Chapter 12

Lizzie was nervous about her date with the Demon Izrak. She shook her head. "It's time I stop referring to him as a Demon every time I think about him otherwise this relationship won't survive.

She sits on the bed staring at her wardrobe. "Am I doing the right thing?..I mean What kind of relationship would it be, An Angel and a Demon?."

She liked him..She knew that much but she was scared how the other Angels and Demons would react.

It was bad enough that Lizzie's sister believed that it was Izrak's fault for the death of those poor humans but in reality it was not him but his own brother.

She knew that she couldn't betray a confidence.. She promised that she would'nt say anything but she had a strange feeling about it all.

What was that?.. Was it butterflies about dating Izrak or did she have a strange feeling that a war was gonna occur here?.

She decided to talk to her sister later. At the same time she's hoping her sister hasn't spread the rumours that it was Izrak's fault.

She did'nt wnat to lose any more Angels and despite her feelings for Izrak it would be wrong for him to lose any of his Demons either.

But most importantly It would be wrong for him to carry the can. She sighed. "I have to tell him.."

She didn't want any secrets to their relationship whether or not this new found relationship would work.. It was still absolutely vital to the agreement that both sides would get on.

The Agreement didn't matter to her much.. Not really. All she cared about was that everyone would just get on and in peace and no War or death.

She had been through too much to go through all that again.

When she originally came to Earth she tried the strong persona so that she would'nt go through all that again.

But somehow Izrak broke through that strong persona.. That wall that she had built and now she didn't fully know who she was anymore.

She got up and picked a dress from the wardrobe.

It was a lovely red dress. She decided she would wear her Blonde hair down.

A few hours later she arrives at the bar. She takes a deep breath and brushes her hair out of her eyes.

She arrives at the bar and notices Irzak is already there.

He was sitting at the bar on a bar stool and as he looks up he smirks at her. "Wow you look gorgeous."

She smiles nervously. "Thanks..I've never been on a date before."

He grins. "That's funny..Neither have I..I just wanna put my wings all around you right now."

She laughs nervously. "Well since we are in bar and all.. I think you should save that for later."

He bites his lip. "Ooh is that a promise?."

She rolls her eyes at him. "Actually It's a we will see rather than a promise."

He nodded. "Right... Of course it is."

She pushes him playfully. "You don't believe me?.. I'm serious."

He holds his hands up in the air in surrender. "Okay.. I believe you! Now what do you wanna drink?."

She crosses her arms. "Excuse me mister.. Are you planning on getting me drunk?."

He smirks mischievously. "I'm planning on doing more than that."

She laughs out loud. "In that case I'll have a vodka and coke then."

He smiles. "You know.. That's the first time I've actually heard you laugh." He quickly turns to the bartender and orders their drinks.

She frowns as he passes her drink to her. "Really?..Guess I really have been that uptight lately."

He grabs her arm and takes her to a private booth which was situated at the back of the bar.

They sit down together side by side.

He leans in toward her. "I don't think it's your fault though.. I know What you've been through.. I know what happened."

She sighs. "Who told you?."

He shrugs. "The Devil actually.. He knew that I'd be working with you and uh.. Well let's just say he did a serious amount of researching on you."

Her face became red. "Oh yeah?.. And uh..Did you like What you heard.."

He smiles at her. "I'm still deciding on that one."

He leans in and kisses her passionately.

She breaks away from the kiss. "What the heck was that?."

He laughs. "That was the next stage of our relationship I hope..."

She looks up at him placing her hand on his cheek. "You're serious then?..About us?."

He nodded. "Of course I'm serious! I wouldn't be saying if I wasn't."

She removes her hand and shuffles about nervously.

He frowns. "Something's wrong isn't it?...What is it?..What's wrong?..You can tell me you know."

Lizzie looked down staring at the floor ashamed. "I had a talk with my sister the other night and she came to the conclusion that it was you that caused the incident with the humans the other day."

He looks at her sadly. "And you didn't correct her?."

She sighs. "Honestly?..I didn't get a chance to."

He moves away from her slightly and looks at her from a small distance with the space between them. "So you would've told her about my brother then?."

She looks away. "Ive fought with myself over this.. If she asked I couldn't lie..If she hadn't had walked out.."

He looks at her. "Maybe this isn't a good idea after all.."

He drinks up his drink of beer greedily.

She places her hand on his but he moves it away. "But the truth was I didn't want to tell her the truth..I prayed to god that she wouldn't ask but at the same time I don't want you to carry the can for something you didn't do."

She added sadly, "Because I care about you..I genuinely do like you..I'm just worried all this is gonna start a war."

He sits there in silence listening to her. He looks at her a moment. "Are you gonna tell your sister the truth?."

She shook her head. "Not if you don't want me to."

She bites her lip. "If it was anyone else..Maybe I would but you opened up feelings I never knew I even had."

He looks at her blinking. "So you'd betray your family?."

She gets up and turns her back to him for a moment taking a deep breath. "Let me ask you something."

He looks up at her nodding. "Okay..I'm listening."

She closes her eyes. "If you loved someone..I mean really loved someone and that person was protecting someone in their family would you tell everyone the truth or would you stick by them?"

He stands up so that he was level with her. "When you put it like that then..I would honestly do the same thing you're doing now"

She looks at him deep into his eyes. "I know you're protecting you're brother and all..That's admirable and I understand that.. I'm just worried that people are gonna get hurt."

He kisses her deeply. "Let me worry about that."

He winks at her. "What do you say we get out of here and go somewhere where we can watch the sunset together?."

She smiles at him. "I'd like that."

Several hours later..

Lizzie and Izrak was sitting on a high green hill together watching the sunset.

He looks at her smiling. "I meant.. what I said earlier."

She giggles. "Remind What it was you said again?.."

He pushes her on the floor and pins her down whilst he climbs on top if her.

"Quit fooling..You know exactly what I said.."

He looks at her examining her beauty clearly. "But just to clarify.. Let them have that war if they want to.. Let them think its me.. I don't care.. All I care about is you."

She smiles at him in reply. "Wow..You really are serious aren't you?..I don't want anyone to get hurt."

He lifts up one of his hands off hers and places that hand on her cheek and strokes her cheek. "Then We will figure this out together."

They kiss passionately and spend the rest of the night together before retiring to Lizzie's room.

As both of them close their eyes in the same bed together Lizzie smiles thinking. "This was the best night ever.. I just hope it lasts."
