Who are you...?
Lee Everett entered the cab of the train, his eyes immediately landing on his friend who sat in front of the controls, staring blankly ahead. Taking a deep breath, Lee readied himself for what he knew wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation
LEE: Kenny...
KENNY: ...
Lee frowned, having received nothing in the way of an answer. The only sound that followed were those of the train as it clattered along the tracks, the rhythmic clinks and clanks filling the tense silence between the two men. He needed to get through to Kenny one way or another before this became an even bigger issue...
LEE: Stop the train
KENNY: ...
Once again, he'd be met with silence. Lee clutched the blood stained rag in his hand in frustration. Time was running out, and every second they spent not taking care of the problem put everyone on the train at risk. It was clear to Lee that words weren't going to work. Lee lightened his grip upon the rag before presenting it to Kenny...
KENNY: The hell is that, Lee?
LEE: It's your son's blood, Kenny...
Kenny frowned as he grit his teeth
KENNY: Get the fuck outta here, Lee
LEE: Goddammit Kenny, Duck's dying! Stop the fucking train, man!
KENNY: Stop the train, when we're almost there!? No... No fuckin' way. It was a fuckin' scratch alright? He'll be fine. You all are all just... overreacting
Lee shook his head slowly
LEE: That could be the case... or maybe you're just in denial
KENNY: Fuck you!
Lee closed his eyes for a moment, trying to control his emotions. He knew all too well what Kenny was going through...
LEE: It's time to face the facts, Kenny. I'm sorry...
Kenny's anger had finally boiled over. Standing up, he was now face to face with Lee. The expression on Kenny's face told Lee everything he needed to know. The man's face told a story, a mixture of sadness, regret, and guilt, all of these emotions hidden behind a thick wall of anger.
KENNY: And just what the fuck would you know... huh!? Unlike you, that kid back there is actually mine, not that fuckin' sham you're runnin. The fuck you know about losing a kid!?
LEE: ...!
It took an immense amount of willpower on Lee's end to not lash out at the man's slight. He'd lost control before, and it cost him everything, but not again...
LEE: You've been blaming yourself for what happened to that kid at Hershel's farm this entire time...
The thick wall of anger Kenny had worn like armor started to crack. Kenny's shoulders slumped, and his face contorted with a mix of anguish and guilt. Seeing this, Lee continued...
LEE: Right now I'm willing to bet that deep down, you've felt like you had this coming for a long time
Looking away, Kenny could feel a warm tear rolling down his cheek. He didn't respond to Lee's words, but his silence spoke volumes.
LEE: Shawn... that's the name of my son.
Kenny looked to Lee, taken aback by the man's sudden revelation...
LEE: I try no to think about him, or my wife, but every time I try to let go, something reminds me of them. So when I sat there watching Hershel's son getting ripped apart I just...
Lee took a deep breath before continuing
LEE: So yeah, I know exactly what it's like to lose a son...
LEE: To lose a Brother...
LEE: A mother, and a father...
[Art by - WakaMars]
LEE: To lose everything...
Kenny's shoulders slumped, slowly but surely, the situation was finally starting to set in. He hadn't the words to describe what he was currently feeling. Kenny knew what needed to be done, and reluctantly, he pulls the throttle, and the train comes to a halt...
KENNY: I'm so sorry...
LEE: Don't be, I talk a huge game, but... I don't know what I'd do if I were in your situation right now
Lee then stepped aside as Kenny made his way out of the cab
[KENNY (Narrating): The worst day of my entire life, was when I lost Katjaa, and Duck. I look back at that day all the time, and everytime I do, I remember...]
LEE: Give me the gun, Ken. I'll do it...
[KENNY (Narrating): I remember, how you did what I couldn't... helpin' me put Duck down and all. Though now that I think about it, you've always had my back, Lee, since the start...]
*BANG!*
- Present -
The echoing sound of the gunshot jolted Kenny awake from his place on the moving truck's floor, it felt as though he'd been... knocked out?
KENNY: *Grunt* What the hell hit me...?
From behind, Carlos replied
CARLOS: Hopefully some common sense
Kenny was about to make a wise-ass retort of his own, but it was clear that he and the others had arrived at their destination, if the truck coming to a complete stop was anything to go by. Carlos and the others, save for Clementine, Kenny, and Sarita, looked to the floor with solemn expressions as they stood...
