|71|: Shiz, Dunk And Wreck

It was the day of the annual party and Chase wasn't exactly prepared. She heaved her body out of bed and made her way to the bathroom as she fixed herself up.

She changed into a light blue loose top, black skinny jeans and added a leather jacket. She paired her outfit with some black VANS and left her hair in its usual state.

Dianna glanced at herself in the mirror before making her way outside, she didn't wear her mask or hood today seeing today's as the annual party and not many mysteries or attacks which was pretty usual.

Chase casually strolled down the streets with her hands stuffed into her leather jacket as she caught sight of mortals laughing happily and talking away with their friends.

Chase glanced in the direction of shops, she had noticed shop keepers and customers maintain a good relationship as she passed by truck drivers.

She made her way to the right destination and she knew she had come to the right place.

Knocking on the door three times with a slight kick from the heel, Chase waited, the slot opened to reveal familiar brown eyes looking at her.

"Open the door, Memphis."

The door opened to reveal a smiling Memphis. "I'm sorry, I just enjoy doing that to you." Chase shook her head at her friend's rebellious ways.

"Have you got a dress then?" Memphis asked clearly excited over this annual party.

"Yep." Chase responded plopping herself on the couch.

"Great! We're going together and going to have a blast!" Memphis squealed as Chase shook her head.

"You scream like a teenage girl." Chase shook her head.

"Dianna! I am very excited, for this and you should be too. It's the only day in a year where villains and superheroes can be civil with each other. Besides, aren't you at least a little happy to see your family?"

The sound of that caused Chase to look up at Memphis as she looked away.

"I am." She nodded in response.

She rarely saw her family, she hadn't seen her little twin siblings or her own twin. She knew that whenever she did see them, it wasn't always the warmest meetings. Her presence with her family wasn't always the best.

It was as if she was a stranger to them, but Chase had to grow upon that. She couldn't keep trying, no matter how hard she did. She sighed as she stood up.

"So, why exactly am I here?" She arched a brow as the doorbell rang, Memphis smiled discreetly as she rushed to the door, there stood the delivery dude, with a big package in his hand.

Memphis signed it off, as she entered with the parcel in hand. There, Memphis opened the huge parcel, to which caused Chase's brows to lift up in surprise.

There were weapons out in front of her, villain weaponry to be precise. There were lasers, a pair of glasses, a hat, skateboards, which may not seem like weapons, but they did intrigue Chase.

"Why do you have these?" Dianna asked casually.

"We're going to do some last minute preparation." Memphis smirked as Chase stared at her friend confused.

"You have got to be kidding me."

They were currently dressed like geeks. Dianna had her hair tucked into a bun, a maroon thin sweater with a white collar, black skinny jeans. Big, black thick rimmed glasses framed her eyes as she exhaled.

A skateboard was in hand as Memphis had something similar on, except she had a hat over her thick hair than a pair of glasses.

"These are our disguises. Your glasses are a camera and my hat contains one as well. The top you're wearing has a built in microphone like my green jacket." Memphis explained briefly.

"Now, we're going to the villain's lair dressed up as reporters to get their intel, hopefully we can find some intel directing us to Destroy. After the information you gathered from Xavier and Hunter whilst on your trip, I had this scheduled in case we needed more evidence." Memphis explained as Chase fixed her glasses.

"Okay." Dianna nodded her head.

"Great, let's go."

So the two made their way towards the underground club where the darkest villains dwelled, this club was for more elite members and seeing that Memphis scored two passes meant a victory.

Chase fixed her glasses as Memphis and her entered the premises, seeing the green walls hit them, there was a crowd of dancers and people guffawing at something interpreted as funny.

"This place is a dump." Chase muttered to herself, as she scanned the area.

The were red solo cups on the ground, the walls had been stained with a few markings, presuming as lipstick marks, pen marks and of course drinks.

They had moved more into the club to find it out to be more cleaner than the entering place, it's probably a place to distract the people that tried to enter this place, assuming it as ugly and dirty. No understatement, there.

Chase moved further with Memphis with a bag on her side as they were being guided by a bodyguard to three top villains.

Shiz, Dunk and Wreck.

She had read about them before and had heard stories of their infamous criminalistic ways. It was actually funny meeting them in person as they looked all high and scared by society, but up close looked like a couple of loners who had nothing better to do than to drink booze.

The bodyguard informed the three villains in their eyes of who Chase and Memphis were, two reporters wanting to know more about villain culture and their ways around the city of Empire State City.

"Ah, you are the two. How can I help you?" Wreck smirked as Chase pulled out a book and a pen.

