Upon finding the dark blue zori sandals weren't found at its usual place, Reina immediately went to grabs her light blue ones, putting them on before running out of the house and onto the mountain in search  of the dark blue eyed male.

❝Yuuchii! Where are you?❞

Calling out throughout the forest, the moon was barely out for the eyes to see as dark clouds covered the remind of the moonlight by blocking the moon itself, it was quiet, too quiet for comfort.

❝If you're out there, please come out!❞

Receiving no response, the brunette was about to cries out for him once again.

❝Yuuchii-❞

She paused for a second.

❝What was that?❞

Since you lost your memories, I guess I have to teach you how to use your abilities. Now one of a Kishino's abilities is enchanted hearing even when you're in human form but it's weaker when it's compare to your true form.

❝Oh!❞

Remember her lesson with the voice, closing her eyes with her hands clenching into fists.

The sound of bell ringing was heard as she have evolved relatively rounded ears at the top of her head due to her bed hair that feature shaggy fur resembles an animal's which helps to keep her new found ears hidden. 

❝They're so tiny...❞

Touching them through her hair, she felt them perking up at the fading sound but thanks to her newfound ears, she could hear sounds from afar as clear as the ocean.

Ears perking up, the faint sound of water dropping onto the earth and a faint sound of wailing person were heard. Someone was crying in a place where danger can be lurking from any direction.

❝Yuuchii?!❞

Not giving a second thought if the person was someone else or the boy that she was meant to find, she immediately ran, following the sound as her guide.

The bare branches spiked into the sky, no sign of life to be found anywhere. It was so dark that Reina barely able to see where she was going. There were only small sounds of rustling bushes and the howl of the wind.

She didn't know what laid in the dark forest, all she knew was that it wasn't going to be a peaceful journey. The path at her feets fades as it leads into the darkness of the woods, yet follow it she must do it for the sake of finding the young male.

Somewhere in there is the answers she needs, and so her feets follow the narrow strip of naked earth among the giants of root and leaf. Reina let her hands touch the skin as the cold wind come passing by, shivering slightly as she sprinted forward when the sound was getting louder.

❝Yuuchii!❞

No matter how much she cries out for him in the dark, there was no sight of the boy. Her heartbeat was beating rapidly, limbs were growing weaker and sweats were dripping across her forehead.

A sudden soft rustling sound reached her ears which she snapped her head toward the bushes behind her, seeing something was hiding among the bushes. She was excepting a small animal or the wind that was messing with her mind.

Soft treads. Crunching of leaves. Play of the famous game of hide and seek by the fading wind and big trees.

Footsteps.

Oh no, panic strike her heart.

❝Wh-Who's there?❞

No response yet the soft treads continue on, echoing throughout the dark forest and it was close, too close for her comfort. This cause the girl to sprint forward, never once looking back as the sense of fear were creeping onto her skin slowly yet surely.

She didn't know when and why she was running towards, all she knows that she need to find him and get out of here before it's too late for them to escape from what was lurking in the shadows.

❝Yuuchii!❞

Her rounded ears starts perking up the familiar of crying and it was nearby, she immediately knows she has found him.

❝Yuuchii!❞

Behind the bushes, there stood the ravenette male, hiding in the middle of nowhere. He was unharmed and that's brought a sense of relief to the girl's heart.

❝There you are! Why are you doing here in the middle of the night?❞

Kneeling down next to him, she held a worried expression of her own as he finally look up, tears were gathering at the corners of his eyes and they were puffy red.

❝I... I don't know how I got here... All I remember was having a dream where Tsutako Nee-san and my parents were still alive...❞

❝What?❞

There was no way that he sleepwalk here right? A dumbfounded expression was plastered onto her face, trying to figure out what cause him to be here.

Now, it's not the time for daydream, moron! It was obvious he was lured here.

❛By what??❜

Ghouls. They're one of the same group as you are but you are their meal tonight since Kishinos are their favorite food.

❛I'm their WHAT?❜

Food?

❛I know that but why drag Yuuchii into this?!❜

Well duh, they're planning to eat both of you once you are captured by them.

❛We need to escape before they get us then but won't they easily catch up to us that way?!❜

Geez, calm down will you? If you survive till sunrise then you will be saved by the sun.

❛And what if we don't make it?!❜

Stop screaming inside your head, dammit! You could kill them off if you want but in your condition right now... You're pretty hopeless than a baby.

Well that's strike a nerve, veins were popping on her forehead as much as she wants to punch a tree till it's break, she has something better to do right now. Grabbing the hand of the boy as she help him stand up properly.

❝Yuuchii, let's go home, kay?❞

He slowly nods as she wipes the tears away, she want to warn him about the unknown lurking nearby and danger could be find anywhere around them yet she feels it was better to do so because it will give away her identity if she does and she doesn't want to lose the friendship that she tries so hard to build.

Now will they make it out alive before the unknown is upon them?