CARLOS: Look's like we're here
Rebecca started to tear up, her current predicament causing her to feel powerless, and in turn, the world around her becoming that much more... hopeless
ALVIN: You don't need to worry, Bec. I'll make sure he doesn't do anything to you
Rebecca shook her head
REBECCA: It's not me you need to be worried about Alvin...
Clementine's eyes narrowed at her restrained wrists
CLEMENTINE: I'm starting to think that maybe Kenny had the right idea
KENNY: See...?
Carlos frowned
CARLOS: Don't be ridiculous, Clementine. Even you're smarter than that. They have have guns. Very. Large. Guns, and they know how to use them
Kenny scoffed
[KENNY (Narrating): Shit like this is exactly what I'm talkin' about. You were the only person I knew that was just as stubborn as me. Thing about that is, you were also smarter than me, Lee, by a mile. Times like this I really do wish you were here, but you're not...]
TROY: Goddamn brakes, I swear to god they don't work for shit
Once again, Kenny was taken from his thoughts as he heard voices coming from outside the truck. His attention, along with all the others, were drawn to the back of the truck as it was opened, revealing Troy, Rebecca, and another woman whom the group hadn't been introduced to as of yet. All three stood holding their guns at the ready...
TAVIA: Alright people, up and at 'em
Troy squinted his eyes as he began inspecting the group he now dubbed "The Runaways" though his attention was immediately drawn to something much more noticeable
TROY: The fuck? How'd you get your restraints off? Oh no, I ain't about to have Bill jumpin' down my throat over this bullshit. C'mere asshole
Kenny would love nothing more than to deck this guy in the face with all his might, but then he'd be dead and that wouldn't have solved anything. Stepping forward, he noticed the look of concern etched onto Clementine's face...
KENNY: Don't worry about me, Clementine. You go on ahead
[KENNY (Narrating): And then I have to remind myself, that you're not here anymore, are you, Lee...?]
TROY: I don't have anything to restrain you, but if you're smart then you'll move like it, and if you're dumb then everyone of us won't hesitate to light your ass up like a Christmas tree... now get to steppin'
Doing as he was told, Kenny quickly caught up to Clementine and the others as they were marched through what appeared to be a giant hardware store...
CARVER (Over PA System): We've got some familiar faces back with us tonight...
Both Clementine and Kenny looked up as Carver's voice echoed throughout the building
KENNY: (Sarcastically) Oh... great
CARVER (Over PA System): Now, I understand some of you are confused as to why we'd bring these people back when they left us the way they did... killing our comrade and all
ALVIN: (Under his breath) I swear he loves the sound of his own voice
Tavia frowned, having heard Alvin's comment
TAVIA: I've got an idea
Alvin's eyes widened as he turned to see the scowl being shot his way by Tavia. He quickly turned away feeling an immense weight on his shoulders...
CARVER (Over PA System): It might not come all at once, but time will heal these wounds. So be patient with them until it does... and take solace in knowing that they're here to help us make our home a better place. All these feelings you have of anger, betrayal, hate. They're all valid. No one needs to forget what they did... but we do have to find it in our hearts to forgive them
CLEMENTINE: ...Woah
It was then that Clementine spotted the absurd amounts of food, medical supplies and other equipment that was secured by Carver's community over the last couple of years...
CLEMENTINE: That's a lot of stuff
Kenny shook his head
KENNY: Oh no, don't you start drinkin' the Kool-Aid too
Though, even if he wouldn't say it out loud, Kenny himself was a little impressed by the sheer amount of food on display...
CARVER (Over PA System): As many of you already know, a large herd of lurkers gathers just south of us. We've kept an eye on the movements, and, well, with any luck, it's just passing through. But rest assured that if it does turn our way, it's nothing we can't handle
SHEL: Troy, Tavia... hold on just a second
The group stopped as both Tavia and Troy turned to face Shel
TAVIA: What's up?
Shel looked over the "Runaways" until her eye fell on Carlos
SHEL: I need to borrow the doctor for a moment
SARAH: No!
Placing a hand on his daughters head, Carlos looked down to her and began to speak...
CARLOS: It's alright, Sarah (Turning to Shel) Is there any chance it could wait? We're all very tired and--
SHEL: You can rest later... I need you. It's... It's about my sister
Carlos squinted
CARLOS: Is she sick...?
