Chapter 3: Now the Journey REALLY Starts

"Lord NightBlade! I need your help!"

My eyes fluttered open, squinting at the morning light. I grunted, hoping that I would be able to get a few more minutes (actually, I wanted a few more hours) of sleep. Night Sensei had been training me to the bone for the last few days, but at least I had learned some moves; Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Brick Break, Iron Tail and Aerial Ace. Also, he showed me that I could use Aerial Ace as a sort of Lock-On to make up for Iron Tail's low accuracy. Night Sensei was really a smart guy (and a good cook, much better than Mom), and I had grown just a liiitle bit of respect for him. Just a little.

I heard footsteps stomp through the hallway outside the room I had been staying in, and Night Sensei's voice sound from the main room. "What is it?" He asked, a bit hastily.

"I heard news!" The Gijinka who had asked for help said. "Darkrai, he's plotting revenge for his old lord Arceus's death! He's going berserk!" When I heard that outburst, I started scrambling to get out of the bindings my blankets made and went to the main room.

"-Keldeo is in no condition to go," Night said as I entered the room. With what he said, I remembered back to yesterday to when Keldeo had fallen ill with a high fever and a stomach ache while I was practicing some moves. My training had been shortened to only some spare minutes when Night wasn't taking care of Keldeo, the rest being self training.

"What's going on," I more demanded than questioned.

"Ah, Elkarez, I have an important job for you," Night responded, and I felt a little unease at how casual and not annoyed he sounded.

"Whaaaaat?"

"This Gijinka here will fill you in on the details. Darkrai is up to no good again, and Keldeo's ill so I can't leave him."

I groaned. "Ugh... fine." I turned to the Gijinka, a Sharpedo. "So, begin with the filling in."

"Right, Mister Elkarez." Mister. Geez, I'm only eighteen and he's, what twenty seven? "So, Darkrai has been ransacking villages and doing other evil stuff, but more importantly, he's planning something big, but I don't no what. Here," He dug through his satchel before pulling out a folded piece of paper; A map. "take this. I circled in blue where you are now, and in black where Darkrai's kingdom is. I marked a route where  it'll be best for you to go through, but when you look at it, you'll notice that a little before Darkrai's kingdom I have you take a little detour. I made it so that instead you'll walk through No-Pokémon's land instead of the ransacked villagers, where they're really hostile to outsiders, and bad thing's will happen. I gotta be getting back to Lord Kyogre, so good bye!" With that he bowed and left.

"Weirdo..."I mumbled and left out of the still slightly opened door.

"Elkarez!" I heard as I began descending the first step. The sudden yell surprised me enough to have made me fall down the other two steps.

"Delta?!" I said in surprise when I looked down and, low and behold, there she was, sitting by Night Sensei's steps. "What the Rayqu- What are you doing here?"

"Waiting," She simply replied.

"For how long?"

"Well, I waited all day yesterday and the day before, but only about an hour today." She stood up. "I heard you're going to defeat Darkrai. I'm coming with you!"

"Why? Just.... never mind, there's going to be no reasoning with you. Just come on."

"Yay!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What's your favorite color?"

"A not lame one."

"What's your favorite food?"

"Nothing my mom cooks."

"What would make you the happiest?"

"If you jumped in a lake and drowned."

I could basically feel Delta frown. "That's not nice..." She mumbled.

"Neither am I," I responded. This had been going on for three hours. Three hours. Do you know how obnoxious this is? I'm stuck with some idiot who's determined to play twenty questions, except it's more twenty-thousand-million questions, and criticizes me at every question. Rayquaza, why do you hate me so?

"You should try to be nice, Elkarez."

"I don't wanna."

"You should be nice Elkarez. People feel nice when-"

"Shut up!' I screamed, running forward with my hands clamped over my ears. I had finally snapped from her stupidity. Dashing forward with all my strength, not looking where I was going. I only stopped when some force pulled my hands from my head.

"Halt!" A Psychic Type in front of me shouted. The same kind of force that pulled my hands from my head lifted me off the ground, and Delta soon was pulled besides me. "You are trespassing on our Lady's land, thus we have all rights to take you as prisoners for our Lady Uxie. You fate shall be determined by her."

Uxie... Wasn't that the Lady Mom said had an immense hatred of her for killing Arceus? Well, I'm screwed.
