The sound of a heart beating, slowly each beat become weaker and weaker as time passed, a sound of a fragile heart about to break down scared them so much that every second like death is waiting to claimed a soul ❝Is this what is like to be in Reina's spirit world?❞ Sabito asked, been wondering around the empty space for a while now.

❝It's so creepy! Her heartbeat sound so fragile that it's scaring me to the core!❞ Asuga shivered, wrapping her arms around herself suddenly feeling the temperature had dropped around her.

❝Hey is that...❞ Makomo whispered, stopping at her tracks upon noticing a figure in the dark, it was so dark that any of them could barely notice the figure if it wasn't for their trained senses had increased due to all of their intense training those years ago.

❝Sabito...❞ whispering in a low tone, the silhouette of the figure stood firmly in the darkness as if it was afraid of the light itself.

❝You're...❞ Upon hearing his name being called, the boy begin to move forward, trying to get a closer view of the figure.

Finally, they begin to take a step forward towards the light, revealing themselves to the children which cause their eyes to widen themselves in shocked as the figure paused to look at them in the eyes ❝I'm Reina's shadow❞

The figure look exactly like her yet it was darker as it was being stuck in a void of darkness to the point of the features were barely unrecognizable. It was as if the real thing was slowly fading away from it's own existence...

❝H-Her s-shadow?❞ Asuga stuttered nervously in cold sweats as they begin to appeared on her cheeks while the figure countinue, mumbling like a scared child ❝All the things I fear. All the insecurities I hold within myself❞

❝Your insecurities?❞ Sabito asked, confused by its odd behaviors.

❝I'm afraid that... I'm most useless of all the people around me❞ Ignoring him, the shadow begin to talk nonstop, explaining the demon's true feelings that she failed to express properly ❝This world is so big and bright... There are so many people❞

The smile on her face immediately dropped, Makomo stare at the shadow with sad eyes as her features soften at the thought of a child enduring this amount of negativity on their little shoulders alone made her heart ache a lot.

❝Everyone else is so happy... But there's so much I don't understand no matter how much I studied to understand it...❞ The shadow's voice begin to crack, catching the pinknette's attention ❝Sometimes, I wonder if I'm really capable of helping anyone at all...❞

❝B-But you did helped us back then!❞ Asuga exclaimed, trying to encourage her but her words didn't reached her... ❝If the people here start to hate me, then I won't have anywhere to go...❞

❝Reina... Is that what you've been worried about this whole time?❞ Makomo asked.

❝You're going to be fine. I promised that I'd be with you, remember?❞ Sabito said, he thought by making her remember their promise could finally snapped her out of it but the negativity around the shadow still remain ❝You'll be with me... forever? For my whole life? For eternity?❞

❝Well... as long as I can be...❞ He said, unsure what to tell her but it's cause the shadow to feel worse ❝I don't want that. I'm going to make another big mistake❞

With that being said, the shadow turn towards Makomo who was staring at her worriedly ❝And after that... everyone is going to hate me...❞ her eyes begin to fill with tears as a negative thought of the said girl hate her for being a demon made her want to disappeared even more...

❝Hey, Reina...❞ Noticing her stare on the ravenette, he stepped forwards reaching his hand out to her ❝I'm scared... I'm so scared! Please, don't hate me!❞ She cried, voice cracking every words she mumbles.

❝Reina! Listen to me!❞ Sabito shouted, almost grabbing a hold of her wrist but she quickly jumped a few feets away from him ❝Don't come near me!❞

❝H-Hey! Wait!❞ With that, the shadow immediately ran wanting to be far away from them as much as possible.

❝Is that Reina's shadow...? Are those the real feelings she's been hiding...?❞ Makomo asked, ready to chase after the shadow who was already making a distance between them ❝I guess it's doesn't matter one way or the other... I have to catch her!❞ Sabito shouted, dashing forward.

Minori yelled at him to stop from going ❝Hey, wait! It's dangerous out there!!❞

❝Reina, stop running away!❞ The peachy pinknette exclaimed, completely ignoring the poor demon's warning ❝I'm getting her back no matter what it's take...!❞

❝Hey, pinkie! Thanks for ignoring me but watch out for your back, will ya?!❞ Minori yelled, clearly getting irritated that he might explode due to the redness on his face.

❝Who are you calling pinkie-?!❞ He was cut off by an arrow that was heading straight at him as he quickly avoid it, cutting a little bit of his hair during the process.

❛That was close!❜ He thought in cold sweat and not long after that, little creatures begin to appeared from the ground before him. Minori stood in front of the boy, acting as a shield ❝Pinkie, you need to keep going after her! Those demonic monsters won't die as long as she's still here!❞

❝So basically you're saying they're unstoppable?!❞ Asuga shivered, face pale instantly.

❝Uh... Yeah...❞ He sweatdrops.

❝Why are they here?❞ Makomo asked as the other girl held her arm almost too scared to stand properly on her own.

❝Well... They're here to collect her souls...❞

❝WHAT?!❞

❝What do you mean by "souls"?!❞ Asuga look at him in disbelief, believing that she must misheard it.... or so she thought.

❝.... Well she might be a demon on the outside and that's because of her demon soul... but her human soul is still alive❞ Minori turn his attention towards the creatures in front of him ❝Because a pure blooded Kishino were originally humans who were forced to become demons as a payment for the ruler of hell... I know it's cruel but that's how it is in our world❞

His pink orbs glance over his shoulder to the children behind him ❝So please... go and save her before it's too late, I beg of you...❞ If they look at his eyes closely, little tears were showing at the corners of his eyes ❝As her friends... the family she choose... please save her!❞
