客路青山外
行舟綠水前
潮平兩岸闊
風正一帆懸
海日生殘夜
江春入舊年
鄕書何處達
歸雁洛陽邊

The traveler's route goes past blue mountains
A wandering boat winds along blue water
The current is smooth and the river wide
And wind just right for raising a sail
Over the sea the sun rises from sinking night
Around us the river sprung from last year
How can my letter reach home?
On the leg of a goose bound for Luoyang
