Melanie's POV

"Jack!" I yelled as he ran towards me. I was enveloped into a hug, and as upset as I was about Laurence being taken into medical care without me, the hug made me feel better.

"Melanie, are you ok? Didn't you notice, he was about to kill you!" Jack said, grabbing my shoulders and examining me. I frantically tried to turn my head so I could follow after Laurence. Jack seemed to notice and grabbed my face in his hands, turning me so I would be staring into his dark green eyes.

"Hey, Laurence will be fine. I didn't deliver a strong enough blow to kill him. He's going to be ok." Jack guaranteed. I sighed, sniffing some tears.

"O-Ok. I believe you." I said, nodding. Jack smirked, letting me go.

"I knew you would. But, if it makes you feel better, that was not the real Laurence in there. I'm not sure what it was, and I know I don't know him at all, but I could tell it wasn't him." Jack said, looking at me with concern. I bit my lip.

"I know that too." I admitted. Jack looked up and saw my new light blue ears, and noticed my tail, too.

"Nice ears." He commented. I groaned, face palming.

"No. Don't even." I said, rolling my eyes as I felt my pride go down the drain. Jack looked up and noticed Lily with Aaron.

"Lily!" He cried. Lily looked up and smiled, then shock fell upon her face.

"Jack, if you're here, then.... IS JADYN DEAD!?!? Oh, please Jack, tell me she's no--"

"No, don't worry, Jadyn is not dead. I'm here because the communication amulet we gave you was destroyed." He said.

The werewolf tribe... If one communication amulet is destroyed, then the other is as well.

"We panicked, and I decided to go after you. Oh, by the way Melanie, Amber told me to tell you that it should be 'T.F.D' time soon. I'm not sure what it means, but you might." Jack said.

T.F.D. I knew exactly what it meant.

T - Time

F - For

D - Darkness

That must mean it was time for me to get my memories, visions and nightmares soon...

"Uh... Yeah, I know what it means." I said, nodding.

"Well Jack, if you're here, then let's get the potion stuff already!" Lily said, grabbing Jack's arm and dragging him into the village. I chuckled, following close behind.

"Ok guys. I'm gonna need a day at the most to make this. You two do... Whatever you need to do. I'll be done by the morning, and then we can go to Jadyn. Alright?" Lily asked. Jack and I nodded in unison. Lily was about to start making the Hazel Mist potion, and we had to wait until tomorrow.

"Alright. I'll be in my room if you need me." Lily said, walking away. I looked up at Jack and smiled.

"I better get going... Aphmau is trying to heal Laurence." I explained, walking down the hall. Jack followed.

"Can I tag along?" Asked Jack. I nodded.

"Sure!" I said, smirking as I ran to Aphmau's room.

"Race ya!" I cried, running. Jack's face became shocked as he tried running after me.

"Hey, no fair!" He yelled. I laughed, reaching the end of the hall.

"I won." I said, sticking my tongue out. Jack rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Whatever. Let's just get going to see your boyfriend, alright?" He asked, a bit annoyed at the word boyfriend. I nodded, continuing to walk.

I walked up the stairs toward Aphmau's room, and stopped in front of it. Nicole was there, spying.

"Uh, Nicole?" I asked uncertainly. She looked up and smiled.

"O-Oh! Hey Mel!" She cried. I secretly winced. Only Garroth used to call me Mel, him and Nicole. Whenever someone called me that, I thought of Garroth, and how I might never see him again.

"I'm here to see Laurence!" I said, changing the thought in my mind.

If I think of Garroth during T.F.D time, I'll get a nightmare about it!

"Oh, I'm not sure that's a good idea..." Nicole said, staring at the door.

"Why not?" I asked, walking to the door. Jack seemed to notice something and stepped in front of me.

"Melanie, don't go in there." He warned. I rolled my eyes and stepped in front of him.

I should've listened

I saw Laurence advance towards Aphmau, caressing her cheek with his hand. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He grabbed her and pulled her towards him, kissing her.

Why is Aphmau such a good person, Irene damn it!

"Laurence?" I whispered. Aphmau quickly pushed him off, shaking her head with a raised eyebrow.

"Laurence, you can't kiss me! I know you've forgotten, but--" Aphmau turned and saw me, her mouth gaped open.

"Melanie, I have to tell you something--"

Laurence beat her to it by looking at me with a confused expression.

"Uh... Who are you?" He asked, pointing at me.

My world crashed down.

"Y-You don't remember me?" I asked in a hushed voice. Laurence rubbed his temple as if trying to think. Then, a lightbulb flicked on in his mind, and he smirked.

"Oh yeah! You're Melanie, Garroth's twin, right? We were good friends, huh?" Laurence asked, tilting his head to the side. I gulped.

Good friends?!

"D-Don't you r-r-remember anything else?" I asked. He bit his lip, trying to think.

"... Um, Garroth is stuck in Lady Irene's dimension? I'm sorry, I remember everything else pretty clearly. Whoever hit me upside the head did it pretty hard." Laurence said, sighing.

He lost his memory. But not all of it.

Just the memories of me.

The tears were already swelling up in my eyes.

"Melanie, I couldn't find you anywhere! I wanted to tell you, but you weren't there. I'm so sorry, we tried everything--" Aphmau tried to explain.

I ran. I turned and ran to my room.

"Melanie?!" Jack. He must've been following me. I ran into my room and slammed my door, locking it.

"Jack, I need to be alone!" I yelled, sinking to the floor with my back against the wall.

"I'm so sorry, I must've hit Laurence too hard on the head! I swear it was an accident, I was trying to find you and Lily, and I panicked when I saw him try and hurt you!" Jack cried. I buried my face into my arms, crying.

"Jack, leave me alone! Please!" I pleaded between sobs. Jack sighed, and silence fell upon us.

Why couldn't Laurence and I just have a normal life?

A/N Yep. The end of Laurnie has come...

IM SO SORRY LAURNIE LOVERS!!! But it's over. I think my heart is slowly breaking. I remember shipping Laurnie...

*Cheesy memory music starts*

All the things I wrote... The kiss in the Nether, the first date, before the book was edited throughout, and I made Laurence lose his memory because Zane pushed him off the tower... I remember it all...
