by using her blood. With the final destination to be traveled by ship, they travel through an alternate dimension where the trio encounters an army of undead pirates. Nozomi reveals that she has grown too weak to fight so Kaito creates a diversion and sacrifices himself, but in his dying moments urges Shingen to believe in his words about Shinjen's brother. Amidst the fierce battle, Shingen is injured and while clutching the scrying map so as not to lose it, it is activated by his blood revealing the coordinates of the island, which confirms him to be of royal bloodline but Nozomi, unconscious remains unaware about the revelation. After reaching the island they find Minamoto's men have already gathered for a ceremony to resurrect Mikaboshi and they engage in a brutal fight. Minamoto confesses he is completely unaware of the death of Shinjen's brother but Shingen is adamant about the refusal. Minamoto even shows the letter and tells that it wouldn't have been possible if not for the mysterious benefactor who gifted him the old smoking pipe for activating the Arasaki compass. Nozomi identifies the seal on the letter received by Minamoto to be of the royal palace and only one person has access to it – her father.
