Melanie's POV

I put my book down and sat up, still a bit disappointed that Lexi and [Y/N] couldn't help me with Garroth.

Maybe they can't help you with Garroth... But they can help you with someone else that we know needs help.

What do you mean?

Still wanna give Laurence those fake memories?

....

Yeah you do. Give him those fake memories. You won't have a weakness once you do to hold you back from finding Garroth.

I'll ask... But who's going to pose as his fake girlfriend while we wait?

Do you still have that warmth potion Ales gave you?

Yes. Why?

Because she might've left some DNA on it. She can pose as Laurence's fake girlfriend.

I can't ask her to do that! What if she doesn't want to?!

She owes you. Besides, if she doesn't agree, I could always come out and... Persuade her.

Alright, fine. But how will we tell her to do it?

We'll figure out a way.

I sighed, getting up and walking down the stairs. [Y/N] stood outside, practicing her magicks.

"Hey, um... Can you help me with something else?" I asked. [Y/N] frowned.

"What is it?" She asked. I sighed.

"Well I'm not sure if you have him here, but my boyfriend has forgotten all his memories about me. I need to give him some memories, because he wants them back, but... They need to be fake." I said. [Y/N] raised an eyebrow.

"Why do they have to be fake?" She asked. I sighed, chewing on my lip.

"It's... Personal..." I said. [Y/N] decided not to pry, and sighed.

"Well, you know you need someone's DNA for that, right?" She asked. I immediately grabbed the potion of warmth from Ales and handed it to her.

"My friend's fingerprints are on here. She agreed to help me." I lied right through my teeth. [Y/N] didn't even seem to notice, though, and shrugged.

"Ok. If you don't mind my asking... What's the story behind your boyfriend?" She asked. I looked down.

"Laurence can be different." I said, looking back at [Y/N]. Her eyes were filled with shock.

"What?" I asked.

Ales' POV

I trudged along quietly behind Travis, staring at the floor.

"Sorry it's taking so long to get to my place... I try not to take the same path in case of any imps wandering around." Travis' voice broke my thoughts. I nodded, not saying anything.

"Hey, are you ok?.... You haven't said anything since we left the ruins." Travis said, walking up to me. I looked up, biting my lip.

"Well Travis... That book in the ruins told me some very personal feelings about Enki, and I feel like I shouldn't be knowing this. Aphmau should've come, not me. This is her field of expertise after all. It must have more meaning to her." I explained.

"What?! Why didn't you tell me anything?!" He asked. I sighed.

"Like I said, nobody but Aphmau should no about what was in that book. Not even me." I explained.

"Then you have my word. I won't tell anyone else." Travis said.

I explained to him about what was in the book, and he told me that it was very rare to know any of their loves life, if even to know at all. He also explained that the Divine Warriors didn't ever reveal who they had feelings for because it was a great weakness.

"It's really fascinating because Enki-- Wait... What is that?" Travis said suddenly.

"Uh... What's what?" I asked. Travis grabbed my shoulders and turned me so I would face the sky.

"That, on the horizon!" He said.

I noticed some smoke in the sky, which led me to wonder why. We ran closer to the mountain, Travis mumbling under his breath. Then, he turned to me.

"This doesn't look good... Let's go investigate." He said.

"Is it safe?" I asked. Travis frowned.

"Anything out of the ordinary is something I have to investigate on this island if I'm to keep it safe." He said.

Then, I noticed that the smoke was coming from somewhere I've run through before... I had run through it to even get to where I found Travis.

"T-Travis, that smoke is coming from the direction of the boat-- OH MY LADY IRENE, SAM!" I yelled, running in front of him. Travis ran after me, calling for me to wait, but I didn't listen.

"SAM?! SAM NO!" I yelled, seeing the boat in flames. I ran to the boat, tripping over myself as I noticed Sam on the floor, and Katelyn besides her laid out in the snow.

As Aphmau helped with Katelynm I talk to Sam. She explained everything.

"This is bad... What will Aphmau do?" I asked. Aphmau walked to me.

"I'm going... But I need you two to help me with something." Aphmau said. Sam winced as she sat up.

"Melanie hasn't returned. Laurence and I are worried. You two need to find her." Aphmau ordered.

"What do you mean, she hasn't returned?!" Sam asked.

"I mean she hasn't come back." Aphmau said. I widened my eyes.

"What?!" I asked. Aphmau nodded.

"Will you two please find her? Whatever you do though, don't follow me." She said, getting up and leaving. I bit my lip.

"Well Sam, looks like we have a new job. But first, I'm going to help you with your wounds." I said  pulling out a healing potion and starting to help Sam.

A/N Hopefully, that was enough.

I was watching the episode, and when it ended, this was my initial response.

"ITS GONNA END THERE?!?! IT CANT JUST END THERE!!!"

Honestly, when I saw the thumbnail, I was hoping Garroth would be coming back. It pains me to see Melanie and Garroth seperated in my books, and I just want Garroth back.

YOU KNOW WHAT, IM RAGING ABOUT THIS IN MY RAGE BOOK! BAI!
