The Old War

"Are you scared?" Luna asked poking me. "NO!.......a little," I whispered looking out the school bus window. Today we are visiting the giants' land or land of the giants. Giants live there obviously, but they could kill us. There is a line that little people nor giants can pass. Well, giants can't pass it but little people can it's just stupid to do so. We have our parts of Earth. But sometimes little people run out of food. So we ask the giants for food. Sometimes they ask for little people to eat or keep as pets or they ask for nothing. Today was that type of day. All were scared for their lives.

The bus screeched to a stop. We were here. Well, we were at a mansion. Luna seemed excited. Everyone got out of the bus. Some scared, others confused. A tall skeleton walked by everyone. "Hi, Dad!" Luna screamed from the bus window. The skeleton waved back. When we got out of the bus, I saw how tall the skeleton was. Luna made me walk by the skeleton. "Alright, dad this is Lil, Lil with is my dad, gaster," Luna smiled. "It's very nice to meet you," gaster bowed. "Very nice to meet you too," I lightly smiled. I could tell that he was a giant.

I knew Luna was a giant but I didn't care. The trees here were huge. "You know, Luna, you could have just stayed home instead of going on the bus," gaster looked at Luna. "I know, but Lil was worried so I stayed with her," Luna smiled. Gaster seemed to smile more at her answer. "BOO!" Sissy screamed. "Hey! Don't do that! I'm on edge!" I yelled. "Ha! Why are you scared? It's not like giants can just take you here. Oh wait, yes they can," sissy smiled. "What are the plans for all this?" Luna asked. "I'm not allowed to tell you but I will. We-," he was cut off by a scream. Someone was thrown to the ground. A guy named Tom was there. "What's happening here? A trade? So are we killing people or not?" Tom smiled. Luna hissed at him." That's not your business. It is not trusted with you," gaster said sternly.

"I like that you didn't say yes or no," Tom smiled. I knew who this man was. He was the man that killed my family. "Giants kill, gaster. But true giants murder," Tom's smile widened. "I don't disagree," gaster smiled. Tom looked confused at his answer. Magic covered gaster. "But if you really want to know.......some may die," gaster said before disappearing. My blood went cold.

A lot of people started to whisper. I stood there. Luna didn't look surprised. "It will be fine, it can't be too bad," Luna said to me. "They take kids, they always have," I frowned. "I-I know. It's going to be hard. Just a second, I'll be right back," Luna said walking away from me.

Luna POV

I was looking for my dad. He was behind the house smoking. "Hey, dad!" I yelled. "Yeah, Luna?" He asked as he threw his cigarette on the ground. "Is lil on the list?" I asked. "Yeah, a lot of people are on the list. Why?" Gaster explained. "Can you take her?" I asked in a worried voice. "I'll see if I can do that. But she looked really scared of me," gaster smiled. "Yeah, I know. She's scared of giants and tall people," I smiled. "Hey Luna, what are you doing?" Lil asked coming out of nowhere. "Oh! Nothing, I just wanted to find my dad," I smiled.

"Sup," gaster smiled. "Hey," lil shivered. I could tell lil was not happy about all of this. Lil seemed to notice something that scared her.  She shivered a lot. "You okay?" I smiled. She snapped back into reality. "Y-yeah," she shivered. Gaster had got another cigarette and lit it. He puffed out some smoke. "You don't look okay," he commented. I knew she was scared of my dad.

"Oh, no, I'm good," lil said backing up a little bit. My dad smiled at this. He seemed to like that lil was scared of him. Which bothered me. If he likes it, he will try to scare her.

Gaster POV

Her face was too much for me. It was fear mixed with her smiling. I knew I wanted to keep her ever since I saw her. Her fear was so cute. I Looked down at her and took a step forward. She started to shake. I smiled, and then backed away. I also bet she has a good taste. I licked my lips. Oh god just thinking about it is making me hungry. But I can't eat her. I have to be nice for Luna.

"So what's your plan for all of this?" Luna asked snapping me back into reality. "Get the people that are getting traded and then bring them to the people who want them," I explained puffing my cig again. "Alright, makes sense," Luna smiled a little bit. I looked at lil again.

The School Crush

Today at school, Gaster was staring at me. I thought it was weird. He was a teacher, well he was the science teacher. The class was taking a test about cells. I was done so I was drawing. It was a picture of a cat with one leg. Ever so often I would look up to see gaster looking at me. At first, I thought it was a coincidence. But then it kept happening. Finally, the bell rang as it hit 12:00. It was lunchtime. I got up as everyone else left.

Gaster then came over and smiled, "can I ask you a question?" I nodded, wondering what he was going to ask me. "What were you drawing?" He asked politely. " Oh, I can show you," I smiled as I looked through a folder. I was surprised that he would ask that. I found it and handed it to him. His eyes seemed to light up as he looked at it.

"This is amazing, Lil," he smiled in a calm voice. "It's just a sketch. I need to add more details and some color," I smiled taking it back. "More detail?" Gaster questioned. "Yeah, I only spent about 20 minutes on it," I smiled at his confused face. "I don't get you, art people," he smiled. "Why a cat with one leg?" He asked. "It's based on a story about a cat with nine lives. I made it into a little anime," I smiled. "See you later, Dr. Gaster," I waved as I left.

"Bye, lil," gaster waved too. I went to my locker. I put everything away. "Hey! lil!" Luna yelled. "Hey, Luna," I smiled back. Luna is gaster's daughter. She is 16 but she is in the same grade as me. Jessica said that she pulled a gaster. Which means she stayed in the same grade so she could have some friends. She ended up finding me and some other of my friends. "I wonder what's for lunch?" Luna asked herself. "I saw and heard what gaster said," sissy smiled mysteriously.

"Shut up! Sassy sissy!" I yelled. "What's with the screaming?" Jessica said crossing her arms. "Sorry," Sissy and I said at the same time. Jessica is the principal. Gaster entered the small group chat. Well, Luna entered him by screaming, "Hey dad!" "Hey, Luna, what are you guys talking about?" Gaster asked. "Well.....," I stopped her sissy From talking by kicking her. "Hey!" She yelled trying to kick me back.

Finally, we got lunch. It was a walking taco. Which was not the best but I would eat it. After lunch, I stayed inside because it was too cold for me. Gaster asked, "can you follow me?" I said yes even though I didn't want to. We were alone. He looked at me after he stopped walking. "You should smile more," Gaster said after he looked at me. I thought, ' well you should stop staring at me.' "I'll try," I said giving a weak smile.
