Chapter 2: Training and Stalkers. Fun....
I woke up just as the sun drifted in through the window. I didn't even realize I was about to leave until my feet hit the backpack I had packed last night. Stretching, I heard my back and elbows crack satisfactorily, and I stood, putting on my back pack. Walking over to my desk, I wrote and taped a note with only one word on it to my door: left. Nice way to wind them up with my stupid ominous-y.
As I walked down the stairs, I did it slowly to listen to the stairs squeak, as if every sound they made were musical notes in a lament of my leaving. I didn't have many bad memories, but I didn't have that many good ones, so leaving was on a fine line between sadness and happiness.
I put my shoes on at the door, and before I left, I took one last look over the house. To the left was the kitchen, and to the right was the family room, where my eyes landed on a single photo; my parents' wedding photo. Mom was in the traditional white shirt and green petal skirt, where Dad was instead in a green tux with yellow patterns on it, instead of the normal cream colored one. I remember being told 'The Legend of the Gardivoir and Arceus', the story that created the wedding tradition. It basically told of how Arceus was to marry, but instead of picking Celebi or Jirachi or the others, he chose a Gardivoir from a poor family instead, because she was beautiful inside. And they got married, blah, blah, blah, happily ever after, the end, death.
Turning, I opened the door and left.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So far, I have one word that describes my journey, and it is booooriiiiiing. Seriously, how did Mom do it? When I was younger and she would tell me of her journey as a bed time story, it sounded fun, and exciting, not 'Oh look, there's a tree. Oh look, there's another tree. OMR, gasp! It's another tree!' After seven hours, yes, seven hours I had finally walked passed the edge of Mew and Mewtwo's land and got some ways into Kyogre's land.
"Oh, um, excuse me." I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard someone talking behind me.
"Huh? What do you want?" I said, spewing my words out a little too quickly. Turning around, I saw a girl about my age, probably a year younger, who was had a black crash helmet on, flaming hair (probably a Cyndaquil), a green hoodie, multicolored shirt, purple pants and red shoes. Weirdo.
"Oh, I was just wondering if I could walk with you," She said, coincidentally as I started walking again.
"...Sure," I finally said. Like I said, weirdo.
"So, what's you're name, I'm Delta." She asked after moments of silence.
"Elkarez."
"Really? Cool name. I'm Delta."
"Thanks."
"So, where are you going?"
"Training."
"Oh, really? That seems cool. I've always wanted to have a real trainer, I just had my dad..." I began tuning out her words. I didn't care about her training, or her past, or her dad, I just needed to get to stupid training, finish my training, and go home. For the next two hours, she babbled on about random stuff that I didn't care about, it only quickened the rate of my eye twitching.
Off in the distance, I saw a town off in the distance, and decided it was time to ditch this stalker.
"Le gasp! Oh my Rayquaza, what is that?" I yelled, pointing behind me.
"Wait, what?" Delta stopped mid-babble and turned, searching the horizon. Taking the chance, I dashed as fast as I could in the direction I was originally heading.
"Elkarez, wait! Wait for me!"
"Never, creeper!" I pushed myself harder to run faster, dashing into the village. Flying by houses, I arrived at the one Mom had described to me; Night's house. Chancing a look behind me, I didn't see Delta, so I felt free to run into my new Sensei's house. Gasping, I slammed the door shut behind me.
"Hello... person who's supposed to...be my annoying sensei..." I gasped to the Gijinka in the room who exactly fit Mom's description of him.
"Yes, who is it?" He said before turning around. Upon his eyes laying on me, an extremely irritated look crossed over his face. "Ugh... Ari, why'd you do this to me?" He shook his head. "Well, anyways, welcome Elkarez, I suppose your mother wanted you to finally stop being lazy and learn something useful?" He spoke in a deadpan and yet snark-y tone, a smirk plastered to his face.
I sighed, irritated. "One, I hate you already, congratz, old dude. Two, moves are useless, I could take down feral Wingulls with one arrow, that takes skill. Three, I shot down Wingulls, how is that lazy?"
"Listen here, you ungrateful little twat," he seethed, "the only reason I allow you to live and breath instead of being a lifeless corpse on the floor is because your mother may or may not kill me if any harm comes to you. And you hate me? Okay, well that's fine because I can't stand you, and an arrow won't harm Darkrai when he will just phaze out of the way, and lastly, that is still lazy because, as far as I'm concerned, where I come from anyone can pick up a bow and shoot down a birdbrained feral Wingull." With every few words, a shadowy aura began transforming him, so that he looked like he was struggling not to become transformed into some sick and twisted monster. Man, I am good at being an annoyance.
"Like I care." I smirk. "Heh heh, and you can't touch a hair on my head 'cause I'm Mommy's 'lil hated boy. And it seems neither of us want me to be here, so I'll just leave." I turn around to open the door, though stop as the realization hits. "Crap, that weirdo's probably still out there."
Night's look of annoyance turns to one of confusion. "Weirdo?" He asked.
I hit my head against the door frame at the thought of Delta. "Some stalker Cyndaquil lady named Delta has stalked me from a little past Mew and Mewtwo's land to a little before here..." I shudder when I noticed that I would have to deal with her blabbing on the way back, then with Mom's annoyance rant at me.
"Aw, does someone have an admirer?" He smirked.
"I have a stalker, that is not fun," I corrected him. "Fine, you go out there and see how annoying it is. Tell little Miss My-Hair's-On-Fire to leave me be, while you're at it."
