Dr. Jenner told us to take showers and come eat dinner. So after that, I went to go explore. I turned a lot of corners, and noticed that some hallways were pitch black, which made me a little nervous.  I walked past those, and entered a room labeled "Lab". I looked around at the spotless room. And the my eyes landed on a cage.

Many cages. Some contained people, others animals. The worst parts? They were all zombies, and the boards over the doors all said, "Test Subjects". I walked over to the table next to the cages, and looked at the file open. It had many numbers and charts, and I flipped through it.

I found a paper that had a diagram of the human body, the infected human body, and their differences and similarities. Another pager explained all the infected body could do, in comparison of the human body, and why no wounds besides hitting the brain seemed to affect it. I heard footsteps, so I grabbed the file and ran.

I turned a corner, and ducked behind a table. A flashlight cut through the darkness, and swiveled around, searching the room. Then it clicked off, and lights lit up the room.

I took off running as fast as I could, and ran back to the room I shared with Carol and Sophia. I stuffed the file in my pack, and lay down quickly. I didn't realize how tired I was until I was laying down. My eyes shut, and I fell asleep.