Shel's face fell as crossed her arms
SHEL: I don't... *Sigh* no, but... look, just follow me, okay?
It wasn't as though Carlos had much of a choice. Once again, he turned to face his daughter. The meek girl silently pleaded to her father to stay, but unfortunately...
CARLOS: Just make sure to do whatever they say, Sarah. I'll be back soon
Breaking away from his daughter's tight grip on his arm, the man followed behind Shel as they departed from the others. Sarah began to fidget, almost freezing in place as the others continued onward. Seeing this, Clementine sighed, remembering her promise...
SARAH: ...!?
Sarah nearly yelped as she felt someone grab onto her hand. Her fears would immediately subside as she turned to see who it was, only to be met with Clementine's hazel eyes...
CLEMENTINE: It's going to be okay. Just keep moving forward, and you'll be fine
The look in the younger girl's eye was fierce, yet comforting. For a moment, it felt as though her father had never really left. That phrase however, "Keep Moving Forward" She'd heard that before...
SARAH: Y-Yeah... okay
CARVER (Over PA System): Some of you have voiced your concerns about the need for expansion with the looming threat. And they have been taken into consideration. However, this is not up for debate. The expansion project will continue as scheduled...
The group finally reached their destination, what used to be the Gardening/Lawn area now turned into a giant holding area for any new recruits or anyone that was foolish enough to cross Carver. A large metal bay door is what would separate them from the rest of the store. Bonnie began opening it, though it was clear she lacked the physical strength necessary. Troy rolled his eyes before marching over to help the woman, shoving her out of the way and opening the door himself. Bonnie turns and faces Nick and the others before speaking...
BONNIE: This is where you all are gonna stay until Bill says otherwise. There's plenty of space. oh and beds too
Nick scoffed as he stepped forward, passing by the woman
NICK: Gee, thanks... "Claudia"
The remark shook Bonnie to the core as she looked to the ground in shame. The various "Runaways" entered the holding area after Nick...
CARVER (Over PA System): ...but with all this added manpower joining or, re-joining us this evening, I have no doubt that we will continue to grow, and prosper. It's no longer enough to just survive, it's our obligation to make this community a beacon of hope. To provide a light... a bright light. Bright enough to shine in all this darkness. So that's exactly what we'll do...
- Elsewhere -
CARVER: ...After all, it's what we owe to all of our fallen...
*Click*
Having said his piece, Carver turned off the PA system. Peering through the window of his office, Carver watched the various members of his community as they went about their business. Years worth of hard work paired with multiple set backs were beginning to take a toll on the man. Everything he did, he did for the betterment and safety of those he cared deeply for, even if they couldn't appreciate what was right in front of them. Though a tad bit delusional, Carver wasn't ignorant of reality...
CARVER: (Painfully)*Grunt*
Carver grimaced in pain as he clutched and began to nurse his right hand. The reality being, he wouldn't stay in control forever. Everyone had a clock, and with the world in the state that it was, meant that the clock ticked even louder, and faster each day. He didn't need to beat this world, he just needed to live long enough to see his vision through, one way, or another...
CARVER: I was hoping that Twinkie would keep you at bay for at least a little while longer. I know you're mad, but you have to reali--
SHAWN: Realize what? That you still think I'm just some stupid kid? I can handle myself, you've seen me do it before--
CARVER: I saw you get shot!
Carver took a moment to collect himself after his outburst. Calming himself, the man continued
CARVER: I know, that you can handle a fuck-ton more than any kid your age. Hell, sometimes you put the adults around here to shame, but as much as you hate hearing it, let me reiterate... You're still a kid
Shawn's fist tightened at the man's words
CARVER: Dutch taught you how to fight, that's it. Knowing how to fight and knowing which fights to pick are two different things entirely...
SHAWN: That's not true, I can-- ughh!
Shawn's eyes widened, and he could hear the pounding of his own heartbeat in his chest. It happened so fast that the boy was barely able to process what had happened. Carver, despite his age, now had the eleven-year-old child pinned to the ground, lifting his head up by a handful of his curly hair with his knife pressed against Shawn's throat...
CARVER: This is exactly my point. See, I for one, am of the opinion that a child, should stay in a child's place. If I were some random fuckin' bandit, what would stop me from splittin' your throat...?
