Irzak walked nervously toward his and Lizzie's regular meeting place and when he got there he stood there waiting for her to arrive.

He had spent a great number of hours in the morning trying to figure out what to say to Lizzie. He could of course tell her it was him that ordered the sorry incident to happen. 

He knew his brother was difficult  but he didn't want to lose him after all family is family. The alternative would be condemning his brother to his death and he couldn't let that happen.

He wanted to tell Lizzie the truth mainly because he genuinely liked her and mainly because of the Agreement. He did not want a war because he knew what war causes.. Anger and death..

He couldn't have that on his conscience. 

But at the same time he wanted to be honest with Lizzie but he couldn't possibly know how she would react. He sighs to himself. "Could I take the risk or could she and the others go on a witch hunt against my brother?."

It all comes down to one thing.. Could he trust her?.

After a bit of debating and torturing himself he decided he would tell her the truth.

Lizzie had finally arrived. Irzak saw her flying so beautifully and landed with a thump.

She nodded at him. "Irzak.. I seriously hope you've made progress in your Investigation who did this?"

Irzak sighs. "Lizzie listen, I have to be honest with you."

She sighs. "Why have I got a feeling I'm not gonna like this... Okay I'm listening."

Irzak looks away from her and sighed heavily. "I like you.. I mean really like you and that's why I'm telling you this.."

Lizzie blinked confused. "What did he mean?."

He looked at her square in the eye. "The person who did it was my brother and I don't want him hurt.. I could've lied but I didn't."

Lizzie looked at him with silence not knowing what to say.

He smiles at her and brushes her hair out of her eyes. "I don't want to fight over this or have a war.. I am protecting my brother and I promise it won't happen again.. but Lizzie the thing is I've fallen for you."

Lizzie looks away. "What am I supposed to do?.. What am I supposed to tell the other Angels?."

He frowns. "About us you mean?."

She shook her head. "No about your brother.. They want answers you know.."

He nodded. "I know.. I don't expect you to lie to them but this is just one incident.. I'll talk to him, It won't happen again I swear."

She walks away from him giving a slight bit of distance between them.

He walked toward her. "Lizzie you believe me don't you?.. We've worked together for a long time and I hope to continue that."

She looked at him. "I..don't know what to believe.>"

He sighed. "Lizzie look at me."

She did as he asked. 

"I'm in love with you.."

Lizzie bites her lip. "Izrak you now that would never work.. What would him up there think? or the devil?."

He shook his head. "Screw them and what they think.."

She frowns. "You said you didn't want a war.. When the Angels and the other demons find out about this.. They will be one trust me.."

He shakes his head holding her face in his hands. "And we will deal with that bridge when we come to it.. The question is what do you feel?."

She looked at him sadly. Here was a guy who genuiely liked her and usually she was a strong mean person but this guy had destroyed all that.

He had got through the wall around her heart and that wall had buckled.

She desperately wanted to say the same but she decided to go with her head rather than her heart.. At least for now.

He stands there waiting for an answer. "You can't deny there's always been a spark between us.."

She snorts. "Oh come on.. We've hated each other since day one."

He shakes his head with a smirk. "Well.. I certinaly haven't.."

She rolls her eyes. "You're a guy with a huge ego.. You're worse than the humans with raging hormones."

He sighs. "So what?.. I'm supposed to forget this conversation ever happened?."

She nodded. "For now.. As for you're Brother I'll do what I can."

He grabs her hand.

"I can't deny I'm in love with you.."

She battles with his grip and then she's finally free.. 

"Izrak you have too..It's the only way we can protect The Angels and Demons including your brother."

She turned and flew away.

As he watched her flying magnificently. He realized what she actually said made sense but it does'nt mean he had to like it.
