Episode 26

A/N Hi guys! I'm writing to try an heal my broken, no Dan or Phil heart.

*Sigh*

Anyways, here's the chapter!

Melanie's POV

I opened my eyes, a splitting pain in my head. I groaned, lifting my hand to the back of my head, wincing as I touched it.

Is this what Dale felt like after every time he got drunk on rootbeer?

I looked around. I was in a dark tent, with the only little sunlight coming in from a small opening for someone to come in. I tried to sit up, but some sort of force held me down.

Must be magicks.

Someone walked in, a cup of water in her hand. I couldn't see her very clearly because my vision was blurry.

"Here. Drink."

I took the water, swallowing it down to the last drop. I handed it back, and realized all my stuff was gone.

"Good, you finished. Now, you're going to tell me who you are, and what you want."

The person's face became clear, and I could see their every feature.

It was a girl, with long, black hair that reached her waist. She had dark, brown eyes, and they looked like the Nether's fury in two. Her face showed no emotion, only anger, as she pulled out a knife and held it against my neck.

"Did you come for her?" The girl asked, her eyes showing danger. I gulped and shook my head no.

Who is her?

"Liar. Tell me the truth." The girl ordered.

"I-- My name is Melanie, and I'm a retired guard of Phoenix Drop. My twin brother is stuck inside of Lady Irene's Dimension, thanks to a certain someone named Zane." I said.

The girl had a quick flash of innocence pass through her eyes for a split second.

"You're lying." She growled. I swallowed.

"I swear I'm not. Please, I just need to find my brother. I've been through so much. I need him to help me with something I'm going through." I explained. The girl sighed, putting away her knife.

"Hold on a second. I'll be back." She said, walking away.

I looked around, wondering where she went. I only told her about Garroth because I didn't need her knowing I was Zane's biological older sister. She'd probably kill me on the spot, seeing as how every single person I run into was hurt by Zane.

A splash of water fell on my face. I gasped, sitting up straight.

Wait... I'm sitting up?

"The anti-freezing potion. You're free." Said the girl. I was able to see what she was wearing. She had on a loose, dark purple cardigan with black leggings and black flats. On her back was a black cloak, and I could see a black bow and arrows swung around her shoulders.

Wait... Where are my weapons?!

I looked around frantically for my weapons.

"Don't worry, you're stuff has been put away. But, if you're going to stay with us, we need to trust you first." Said the girl.

Stay with us? She's the only one, right? And I'm staying?

"I-I'm allowed to stay?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yes. You said your twin brother was stuck in that dimension, right? Well, I might know someone who could help." Said the girl. I sighed a breath of relief.

"Oh, thank you!" I said, hugging the girl tightly. She stiffened up, as if she has been hugged like this before, and she lost the person who had done that to her.

I knew how she felt. I was the same way when Jack kissed me.

"What's your name?" I asked. The girl looked down, motioning for me to follow her.

"Sam."

"I'm not the only one in this hide out. There's one more of us. I'm sorry about your head. I can be very tough when I need to be, and you were getting awfully close to our camp site."

There were two tents in a circle around a campfire. Weapons were laid out next to one of the weapons, and a food supply next to another.

"This is our campsite for the day. I sleep in the one we just came out of, and then she sleeps in the other tent." Sam explained, walking to the weapon supply. She took out a backpack, a light blue one, and handed it to me.

"Here. This is yours. You can go ahead and change." Sam said, pointing to her tent. I nodded and went inside, pulling out the first clothes that Cadenza gave me. My white dress and light blue cape, with my black flats.

"And here are your weapons." Sam said as I walked out of the tent. She handed me my diamond sword.

The one that looked like Garroth's sword.

I shook my head and took the sword, hanging it on my back. Then, she handed me a bow and arrows. I took the bow and swung it around, having never used one without Jack.

Jack...

"Never used one, huh? No matter, she'll teach you. I can't, I was taught by her." Sam explained.

"Where is she?" I asked. She sighed.

"She should be back soon. I had her go hunting." Explained Sam.

"Do you guys travel a lot?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yes. We move everyday. She has magicks, and she uses it for moving our stuff so we don't have to carry it all." Sam explained. I nodded in understatement.

A noise came from the woods, and Sam looked up quickly. A girl came out. She had dark brown bouncy hair that reached her ribs. Her eyes were a light brown and were filled with amusement and happiness. Her face had a look of innocence and peace, as if she wanted Minecraftia to be a good place. She had a smile of joy, as if she had done something to remember.

So this is her.

"Sam! Guess what? I killed a chicken!" She exclaimed, holding up the dead bird. Her smile changed into a panicked expression when she saw me. Her legs started to tremble, and I could see goosebumps build up on her arms. She took in a quick breath, and slowly put down her chicken.

"S-Sam, who is th-that?" She asked nervously, slowly walking to a tree for protection. Sam's eyes widened when she remembered that she hadn't introduced me yet, and she quickly stepped in front of me.

"Ales, it's ok! She's good. She's got issues with Zane too." Sam said quickly.

The girl quickly wore a smile again as she relaxed and walked towards me. She picked up her chicken and handed it to Sam, then came over and talked to me.

"Hi! I'm Ales. What's your name?" She asked.

"I'm Melanie." I answered, smiling. Ales smirked.

"Melanie, huh? Funny, that name means... Hmm..." Ales rubbed her chin.

"What?" Sam and I asked in unison. She narrowed her eyes.

"Melanie means 'darkness'."

A/N Yes, I do know where I'm going with this. I've known about the name definition for the past... Well, when did I invent Melanie? Anyways, yeah, I've known. It's true, too. You can look it up.