Shawn grit his teeth and tried desperately to move, but his efforts were in vain. No matter what he did, Carver's strength proved to much for the child to handle. Tears began to form in Shawn's eyes as he continued to struggle. The countless times he and Dutch had put into strengthening began to feel useless...
CARVER: Useless... Yeah... I'm willing to bet you feel pretty damn useless, eh squirt? Like everything you've done up until now meant jack-shit. Maybe I was a bit too soft on you, or maybe you mistook my kindness for weakness. Make no mistake, I respect the hell outta you squirt, but that's about it. It's a shame that Dutch never got around to teaching you this lesson, but allow me to pick up where he left off...
Taking the knife away from his protege's throat, Carver sheathed it before standing up...
CARVER: Learn to pick your battles
Shawn lay there, his breaths coming in ragged gasps, tears streaming down his cheeks. The weight of his helplessness bore down on him. Carver's words echoed in his mind, and despite the anger boiling within him, Shawn couldn't help but feel a tinge of shame...
CARVER: Don't just lay there. Get up
Slowly, the boy stood to his feet, wiping away the tears that cascaded down his cheeks before staring at the ground in shame. For just a few moments, Carver wondered if he'd gone a tad bit too far. Nevertheless, his lesson wasn't yet over. Taking a knee, Carver placed both his hands on the boy's shoulders
CARVER: Look at me
SHAWN: ...
CARVER: ...Shawn
Shawn hesitated but eventually lifted his gaze to meet Carver's stern eyes. His own eyes were still glistening with unshed tears, but he did his best to maintain a semblance of composure...
CARVER: You want to help people, I get that. You want to keep the ones you love, alive, even if it's for just a little while longer, I get that. But... you can't exactly do that, if you're dead, now can you...?
Shawn shook his head slowly
CARVER: One of these days, I'm not gonna be around anymore...
SHAWN: ...!
CARVER: So I want you to remember this, for as long as you live. What you just felt, remember that. That feeling of being powerless. You won't always be this small, one day, you'll look up, and you'll be a man, and you'll be stronger than I ever was... and when that day comes, you'll be able to take on anyone, or anything
Carver then stood
CARVER: Now, I think it's about time we went and introduced ourselves to the new recruits...
The boy raised a brow
SHAWN: New?
- Meanwhile -
RAJEEV: So like I said before, it was a total accident on my part...
Nick frowned, not being able to take his eyes away from the stump where his friends left arm once was...
NICK: The hell happened...?
RAJEEV: I was out gathering herbs and other ingredients for dinner, Bill wanted curry, and without you, Luke, or Pete here...
Nick buried his face in both hands as Rebecca spoke up
REBECCA: We should have taken you with us...
Rajeev shook his head
RAJEEV: No, I'd have only slowed you down, and plus... hmm?
Rajeev stopped as he noticed a bit of movement in his peripheral. Turning, his eyes fell on a young girl yanking on one of the wooden panels keeping them all caged in...
RAJEEV: Hey... little girl... could you please stop that?
Clementine huffed before stepping away from the fence with both her hands up in an exaggerated motion. Her defiance, though subtle, was evident in her eyes...
KENNY: Relax, she's just making sure the place is... secure
Rajeev locked eyes with Clementine for a few minutes before turning back to Kenny
RAJEEV: How can I relax when she's screwing around with everything?
Clementine watched from a distance as Kenny continued try to keep Rajeev distracted. She'd grown tired of being confined against her will. First, by a family of deranged cannibals, then by a stranger who claimed to know her parents, then a shed, Ironically, by the same people she was travelling with...
KENNY: So, how'd you end up with a name like Reggie
SARITA: Kenny!
RAJEEV: It's okay... it's uh, actually a funny story. See, on my first day in the U.S., I stopped and got a coffee, and the girl behind the counter asked me my name, so I told her, "It's Rajeev," then I just stood there while a guy yelled "Reggie" for five minutes. And that's when I thought, "I should really get out ahead of this." Bill and the others always found it funny *Sigh* so it stuck...
As Kenny and Rajeev's conversed, Clementine continued her search for any flaws in the holding area, but it was clear that whoever came up with the design of this place put a lot of thought into it...
Clementine huffed in frustration
CLEMENTINE: (Under her breath) Shit
????: (Whispering) You're an active one, aren't you...?
CLEMENTINE: ...?
