Episode 46
A/N OH COME ON! I THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING GARROTH BACK AS SOON AS I SAW THE HUGE CHURCH!!!!!
Maybe in Episode 50, we will see him and Zane... Anyways, here's the next chapter!
Melanie's POV
My new sword hit against the tree as I practiced hitting the tree. My mind was concentrating on the tree, and that only.
At least it was.
"You ready for our next mission?" I sighed, turning around.
"What is it now, Kiera?" I asked. She smiled, but it was a mischievous one.
"We need revenge against those two girls. Ales revealed the secret to Laurence, and when we find Zane, Sam will just hold us back from... Doing what we need to." Kiera explained.
A thought struck my mind.
"What do you mean, 'doing what we need to do'?" I asked. Kiera rolled her eyes.
"Zane is the reason Garroth is gone. He's the reason you're so alone. He may even be the reason you are giving into darkness. So obviously he needs to be finished." Kiera pointed out.
And I obliged.
"Alright, well what are we going to do?" I asked. She smiled.
"Send them on a wild goose chase through this forest. They won't be able to leave, and we will be rid of them. Less distractions to getting Garroth back." Kiera said simply. I sighed, nodding.
"Fine. I'll do it." I said, turning and walking to the girls.
I bumped into something, toppling down on the floor and bracing for impact. An arm caught me, and pulled me back up into their two arms.
"Ah ah ah. You're not hurting yourself on my watch." I sighed with relief at the sound of Laurence's familiar voice.
"Oh, Laurence. It's just you." I said. Laurence pecked my lips with his.
"Excuse you, 'just me'? I'd say I'm a bit more then that." He said, letting me go. I tilted me head and narrowed me eyes.
"Ok then. You be that, and I'm going to talk to Ales and Sam." I said, walking towards the pair. As Laurence's back was turned, I grabbed Ales and Sam's wrists and pulled them into the forest after me.
"Melanie, what are you doing?! This forest is cursed, remember?" Ales whispered harshly. Sam narrowed her eyes as she looked at me, noticing my new sword.
"Melanie, what did you do with your sword?" She asked. I looked down at my new sword.
"What do mean...?" I tried to avoid looking into her eyes. Sam placed her hand on her sword's hilt.
"In the other dimension, Lexi told me you begged for an armor set and weapons identical to Garroth's. So why'd you change it?" Ales joined in. I swallowed, lifting my hand. In the back, I saw Kiera smirking at me.
One more thing... Make them forget.
WHAT?!
Make Sam forget Zane. Make Ales forget Travis. It'll be easier to convince them to leave.
But... But...
Do. It.
"I'm so sorry." I said. Sam unsheilded her sword, and Ales reached behind her to grab a potion, but I twisted my wrist before they could do anything. The two were frozen, their eyes wide.
"You no longer remember your lovers." I said, tears brimming my eyes. It was as if they could hear my every word, because I could see Sam's eyes filled with water, and Ales as well.
"You don't remember me, or anyone else you met on this adventure. You two are just on the run from O'Khasis guards. You never question why. All you know, is that you're stuck in this forest, and are in the run from them." I said.
Finally, I looked down at Sam's sword. She widened her eyes in horror as I waved my other hand over it, causing Zane's initials to disappear.
I snapped my fingers, and ran straight. Aphmau told us that if we did that, we'd get back to where we were. Sure enough, I did.
"Mel...?" I gasped and turned around. Vlyad was there, a concerned look on his face.
"V-Vlyad! Wh-What did you s-see?" I asked. Vlyad frowned.
"Enough. Did you just send Ales and Sam away?" He asked. I swallowed, nodding slowly.
"Damn it! He caught us..." It was Kiera again.
"Kiera, not the time." I mumbled.
"Who are you talking to?" Vlyad asked. I gasped quietly.
"Uh, no one!" I cried. He narrowed his eyes.
"Tell me, Mel. I just want to help you." He assured me. I looked away.
"It was for their own good. If they kept following us, not only would I be distracted from Garroth, they might get hurt!" I cried. Vlyad bit his lip.
"Mel, what are you going to tell Travis? And once we find him, what will you tell Zane?" He asked. I gripped my hands into fists.
"There won't be anything to tell him once I do what I have to." I said, walking past Vlyad and trying to ignore him.
"Mel, I'm all you have left now, aside from Laurence. You need to tell me what's wrong! You wouldn't hurt a soul, from what I remember. Let alone your younger brother, even if he is evil!" Vlyad cried. I froze, turning to face Vlyad.
"Vlyad, listen. I'm letting the darkness in me tell their side of the story. It's my choice." I explained. Vlyad widened his eyes.
"Th-the darkness?" He asked. I sighed.
"Nothing, just ignore me." I said, continuing my walk.
^-^
"Melanie, have you seen Ales? Aphmau's missing, and I'm worried Ales and Sam might be as well." Travis caught up to me, asking me where Ales was.
Uh oh...
Lie.
"Ales and Sam are gone. They thought we were too much trouble, and they wanted to leave." I lied.
Travis's face fell.
"What? She didn't say bye...?" Travis whispered. I smiled slightly.
"It's ok. I'm sure she had her reasons." I said before walking away.
A pang of guilt grew in my heart, but it instantly became pleasure.
I can see you enjoyed today's mission.
I sure did.
A/N HWATS WRONG WITH MELANIE!?!? To be honest, I'll miss Ales and Sam, but they'll be back! That's all you need to know.