"I'm Angelina and this is Daniella. We're from The Grimes here in Empire State City. Could you answer some of our questions?" Memphis asked confidently as the three chuckled in response nodding their heads.

"Of course, getting our names out there, means a lot of good for the villains." Chase started jotting some of this down.

"First question. What encouraged you to become the worst villains possible?" Memphis asked as Chase looked at the three focussing the camera on to them.

"Well, every villain has their stories. Surely backstories should be sour and all, but our backstories aren't specifically your sorrow filled ones. We were born with villain blood and knew we had to avenge for the befallen villains. That's why we promised to become the worst villains possible." Dunk admitted gulping some heavy booze.

Chase noted some of that down to seem like a realistic interview.

"Interesting. Do you have rivals in this villain business? Besides superheroes of course." Memphis maintained as Shiz answered.

"Sure we do. People like Underdog and Demolition, we've all had our fair shares." He chuckled. "Villains express their hatred for one another in different ways."

"Understandable. Villains don't stick to the same tactic." Memphis nodded. "Make sure to include that in." She placed her finger on the paper as Chase wrote it down.

"Don't you have any questions, little lady?" Dunk asked facing his head towards Chase who looked up.

"Who is Destroy?"

Was all Chase said, earning an exchange of glances from the three men. She picked up on their sudden attitude change so she mirrored them, dropping a little smile.

"Destroy is being talked about a lot nowadays, so I was inquiring is he another big villain or starting his way from the bottom." The men looked relieved, which caught onto both Memphis and Chase. They knew Shiz, Dunk and Wreck were covering something up. It could be crucial to finding out who exactly Destroy is.

"Oh, well he's a villain." Dunk started off.

"He, uh, well we don't know much about him like any other villain. He's just a simple rascal making villain's look great." Wreck chuckled forcefully, chugging on some of his drink.

Memphis and Chase glanced at each other, knowing it was time to cut the act.

Memphis and Chase both leaned forward, catching the three men's attention. Her eyes changed to a different colour which the boys realised, she was a villain too.

"Remain silent and give us all the information you have on Destroy. If you don't oblige, I will personally skin you alive." She threatened lowly as the men looked slightly intrigued, before smirking.

"Another villain in the house. Much of a surprise. I think it's cute that you give us empty threats, but give it to someone who would make it worth their time." Dunk spoke getting up before Memphis motioned to Chase.

She discreetly pushed a gust of wind from her palm alerting the three men, as they noticed this.

"Sit down and continue this interview." Memphis continued as the boys did so reluctantly with a roll of the eye.

"Who is Destroy? Tell me." Chase demanded under her quiet tone.

"He's a dangerous villain. No one really knows who he is. He's just a manic. He makes villains look awful and gets us in trouble." Shiz answered lowly for the two to hear.

"He's someone not to be messed with, he's got power of a Dominace." Chase's brows furrowed slightly, Dominace were very powerful and harnessed a lot of power.

"That level of power could destroy a city and possibly more." Chase added as the men turned their eyes to her nodding their heads.

"Destroy isn't someone to be manhandled with. He's got tricks up his sleeves, always is ahead of time and pretty much worse."

"That's funny, since the other day, he tried to act upon a mortal, almost killing her. He almost killed the special ones." The men raised their eyebrows in shock.

"What?" Shiz asked baffled.

"That rascal is getting worse than I thought." Wreck muttered underneath his breath, catching everyone's attention.

"Two years ago, Destroy used to work with us in The Gorge, he was terrible at his job, he was bullied and kicked to the curb. He basically didn't have any respect or had any dignity." Chase listened in to those words, like A. B Hopkin's story. Acid had been treated exactly the same way.

"Did he somehow have anything thrown his way?" Chase asked as Wreck scoffed a laugh.

"He had lots of things thrown his way. Literally, he had been injured most of his time. I left the place a week later and discovered that Destroy was getting it bad. So, apparently he left as well."

"Did he overrule the other villains working there?" Memphis asked as Wreck shook his head.

"He didn't have enough power to do that." He paused. "He was stupid and completely a fool to even know to take control, but he had vented up a lot of anger in his system." Chase continued to think on.

So, Destroy and Acid has similar lives, but what exactly is Destroy planning to do.

"He made an invention. Some sort of gadget, but it didn't work, the boss scraped his plans." He paused thinking back. "I don't know what it was, but it looked like some ray." A ray? What was he going to do with a ray?

"I heard he's going to appear at the annual party today. Word is he is planning something. That's why most villains are doubling up on security. This guy is rotten and doesn't deserve to be called a villain."

"Then what does he deserve to be called?"

"A demon."