Clementine's search had lead her to a corner section of the holding area, next to the beds. Turning her head, she locked eyes with a young Caucasian woman, a brunette with short hair...
CLEMENTINE: (Whispering) I guess you could say that... I just don't like being locked up. This is like, the third or fourth time it's happened to me
The woman nodded in understanding
YOUNG WOMAN: (Whispering) Fool me once, right kid? Maybe if you'd have been a bit less trusting, the amount of times you get locked up would start get lower...
Clementine frowned, but... the woman was right. Clementine began to think back to all the times she could have ditched the group and braved the world on her own. Though, something about her up and ditching the people she cared about didn't sit right with her
JANE: (Whispering) The name's Jane
The girl paused for a moment, but decided that sharing a name wasn't that big of a deal
CLEMENTINE: ...Clementine, Clementine Marsh
Jane smiled
JANE: So formal. Nice to meet you... *Marsh* but look, if I were you, I'd hold off for now. Trust me, I want out just as much, but rushing in without a plan usually gets people killed
CLEMENTINE: (Whispering) So what!? I'm just supposed to let myself stay a prisoner?
Jane shook her head
JANE: That's not what I'm saying at all. Just play along for now, use your head, play it safe. Someone will slip up, say or do something that might give you the opening you're looking for
It was then that both Clementine and Jane's attention would be drawn by the sound of the holding area's door opening. In stepped William Carver with Troy and Tavia standing alongside him with their guns at the ready. The man chuckled, shaking his head before speaking...
CARVER: You two can relax, these people would have to be a special kind of stupid to try anything. (Turning to the cabin group) Good evening...
Rebecca scowled
CARVER: After... "Recent Events" I'm sure you're all a bit shooken' up, angry even. Hell, I bet a couple of you would like nothing more than to run up and sock me right in the--
*THWACK!*
Everyone froze, their hearts pounding in there chest as they watched Carver stumble back, if only a couple of paces. Rubbing his jaw, Carver nodded, slightly impressed at the force behind the blow...
*Click*
Troy would immediately aim his weapon at Rebecca's head. Seeing this, Alvin stood in between the man and his wife...
TROY: Just give me the word boss, and I'll put holes in the both of 'em
Carver dismissively waved his hand in a shooing motion
CARVER: Pulling that trigger would only get you killed, besides...
Carver turned to face the woman responsible for the blow
CARVER: That there was nothing more than a love tap. That being said, it won't go unpunished. First things first though... the rules
Looking over the group of deserters, Carver began sizing each of them up. Most of them he'd already come to know, and from what he could tell, their little vacation outside of his community hadn't toughened any of them up. However, two of them would catch his eye, a young girl sporting a baseball cap, and the one responsible for the death of one of his men.
CARVER: Up until now you've all struggled to survive out there on your own, running from herds of the undead, evading bandits, searching for food-- for scraps, hoping that you might live to see another day, but I've got good news for you. That ends, today. What I'm creating here, well... it's a goddamn paradise. It might not seem like it now, but then again, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is this new world. The difference is, this paradise is within our reach. It's a chance to rebuild society, to bring back civilization, and all I ask in return is your cooperation.
Kenny narrowed his eyes. No matter how much Carver spat up words of "hope" and "rebuilding" He'd never forget the sickeningly gleeful expression the man wore as he put a bullet in Walter's head. Kenny's ire for the man standing only a few feet in front of him would take a backseat, as a young boy stepped forward...
KENNY: ...!?
Carver smirked as he looked down at the boy before turning his attention back toward the group, who were just a stunned
CARVER: For the uninitiated, I'd like to introduce you to my protégé... Shawn
Nick shook his head in disbelief
NICK: I-- I thought you were...
Shawn balled his fist as head looked to the ground, his conflicting emotions running rampant. On one hand, he was happy, elated even, to see the one's he called family back where they belonged... safe. However, another felt a sense of anger and resentment for them, for leaving him half dead during their "Not so graceful" departure from Howe's the first time around. Carver could feel that the more "Forgiving" side of the boy's personality was rearing it's head. To prevent that from resurfacing, Carver placed a hand on Shawn's shoulder before speaking...
CARVER: ...Dead? Far from it actually. If that had been the case then rest assured a lot of you wouldn't be alive right now. Luckily, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger... (Turning to look at Shawn) Right, squirt?
