Sunny was checking on her egg,which was a bit larger than a normal SandWing egg.Did that mean there were twins inside?Suddenly,a yell.Then,screams.Qibli's was the loudest.Sunny looked at her mate,and they exchanged a glance.Sunny rushed towards the throne room as Egypt stayed behind to protect the egg.However,when Sunny got there,she was already too late.Her mother,Queen Thorn of the SandWings,was dead on her own throne,a slash mark across her throat,blood slowly dripping out of her maw.Qibli was almost out cold,with both wings seriously damaged and his barb partially cut open,though only a little bit.Just enough so that the wound could be sealed shut.Blood poured out of his left eye,which was shut.Then Sunny noticed something.A black,small orb-like object near Qibli.Sunny realized with horror,'Something ripped his left eye out.'

Meanwhile,within SeaWing Territory,Auklet was talking with one of her many,many brothers.Then she smelled the stench of blood.Auklet swam to the room she had once played in so often as a dragonet,having heard the scream from there.Queen Coral's neck had been snapped effortlessly,like a flimsy seashell.Anemone and Pike were currently trying to kill a cloaked dragon,who grabbed a spear Anemone had enchanted to be extremely sharp,and,before Auklet could even dream of intervening,stabbed Pike so hard that the spear not only went through HIS chest,but Anemone's as well,since she had tried to get close enough to unenchant the spear.With that,Auklet passed out from fear,and her consciousness temporarily fade away.
