Nicole probably had to lie about Dante being dead so Dmitri wouldn't hate his dad.

Anyways on with the episode!

Melanie's POV

I ran through the forest, the wind flying through my hair as I tried to catch up with Laurence. Aphmau went after Katelyn and Abby, and I went to Laurence.

I saw him standing next to a lake, looking at his reflection.

".... I'm a monster..." He mumbled. I took in a deep breath.

"Laurence you are not a monster." I said. Laurence looked up and relaxed when he saw me, a look of relief passing over his face.

"Oh, hey Melanie." He sighed.

"Laurence, what's wrong?" I asked. He bit his lip.

"Just reflecting." Laurence sighed. Then, a look of confusion passed him.

"Why did you kiss me?" He asked.

"W-What?" I asked.

"I know you don't love me like you used to. So why'd you do it?" He asked. I swallowed

"L-Laurence, I never stopped loving you." I said, lying through my teeth. Laurence shook his head.

"Melanie, I know you. You're lying. I'm not sure why, but you stopped loving me when Garroth was 'sick'. To be honest, I was nervous. When he did that, somehow I though he stopped loving Aphmau. That must've meant you would stop loving me, too, considering you and Garroth are basically glued to each other." Laurence sighed.

Even though it was dark, I could see tears start to well up in his eyes. It made my heart drop.

"Why? Did I do something? Whatever it was, I wasn't trying to be rude, I swear! I may have joke flirted with a table in front of Aphmau... was that it? I love you too much to have you mad at me, or upset with me, or even a bit disappointed."

I bit back tears as Laurence passed his hand through his wavy brown hair, hitting his orange cat ears on the way. His tears started to drip, slowly, but surely.

"Melanie, tell me what I did wrong. Please. I'll make it up to you I swear. I just need you back in my life, I'm not sure I'll be able to--"

I couldn't help it. Seeing Laurence cry over me broke me. It hurt. I almost cried myself. Without even thinking, I rushed up to Laurence and smashed my lips against his. He embraced me, his arms wrapped around my waist as his fingers became entangled in my blonde hair. I snaked my arms around his neck, needing to feel his warmth again. 

I pulled away, still in his embrace. 

"Laurence, it doesn't matter anymore. You could never disappoint me, alright? I just... I don't wanna talk about it. Let's forget about that and move on. I love you, and that's no lie. You can see it in my eyes, right?" I asked, looking into his blue eyes. Laurence sighed, closing his eyes.

"Ok. I believe you." He said, leaning into me. But before he could kiss me again, a rustling noise stopped him.

I looked behind him and saw a figure in the bushes. Laurence motioned for me to be silent, and he walked over to it. 

BANG!

"Ha! That's what you get for trying to sweet talk me, you little rascal!" 

I knew that voice. How could I forget that woman?

"NICOLE?!?!" I cried.

Aphmau was at my side before I knew it, hugging Nicole. I guess she didn't find Katelyn. The two shared an embrace and reconciled while I checked on Laurence. 

Then, I looked up and saw Katelyn rush to me, and before I knew it everything went black.

A/N In case any of you were confused, Melanie got hit by Katelyn instead of Nicole.