"I'm sure she isn't that bad." He opened the door, then after a few seconds of scanning the area for that little horror, "No one's there."
"Yes, the creeper's gone!" I fist-pumped before hearing hooves clomp on the flooring behind me.
"Ugh, what is all this racket, Dear?" I turn around to see the one and only Keldeo standing behind me.
"Hi." I said the first thing that came to mind.
"Oh, for the love of Kyogre, what in Mew's name did we do to deserve....'this.'" What lovely rumors my mother must be spreading about me.
"I feel loved."
"Well, maybe if you showed some respect for someone other than yourself, maybe we'd grow to like you." If Keldeo was in his Gijinka for, his hands would have practically been glued to his hips.
"Nah."
"Fine then," he began, working to keep his annoyance from his voice. "Night, dear, shall we give him a taste of what we can do?" Night nodded, and pulled a blue and black sphere from a pouch that hung from the belt loops of his pants. It began glowing, as did Night and Keldeo's bodies, and they merged together, creating a humanoid being wearing aqua-armor.
"I am Aquios, legendary warrior of water!" The being said, in a voice that sounded like a combination of Night and Keldeo's, though in a deeper, more imperial tone. "Night and Keldeo have the power to summon me; this fight won't be easy!"
My eyes widen. "Well duh! I don't even know any moves!"
"Well, you were cocky Mister Too-Good-For-Everyone a minute ago." I swear, his voice sounded more like Keldeo that time.
"I know my limits."
"And I'm here to push you past them." He closed his eyes, and within seconds the floor of the chamber was covered in steadily rising water.
"Oh my Rayquaza! What, are you trying to drown me now?"
"Drown you?" He chuckled a little too darkly for comfort. "No, no, I'm merely testing you. If you drown, it is caused by your own choice not to learn the skills needed to survive; I provided an obstacle, now you have to over come it."
I face palm. "Right, like I'm going to be able to grow gills to breathe..."
"Oi... Figure a way out or to block the water flow, you twit! If you cannot survive a simple flood trap, then you won't stand a chance." The water was rising a tad bit faster now, and had risen to almost the top of my boots. Moving my arm, I hit a cold metal object protruding from the wall. Grabbing hold of it, I twisted it and pushed out ward, opening the door and letting the water flow out.
"Fine," I said, responding only a little late to him.
He gives me the most deadpan, unimpressed expression as the water flows out the door and I can feel air in my boot, which are annoyingly soggy.
"Really?... All that.... and you opted for the easiest was out? Oh my Mew... and Ari wants me to waste my time with attempting to get you to learn something?"
"Well....If I was in a gigantic maze with multiple traps and stuff, it would be best to do the easy, least energy using way so I have more energy and stuff to finish the maze. Duh." Logic shall prevail.
Aquios started to glow, and he divided himself into an Anthro Night and a Feral Keldeo, who was standing a bit farther away. Night stood wielding two deadly-looking water-and-darkness swords, and I get a bad feeling about it.
"Think fast," He simply said as the room turned to pitch black darkness and I felt slash marks form on my arms. Eyes wide, I unsheathed my digging claws and scampered up the wall. I puncture his walls a few times, he's trying to kill me. I think we're even.
"Ya trying to kill me?" I yell at the blackness that equals that of an abyss.
"You need to learn to fight and survive. I don't intend to baby you, it's learn or die here." How pleasant.
My soggy boots slip as I try to push myself upward from the encasing darkness. "Then shouldn't you teach me how to fight first?"
"Well, you obviously don't respond to talking, so I'd figure I'd knock some learning into you." I really hate this guy.
"It would help if you taught me some moves first. Rayquaza."
"Well, maybe I could, if you'd stop being an ignorant little Tauros rear."
"Maybe you should, like a legit Sensei would."
"And maybe you should start showing some respect, but we both know that that ain't gonna happen anytime soon." As the darkness dispersed, he reverted to his Feral form and began walking towards a hallway leading further into his home. "I guess I finally have met someone unable to learn. Nay, you're able to, you just refuse to."
"What, do you want me to do this?" I dropped to my knees, clasped my hands in front of me and began speaking in a high-pitched, girly voice. "Oh, Sensei, please teach me to fight! Please!" I began to fake cry, all of my movements as girly as possible.
One of Night's eyes twitches while the other one widens as far as possible. Elkarez used Fake Tears, Night is disturbed!
"What in Kyogre's name? ...Fine, but you better cap the attitude. I won't tolerate one step out of line again, and you can explain to your mother that I couldn't teach you."
"Fine, I'll just-" I mouthed the words 'shut up' as to prove my point that I can shut up.
"Okay, that rage you feel... focus it to your finger tips. Focus all that anger and rage to activate a Dragon Claw and hit me." As told, I began thinking about stuff that riled me up. This guy being so stupid, Mom being a jerk, Ariana being a butt, people being annoying... I focused that annoyance to flow down to my fingertips. I could feel static-like energy dancing around my finger tips, and for a second I felt proud, but realized I needed to focus on my anger to keep this going, or else Night would josh me. This thought added to my rage, and I was able to keep the sparks dancing.
"Good. Now hit me with your best shot."
Opening my eyes at the sound of Night's voice, I raised my hands and urged the purple static to leap from my hands in a concentrated beam at Night. Luckily, the sparks cooperated and flew off my hands, hitting Night on the shoulder blade.
He giggled a bit. "Heehee.. That tickled." I face palmed. If he was going to be like this, train was going to be so much more difficult.