Shawn's eyes narrowed as he turned to face the group
SHAWN: That's right
As Carver continued, Kenny couldn't take his eyes off of Shawn. It was the second time within the last thirty or so hours, where he thought he'd gone completely mad. Clementine followed the man's gaze, her eyes landing on the face of the boy in front of her. The boy had a familiar air about him, a feeling she couldn't quite place, but it was there nonetheless...
CLEMENTINE: (Whispering) Kenny...?
KENNY: ...
The lack of response only served to confirm the girl's suspicions. There was something about this kid "Shawn" something that was enough to make Kenny of all people utterly speechless...
SHAWN: If you've got something to say, then say it already... and stop staring at me like that, it's weird
Following Shawn's gaze, Carver turned to face Kenny who would immediately snap out of his stupor...
KENNY: I'm... I'm sorry it's just... you look like... someone I used to know
Shawn raised a brow before Carver spoke up
CARVER: So I guess I'll go ahead and say the most important bit of information *Again* since it seems that some of you are a little... slow, on the uptake.
Smacking his hand on Shawn's back, Carver smiled
CARVER: Starting tomorrow, you all will be given task. These "Task" will range from managing our greenhouse, Keeping stock of our supplies, the whole nine yards. Troy and Shawn will be my eyes and ears, making sure you all stay in line...
Troy smirked
CARVER: ...And Shawn will be in charge of it all
Troy wasn't drinking anything at the moment, but if he was, he'd have to do a spit-take upon hearing Carver's announcement. Shawn's own eyes widened as he looked up at Carver who didn't bother to return the boy's gaze. Instead, Carver continued his speech with a grin...
CARVER: I can see the varying looks of concern, but trust me, underestimating the next generation will prove to be a grave mistake. That gun on his hip isn't just for show, and when I tell you that this kid is quick on the draw, you'd do well to take my word for it. These children of ours will one day inherit this gruesome and unforgiving world years after we're all six-feet deep. They're survivors...
Shawn huffed and looked away, he didn't like being put on the spot like that in the slightest. It was then that Shawn's green eyes met a pair of hazel ones. Shawn and Clementine stood staring at one another for a few seconds, but them it felt like minutes as they sized each other up...
SHAWN (Thoughts): Why does it feel like I've seen her somewhere before...?
Clementine squinted
CLEMENTINE (Thoughts): I don't think I've ever seen Kenny speechless before, well, not since Duck and Katjaa anyway...
Shawn blushed slightly but tried keeping a straight face
SHAWN (Thoughts): Wow, she's... got really pretty eyes... and that look, it reminds me of mom... kinda scary
Clementine folded her arms, nothing about the boy in front of her was adding up, but for some reason he was becoming more and more of an enigma.
SHAWN/CLEMENTINE (Thoughts): Who are you...?
The tense atmosphere hung thick in the air as Clementine and Shawn exchanged glances, each one seemingly trying to decipher the other. Their unspoken thoughts danced between them, creating a silent connection that transcended the words they hadn't yet shared...
CARVER: Oh, and before I forget...
Carver casually walks up to the group with a smile before...
*THWACK!*
Without warning, Carver put all his weight into one strike, a sickening crunch echoed through the holding area as his closed fist collided with an unsuspecting Alvin's face. The sheer force of the blow sent the man and his glasses sprawling to the ground, blood trickling from his now broken nose
REBECCA: ALVIN!
Rebecca shouted in panic as she rushed over to her husband's side
CARVER: Like I said before... it wouldn't go unpunished
Rebecca and Sarita set about tending to Alvin's nose as Carver spoke
CARVER: Make sure you all get plenty of rest. You've got a busy schedule tomorrow and you don't wanna see what I do to people who half ass their task. A broken nose will be the least of your worries, believe me
Carver yawned as he turned and began walking past Shawn, Troy, and Tavia
CARVER: Let's go...
As Carver left the room, accompanied by Troy and Tavia, Shawn watched him closely, his expression unreadable. Clementine's gaze lingered on Shawn for a moment longer before he too, followed them back inside the building
SARITA: Clementine, help me stop the bleeding
CLEMENTINE: ...Right
A/N: And, Scene! This is the first of many uploads soon to come. I'll be releasing these chapters in a huge batch, so if you're wondering why it took so long, there's your explanation. Debating on whether or not I should make "Who are you...?" a multipart like I did for "In harms way" oh well, that's future Le'andro's problem...
