A/N This episode gave me incredible feels because of all the Garroth Easter Eggs in it... My chest hurt from all the heart breaking. Also, this is just a small part of the episode, which takes place at the very beginning.

Melanie's POV

I lay in bed, thinking of all the things that had happened over the past journey.

I allowed darkness into my body.

I betrayed two close friends.

I lost Laurence, and used darkness to get him back.

I regretted the darkness.

You'll never regret the darkness.

I can regret it if I want to.

Ha. As soon as you let the darkness leave, Laurence will no longer love you.

That's the only reason I keep it around.

...

You haven't been around in a while.

I'll admit, I'm getting weaker.

Good.

"Can't sleep?" 

I looked around, my eyes locking with Laurence's blue ones. He stood by my bedside, his head tilted slightly to the left.

"... No." I admitted.

Then, I noticed Kiera. She stood at the back of the room, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"What? Thought you wanted me back." She said, smiling.

"No. I never said that." I said.

"Melanie, who are you talking to?" Laurence asked.

"Whoops!" Kiera said, smirking. I glared at her.

"Melanie, what are you looking at?!" Laurence said, waving his hand in front of me. Kiera then disappeared.

I'm gonna tell him.

Really?

Yes.

"Laurence, I have to tell you something." I said, sitting up. Laurence sat next to me.

"You can tell me anything, Melanie." He assured me. I gulped, nodding.

"... I've been seeing someone in my mind. Don't think I'm crazy, but she says she's the dark side of me." I explained. Laurence seemed to freeze.

"What does she look like?" He asked. I swallowed.

"W-Well, she looks like me, but her hair is straight and up in a long ponytail, and it's all black. She has one streak of blonde hair, and she wears what I wear, but her dress is red, and her cape is black." I said. Laurence grabbed my hands.

"Melanie, whatever you do, don't listen to what she says. Don't go to the dark side. (STAR WARS!!!) Don't. Give. In." He warned. I wiped my eyes.

"It's too late Laurence... The darkness is the only reason your holding my hands right now. You wouldn't give me another chance. The darkness is also why Sam and Ales aren't here either." I explained. Laurence frowned.

"But I don't want the darkness. I want it out. I don't want that voice in my head anymore." I said, tears brimming my eyes. Laurence swiped them away.

"What exactly did she do?" He asked.

"Gave me manipulating magicks. I told you you were madly in love with me instead of angry at me. I told Ales and Sam that they were hiding out in the forest, away from O'Khasis." I said. 

"Melanie, first of all, know that I will always love you. Second of all, why did you get rid of Ales and Sam?" He asked

"That's another thing. The darkness wants me to kill Zane. Sam would've stood in the way. I don't want to kill my brother, even if it is Zane! I just want my normal life again. I know I can use love instead of darkness. I just need help." I said.

Laurence wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into an embrace. I hugged him back, and for a second, everything seemed perfect.

"Listen to me. I will do everything I can to help you. But I know the one person who will be able to fully help you... Is stuck in Lady Irene's Dimension." He said, staring me in the eye.

I broke down. I started crying. Being reminded that Garroth was stuck in that horrid place with Zane hit me somewhere. It hurt to know that I couldn't open the damned portal and rescue him.

"He's never coming back, is he?" I asked.

"Hey. Don't think like that. We will get him out, and you will be riddled of whatever voice is in your head. I promise you that." Laurence said. "Now, you need to sleep." 

"But I can't. I might get a nightmare." I whispered, remembering the horrid visions as I lay down. Laurence lay down next to me, pulling his arm around my waist and pulling me close to him.

"Then I will be here to chase them away." He whispered, kissing my temple.

A/N I was t sure how to incorporate Melanie in the chapter, but I did get MANY GARROTH FEELS, so I decided to include that in this little fluffy chapter. ^-^ Also, I GOT AN AMAZING GARMAU KEYBOARD ON MY PHONE! It makes me cry whenever I see it, though. Also, Helen seemed to miss Laurnie, so LAURNIE GALORE!
