Also, I'm starting to make this a fan fiction, and slightly start to break away from the main storyline, like some of you have suggested I do.

Melanie's POV

I walked out of the room with Jack, and glanced at Laurence.

"So, how did it go?" He asked. I sighed, slightly frowning.

"Was it supposed to go a specific way? Let's just go." I said, grabbing his arm and taking him out of the house, saying goodbye to Jadyn, Amber and Lily on the way.

"Ok, what happened with Jack? You seemed pretty pissed." Laurence said. I let out a breath of slight anger.

"Listen, he kissed me a while back in the woods, but I ran away, having  just lost someone. Then, he kissed me again inside, and told me his feelings for me, but again I rejected them. Happy?" I asked, sitting down on a log.

"Oh." He said, sitting next to me.

We sat in silence for a bit, until Laurence spoke up.

"If you don't mind my asking, what do you mean you lost someone?" Asked Laurence.

Crap.

Lie, you idiot.

It's Laurence, I don't wanna lie.

Yet, you're about to give him the biggest lie by handing him that potion.

...

You know you don't wanna see Laurence happy without you. Admit it. You. Want. Laurence. Back.

I do want Laurence back. But, I'd hate to see him sad and lonely.

Just let me lead for once, and you could get him back. Don't give him that potion. You know you don't want to.

I don't want to. But I'm doing it anyways. I can focus on Garroth without having to worry about Laurence.

Right. Of course you would. But, you'd be on your own.

I don't care. Once Garroth gets back, I'll be happy as can be, and finding love won't matter.

"My–uh–boyfriend was killed in battle while at Scaleswind by a Shadow Soul." Lies. All lies.

"...I'm sorry." Laurence said.

"It's fine, Laurence." I said, biting my lip. Laurence smirked, then he stood up.

"Come on, dance with me." He said, grabbing my hand. He pulled me up to my feet.

"Wha-- why?" I asked confused. Laurence smiled.

"You need to dance. You've been sad for a while now." He said. I smiled.

"Alright Laurence, but I'm warning you. I was a former princess." I said.

"You didn't find out until about four months ago!" Laurence said.

"So? It's in my DNA." I said, raising my eyebrows. He rolled his eyes playfully and placed his hand around my waist.

I stepped forward... Onto Laurence's foot.

"Oh-I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, strapping away from Laurence's grip. He shrugged.

"Nah, it's fine. Come on, let's keep dancing." He said. I bit my lip hesitantly.

"Alrighty then, I have an idea." He said, lifting me in his arms. Laurence placed my feet lightly on top of his. Then, he started to dance, and kept me in his hold. 

I had missed his hold.

Ok, you made the choice to go into my thoughts.

I stepped off his feet and smiled.

"Laurence, I think it's time for you to drink the potion now." I said, smiling.

"Uh, ok. If you think I need to drink it now." He said, nodding.

I took the potion out of my cloak's pocket, and stared at it for a couple of seconds.

Remember, you don't have to give that to him. You could let me lead, and have him remember you.

I-I...

Just. Let. Me. Lead. It's easier then you think. And, it's so much fun.

You don't want to give him that potion. You want him to remember you.

BUT ID RATHER HE REMEMBERED ME OUT OF HIS OWN WILL THEN OF MY OWN, ALRIGHT?!?! LEAVE. ME. ALONE!!!

You know I'll always be around. But, you're going to regret making that choice.

"Melanie? Are you ok?" I looked up at Laurence, who wore a concerned look on his face. I gave him a weak smile.

"Y-Yes Laurence. I'll be ok." I managed to get out in a small voice. Then, I handed him the potion.

Let me lead, I'll fix this.

No.

Let me lead, it'll make things better.

No.

WILL YOU JUST LET ME LEAD?!?!

NO!!!

"Laurence, drink the potion." I ordered, nervous that I would crack.

"Melanie?" Laurence asked concerned.

I could feel the darkness get its grip onto me.

"LAURENCE DRINK THE POTION!!! PLEASE!!!" I cried.

Don't let him. Smack it out of his hands.

I can't...

You're so weak. Soon enough, I'll be in control.

Not unless Laurence drinks the potion, which he will.

Laurence sighed, unbottling the potion. He quickly put it to his mouth and swallowed it down.

You fool. Now he'll never remember you. 

At least you won't be in control.

That's what you think.

What?!

I managed to get in control while you held the potion.

What are you saying...?

I managed to use your magicks for your own pleasure.

Laurence looked at me with no expression on his face.

"What is it?" I asked. He sighed.

"Nothing happened. I didn't get my memories back." He said.

What?! Why not?!

I was able to use your magicks and turn the potion useless.

Why would you do that?!

Because now, I'm more powerful.

"What do mean, you don't remember?" I asked. Laurence sighed.

"I jut don't." He said.

"Ok, well then I guess we'll have to find them another way." I said. Laurence nodded.

"Speaking of which, I have to speak with Dante. He should be waking up soon." Laurence said. I nodded.

"Alright. I'll see you soon, Laurence." I said as he walked away to Phoenix Drop.

I was writing this yesterday, and I watched the side stories episode. I died laughing.
