Entry 1: Longtail's Death

Hi. I'm Longtail. Silverstar asked to write this as an example to show you guys what a chapter would look like' so... (WHY AM I THE EXAMPLE?!?!?!)

Q: Longtail, what was your death like?

A: My death was pretty bad. I remember the fire burning, smoke filling my nostrils. Cats were yowling and running out of camp for their lives. Firestar had ordered us to evacuate, but Mousefur left a piece of fresh kill behind, wanting to retrieve it. When I told her it wasn't worth it, she refused to budge. She wasn't like this when she was younger, she was so cranky when she was an elder! But I still loved her. I stood in her way, telling her that I would fetch it.

I ran into the forest to fetch a piece of prey, but Briarpaw had ran after me, yowling that it was not safe. I ignored her because Mousefur would totally chew me out, also thinking I could make it out. I was too prideful, and I regret it.

I had entered the Elder's den, looking for the prey. I could not seem to smell it, partially because I was blind, and partially could only smell smoke. I remember hearing the crack of a tree, then hitting me with such force that I collapsed on my stomach.

But the thing was, I felt no pain. I felt completely at peace.

Thats when the world around me began to change, and I soon found myself in Starclan. I met with Bluestar and greeted all my past clanmates, but rushed to see how the clan was doing. As I stared down back on earth, I saw the lifeless body of Briarpaw being dragged out. After a few days later, Jayfeather had confirmed she had broken her spine in half, and could not carry on with her apprentice duties.

I felt so guilty. I should have listened to her. She could have been a full warrior today. She soon got her warrior name, Briarlight. I made sure I chanted her name in Starclan when she received it.

My clanmates were mourning for me, but Mousefur was extremely devastated. She kept blaming herself for my death, and would not look at Briarlight. Purdy, being a loyal friend, comforted her and sat with her at my vigil.

I regret my choice of not listening to Briarlight, but it was not hers or Mousefur's fault. It was my fault and choice.

Now I sit in Starclan, watching over Thunderclan to make sure no one will ever make the same mistake I did.

Big thanks to Longtail for agreeing to do the first chapter. Do you guys like this and want me to continue? Tell me in the comments below! (And make sure you ask a question, but only one per chapter 🙃🙂 )
