Melanie's POV

I woke up with a start, my mind wandering.

Thank goodness I took another potion, or else my dark side would be annoying me right now.

A pang of guilt overtook me. I was using Ales' fingerprints for Laurence's fake memories, and she didn't even know.

I should tell her.

Quickly, I got out of bed and silently walked out, tiptoeing to Ales' room. On my way out, I noticed Sam sleeping on the sofa. She seemed uncomfortable, but it seems she would do anything for Ales.

I opened the door to the guest bedroom, and peered around. Ales was sleeping peacefully, holding her pillow like a stuffed animal.

Just like Laurence.

I shook the thought out of my head and walked to her, shaking her slightly.

"Ales? Psst!" I whispered, shaking her a bit more. Ales opened her eyes and wiped at them with her hands, blinking rapidly.

"Hmm? Oh... Hey Melanie. What is it?" Ales asked silently.

"I need you to do me the biggest favor in the world." I said. Ales became wide awake.

"What's up?" She asked.

"You see, I need to give Laurence his fake memories. But to do that... I need the fingerprints of a girl who would be willing to be Laurence's fake girlfriend.... And I gave Lexi yours." I explained.

Ales sat up, her eyes wide.

"Wh-What?!"

Ales's POV

"I'm sorry, but I needed to!" Melanie explained. I frowned.

"Melanie, I can't be someone's fake girlfriend!" I cried silently. Melanie sighed.

"Well, you did say he was cute--"

"That doesn't mean I'm gonna be his fake girlfriend!" I said. Melanie bit her lip.

"Please! I need you to do this for me!" She said.

"I have no expirience with love, Melanie! I haven't kissed someone in two years!" I said. Melanie widened her eyes.

"That doesn't matter! Please Ales, please!" Melanie pleaded.

But.... But what about Travis...?

I like him...

".... Alright fine. You owe me." I said, finally giving in. Melanie grinned.

"Thanks, Ales!" Melanie exclaimed. I frowned.

"You have to explain this to Sam though." I said. Melanie shrugged.

"That's fine." She said, hugging me tightly before leaving.

As she walked out the door, I lay in bed with my thoughts wandering around.
