The apocalypse has taken a toll on Y/N. He has hurt too much and lost too many. He is hard and dark and cold, will kill without a moment's pause, and terrifies almost everyone who meets him. The sole exception is his girlfriend, Clementine. She is all he has left and he will burn what remains of this broken world to the ground to protect her.

Clementine Marsh

Clementine has been greatly affected by the acts done to her family since the end of season 2. She and Y/N have been alone for the better part of a year, never stopping, always running.

While Y/N turned hard and cold, Clementine worked through her grief, clinging to Y/N as her rock. She fully understands this world now, the evils in it, and she knows that Y/N's shoot first ask questions later attitude is the only way he knows how to live now.

She knows the Y/N she fell in love with, the protector and leader and guardian that he was is still inside. She is determined to bring it back out. In the meantime she is grateful to have the meanest motherfucker to ever walk God's green earth as her boyfriend.

Javier Garcia
Age: 32
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 210lbs

Javier Garcia, known as Javi to his friends, is a former professional baseball player and playboy who threw it all away by gambling on himself, prior to the apocalypse, earning a lifetime ban.

Javi was reckless and irresponsible, much to the chagrin of his elder brother, This attitude and behaviour led to Javi unbelievably missing his own father's passing, on the night of the rising of the dead, despite being only miles from the family home. He arrived in time for his father to reanimate, his mother to get bitten, and he to get separated from his brother along with his brother's wife and children.

The apocalypse forced Javi to grow up and face responsibility, and there is nothing he wouldn't do for his niece, his nephew, and his... Kate.

Kate Garcia
Age: 29
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 120lbs

Kate is the wife of Javi's brother, David, who was separated from the family right at the start of the apocalypse.

She is kind and caring, and has grown to love her step children dearly, despite the pain in the arse her stepson can be.

She is also extremely blunt and to the point, and will not hesitate to give her opinion when she feels it's needed.

Gabriel Garcia
Age: 15
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 150lbs

Gabriel, or Gabe for short, is a typical pre-apocalypse coddled, self absorbed teenager. He has been cared for by Kate and Javi since the start of the apocalypse and has never had to do a thing for himself. He has an air of self importance and quickly becomes enamoured with Clementine after the family meet the couple.

Mariana Garcia
Age: 16
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 110lbs

Mariana Garcia is a sweet, kind and happy girl, who despite the apocalypse, is grateful for her family, and small joys like a chocolate bar.

Despite the love she has for her family, her temper often gets frayed with her brother's self indulgent attitude and behaviour.

She is in many ways too good for this fallen world.

A/N: Season 2 is almost at an end and season 3 will begin after that. Just an FYI this book will not focus on the background of the Garcia family like the game did, they will merely be characters in Y/N and Clementine's story.
