"Y/N!!!" Ashido cried, pouncing on the girl, who was just walking to school. Y/N let out a strangled cry before falling over, hissing in pain. "Oh my gosh, Y/N, I'm so sorry!!" Ashido exclaimed, covering her mouth. "I-it's fine, sweetie." Y/N said through gritted teeth as she gripped her arm. "Are you OK?" Ashido asked, worry and concern evident on her face. 

"I'm fine, Mina. Really." Y/N said, forcing a convincing smile onto her face. Ashido hugged her girlfriend, then skipped off. When Ashido had gone ahead, Y/N took off her jacket and looked at her arms, which were bleeding. 

"I need to bandage these better. I can't have these opening up every time I fall." Y/N muttered, pushing her sleeves back down. 

3 hours later...

"Y/N, let's go somewhere!!!" Ashido whined, grabbing Y/N's arm. The latter girl hissed in surprise and pain, but the pink girl either didn't seem to notice or care. As Ashido dragged Y/N to the front of the school, Y/N's sleeve ripped, as the girl's arm had slipped out of Ashido's hand long ago. 

When the sleeve ripped, Ashido pitched forward, and Y/N stumbled backward, her sleeves stained red. Before Y/N could make any kind of move to hide her bloody sleeves, Ashido was already up and facing the girl still sitting on the ground. "Y-Y/N?" Ashido stuttered, seeing droplets of blood fall through the saturated sleeves. 

For a moment, time stood totally still as the girls looked at each other, tears welling up in Ashido's eyes. "W-" Before Ashido could even stutter out a word, Y/N was up and halfway across the schoolyard, blood running down her arm, her body surrounded by an azure aura, which was flickering wildly. 

Ashido struggled to comprehend what she'd just seen, while Y/N raced home as fast as she could. As she ran, glowing marks began to appear in her legs and face. When she finally reached her destination and deactivated her Quirk, the marks on her legs flashed, and turned into deep, but non-fatal cuts. Y/N locked the door behind her and began to sob loudly, dropping to her knees. 

20 minutes later...

As Y/N continued to cry, someone began to beat on the door. Y/N's cries ceased instantly. "Y/N? It's me, Midoriya." The green-haired student called. As Y/N stood to let the boy in, Ashido burst in. "Y/N!!!" She cried, racing toward the girl. Y/N, startled, and not wanting to speak to Mina, put up an azure barrier, blocking off most of the house. "Y/N! Y/N, sweetie, please! Let me in, I just want to help you!" Ashido cried, tears streaming down her face. "NO! I DON'T WANT YOUR HELP!!!" Y/N screeched, the barrier darkening. Ashido pounded on the energy wall, to no avail. "Y/N, baby, please! Please don't do this to yourself!!!" Mina shrieked as the barrier went black.

When Mina dropped to her knees, Midoriya helped her up. Right before they could leave, however, a small, shaky voice pierced the darkness. 

"I want to break up with you, Mina. This isn't your problem anymore...." Y/N said sadly. Ashido's black and yellow eyes filled with tears, and she slumped forward, like all the bones in her body had simply disappeared. "W-why...?" Ashido sobbed. "Because I'm just dead weight. You said so yourself, the other day..." Y/N cried. As Ashido whirled to deny it, a row of dark thorns and horrifically disfigured creatures began to form on the doorstep and in the yard, but none of them left the property.  

"Go away, or they'll kill you." Y/N said simply, before the door slammed shut. 

3 months later...

"M-Mina, are you alright?" Midoriya asked his girlfriend of 3 weeks, Ashido. "I'm fine, Izuku." Ashido chirped happily. Her eyes, however, told a different story. "I know you aren't, Mina." Midoriya said. "What's wrong?" Mina looked at him. "She called me, yesterday." 

Y/N. 

"She said she wanted to-" Mina cut herself off. "WE HAVE TO TELL THE TEACHERS!!!!" Mina screamed, racing into the teacher's lounge. 

30 minutes later...

"Y/N L/N!!! COME OUT NOW!!!" All Might shouted. 

No response. 

The thorns and creatures had vanished seconds after the heroes had arrived, and Mina was worried, because she knew how Y/N's Quirk worked. "If I'm ever knocked out, or worse, my Quirk will cease to function offensively, and will only function within a few feet of me in the form of thorns." Y/N had said. "We need to get inside!" Mina cried, racing past the heroes and melting the door. 

"Y/N!!! Y/N, COME OUT! PLEASE!!!" Mina wailed. Midoriya joined her, along with most of Class 1-A, and the teachers. Finally, the only room left was the girl's room. Mina took a deep breath, and opened the door and looked inside the room. 

What she saw made her vomit. 

Midoriya shoved the door open, and All Might broke through the wall. And the entire class saw. 

The entirety of the class saw Y/N L/N, the brightest person in their class, hanging from the ceiling, a rope around her neck, and her blood on the walls. 

Several students could do nothing but stare, as others began to vomit or cry. Mina herself did nothing but cry after she vomited. Midoriya held the girl as she wailed, and eventually, everyone left, leaving Mina alone. All Might had pulled Midoriya away, telling him that Mina should be alone for a little bit. 

"Y/N....why?" Mina sobbed. Y/N's pale corpse offered no reply. Mina slowly stood up, and walked into Y/N's room. On the floor, there was a folded up note. It had Mina's name on it. 

The pink girl opened the note and read it. 

Dear Mina,

I know. I'm sorry for what I've done to you, sweetpea. But I was hurting. I was hurting so, so, so much. I was happy with you. I truly was. And then we had that fight against Bakugou, and you called me dead weight. I know you didn't mean it, but that hurt me. I started cutting. And when you found out...I couldn't handle it. I needed to die. So I did. I love you, Mina. If you want, come join me. But please, make sure you say your goodbyes. 

Love, Y/N L/N.

And Mina opened Y/N's closet. There was another noose, with a tag on it. 'For Mina.' It said. 

Mina left it where it hung, and left the house. "I love you, Y/N..." She whispered, before dropping to the ground, and crying, producing heart-wrenching sobs. 

3 years later...

"Hey, Y/N. Izuku and I got married today....I'm sorry you couldn't be there for it..." Mina said, tearing up as she stood at her former girlfriend's grave. Izuku came back with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, and a picture of Mina with Y/N. He placed both things at the headstone, then took Mina's hand. "We're gonna name our child after you, Y/N. Has a nice ring to it, Y/N Midoriya." Mina smiled gently. She then kissed the gravestone. "I miss you..." Mina whispered, before she and Izuku left the cemetery.  

As they did so, a small, azure flower sprouted, and little azure vines ensure the picture would never move from its new place. 

"Thank you, Mina...." Y/N said, watching the two leave. 

"I miss you too...."
