There was a terrible rumble from deep in the belly of the forest that struck fear into every living being. Then the earth began to move as if it were a wave on the sea and trees that had stood for centuries crumbled into the ground causing leaves to rustles harshly.

When the sound footsteps struck the noise was many magnitudes louder than thunder. The roar was at an intensity they never experienced before. The trees themselves  were shaken like a dolls house. They ran and ran deeper through the forest, trying to find the exit. To escape from this nightmare.

❝Ah!❞ She yelped when one of the tree branch was heading her direction, knocking her flora designed fox mask off her head. The ravenette water user paused, quickly turning around to grab the mask which is a few feets away from her and the group.

Sabito being the first one to notice her sudden change of direction, he shouted ❝Makomo, we don't have time!❞

❝But it's from Urokodaki-san!❞ She cried out, picking her mask off the ground and quietly bringing the mask to her chest, sighing in relief ❝Makomo!❞ The call of her name snapped her out of her short moment, noticing a large shadow towering over her form causing the back of her neck stood up in alarm.

At first no-one moves, their brains unable to make sense of the input from their ears and feet. The ground is moving and the noise is like extended thunder only worse because the vibrations are coming from below. Then like time had stopped itself in that very moment but the heavy feeling of fear were pinning her down causing her body to freeze on it's own.

She thought it was the end of her life right there, the demon was far too close for her to escape. Is this how despair overcome hope?

Command the girl.

Like the little spark of a fire, an unfamiliar voice begin to speak once again.

In order to survive a deathly situation, as one of her masters, you're given the rights to command her.

Yes, the very one who is within your little group with the desire to survive will grant you the key to unlock one of Poseidon's songs.

Makomo immediately glances over the now ginger headed girl, meeting eyes with each other at the very moment when she look her direction. Her bright emerald green eyes were filled with fear and anxiety, face paler as sweats begin to dropped across her forehead  ❛Reina...❜ Is it the right thing to do?

For a human to control a demon? The older sibling figure to take advantage of the younger one? Is this what she really wants to do? To survive and to kill her? To die in the hands of a demon and never become a hero?

❝Makochii!❞

❝Reina! Are you crazy?!❞

Heading towards her was the ginger headed demon ❝Run!❞ With pleading eyes, she avoided the incoming attacks from the hand demon trying to capture her from reaching the ravenette as Reina moved to the left, dodging the hand underneath her ❝I will distract him, just run!❞

❝You're kidding?! I'm not leaving you behind!❞ Makomo exclaimed reaching out towards her in instinct and at that very moment...

❝What is that light?!❞ Asuga shouted in disbelief.

❝What's...going on?❞ Whispering to himself, Sabito covered his eyes from the brightness as it's begin to glow brighter and stronger.

A faint blue light glow located in the heart of the ginger headed demon ❝Reina! Reina!❞ Makomo cried out, suddenly she feared that she was going to disappeared along with the light as she desperately reached out towards the young demon's hand ❝Makomo!❞

The light seems to consume them whole and a voice echo through the light...

❝Reina! Go for it!❞ Makomo exclaimed as the light begin to fade away giving her eyes to see clearly once again from the blinding light.

Reina closed her eyes ❝Song of Safety....❞ A melodious voice begin to echoing through the forest, it was a song. A song that she could save many lives. The song of a god that is meant to be wielded by a hero yet why a demon? Can a demon be acceptable by gods? It's quite a mystery question.

❛So this is the power of Poseidon's songs... ❜ She thought as Reina's voice sang through the darkness of the forest, soothing the hearts of the children nearby.

A transparent blue barrier appeared, surrounding the young demon slayers, blocking the attack of the hand demon's incoming multiple hands through the air from all directions to limited their options to dodge them all.

Makomo immediately glance around her, amazed by the barrier's symbols of the sea, a glance of the beauty of the sea world as little fishes were swimming gracefully with the sea plants and seashells were moving in a rotation manner. Now it was their chance to escape from there ❝Everyone, let's find our way through this together!❞

❝Is this happening because of Reina?!❞ Asuga shouted, glancing over the girl who was still singing the song with a barrier protecting her from harm.

❝Yes pretty much!❞

❝How did you hear that-Oh... I forgot you were a demon...sorry about that...❞

❝It's quite alright! And oh I hope you don't mind me doing this!❞

❝What do you mean by-❞

Wasting no time to stay there any longer, Reina quickly grabs the girl, lifting her off the ground as she twist her body to enchanted her strength slightly before throwing her towards the air ❝It's your turn now❞ She said, smiling at the two children who stared at her almost scared by her action just now.

❛Oh god, no no no no! I'm going to die at this point!❜ Asuga screamed as the wind blowing her hair harshly. As she fall from the sky, her brown eyes caught the sight of these racemes burst into great trails of clustered violent flowers. The wisteria flowers...

❝Hey, is that...❞

Asuga yelps, turning her head to her right only to see the peachy pink peachy headed male, clearly unhappy with the situation ❝Did she just-❞

❝Hello there, I'm here too!❞ a cute voice chipped as Asuga quickly turned to her left to see Makomo's smiling face ❝You too?!❞

❝How is the wind going for you?❞ Another voice joined in the conversation as a small shadow towering over them, grabbing each of them by their clothes.

❝Reina!❞ Asuga cried, clearly happy to see her.

❝You have warn us beforehand!❞ Sabito grumbled to himself as she almost chuckled at the sight of him ❝Thank me later! Hold on me if you want to live!❞ Not waiting for an answer, she begins to pulled them closer to her as they get closer and closer to the earth...

Upon reaching their destination, due to their impact caused brownish dust and dirt to float through the air as they landed almost harshly and slowly the dust begin to fade away, returning to the earth where they belong.

The first thing that caught their attention was the beautiful violent flowers above them, the sweet smell of these blossoms hit their noses as their eyes widen in disbelief.

❝We're... alive?❞
