1 ~ A Voidwalker's True Power
(Where it talks about the different builds, if I got any of the placements wrong, please let me know!)
X I S U M A V O I D
We finally got to season 10! I can't believe I've been an admin for this group of misfits for nine seasons now. We weren't just friends. We were a family. It was especially true for a few.
Cleo and False acted like sisters, Keralis acted like 'Papa K', when TFC was still here, he acted like a grandpa of sorts, Gem and sometimes Stress acts like mother hens, Pearl and Grian act like brother and sister. Even Joe is a therapist for us.
Most of my hermits are a special case where myself or one of the others have rescued them from somewhere. Most are a hybrid of some sort.
Currently, I'm sitting at Keralis's modern house along with the others. Why the heck the universe decided to plonk the infinity portal smack dab in the center of his storage room, I don't know. Nor do I think I ever want to.
I'm sitting silent listening to Beef and Joe talking to me while Bdubs and Doc bicker in the background, Zed, Tango and Grian are pelting False, Mumbo and Cub with cheeseballs, and Hypno and Jevin talking about a sad thing. Known as Biffa's and Welsknight's disappearance.
When I heard about it, I tried everything I could to bring them back but to no avail. Their player codes didn't exist witch worried me. It still did.
"So what do you think, X?" The brunette asked. I looked over at him and realized I wasn't paying attention to what Joe was saying. So I just nodded a bit. I blinked.
Scar then rushed over to me. "So X? Were we getting a new hermit?" Some of the others looked over expectedly at me.
I put my finger over my helmet where my mouth is. "I can't say anything yet," I said in a sing songy voice. "Although there is only one hermit who I think will be more excited over everyone else. That's all I'll say." I giggled a bit.
Out of the corner of the eye, I saw Hypno and Jevin. Their expressions. I knew they were both going to be destroyed.
I heard the portal activate. I clapped to get everyone's attention.
"Before we leave to season 10, there is a new hermit. One that someone in this crowd of hermits will be very happy to have here. So, without delay, let's go!" I led my hermits into the portal to see a pink haired lady with a blue dress. She turned.
"LIZZIE!" Joel ran over and hugged his wife. While most went over to see or meet her, a blond turned to me. "How's it going? You haven't found his code?" I shook my head. "Unfortunately no. I've been trying since Demise."
Grian sighed. "I know. And you're so nice for helping me out with it, I'm just scared, X. I loved him. We had just told eachother. Before HE found out. That's what started this whole thing." I nodded. "The watchers still know how to scare me. I mean, I know you have heard of the Life Series. They made me create it. They made me choose who to bring to the game, who to form alliances with or who to go after and kill. Every season it's a different theme. Like Double life. It was the whole soulmate thing." He turned to me. "I mean, where to you think the whole Etho and Joel being obsessed with eachother came from. Or Tango talking about the Ranchers."
I blinked. "They torture me by killing my friends. Those hermits always come back to hermitcraft and the others back to wherever they are from."
He finally turned to me. "I'm going to go talk to lizzie now that no one's crowding her. Last time I saw her, I killed her for her final life in Secret Life." He explained and waved and walked away.
I sighed.
Biffa's disappearance was different then Wels. Biffa had to leave. Biffa was Hermitcraft's watcher before Grian joined. He had to leave that very same season. The watchers had found out be was here. But Welsknight? He had no reason.
The only time Grian could see Solidarity was in the life series.
We all gathered in a circle and we all made Scar to the intro. We all held cameras up so we could record it. After the innitial pow wow, we gathered in different groups. No one came over to me, so I took that time to barracade myself in a one by one block of dirt and brought up the admin pannel.
For about two hours, I just sat there, my feet tucked up to my chest. At some point, it would become night and then, the only glow would only be from my screen. Surely all the mobs would find me sooner or later and they would try to chip away at the dirt. The sun was already starting to set over the forest and I still haven't found a way for Grian to see his friend again.
I was loosing hope. While the sun dipped below the horrizon, something drew my eyes away from my screen. I looked around, not notiing at first. There! A light shining and coming closer. Until the dirt was distroyed to see that same red sweater wearing hermit. He had made a bigger box of a mix of oak and dark oak planks around us. I quickly stood up and helped him put a roof on it. We stood there staring at eachother, just hearing eachother's breath.
"You know how I'm also dealing with the codes for Biffa and Welsknight?" He nodded and sat down. "Since you're a watcher and an ex admin yourself, do you think you could help me find their codes?" I asked a bit sheepishly, not expecting him to actually help. "Sure. It has been a bit since I used my admin screen though." He replied. I sat down across from him.
It was silent for a bit as we worked on lost codes. Grian scared me when he screamed out. "Holy sh-" I gave him a look, "Biffa is in the server hub! Don't know low long for, but his code just showed up. Same for Wels. It's as if one of them activated the other's code. But Wels may be very far from the hermitcraft portal." I raised my eyebrow and scootched over to sit beside him. "See," he said. Sure enough Welsknight's code flickered. "This either means he's very far away or he's very injured." I sighed. "If he dies there, it's a permadeath." I replied.
He moved himself so he sat on his ankles in front of me. "I could open a portal for you to get there and help him." Grian cocked his head to the side. I shook my head. "That won't work. Even if I do go, how will I find him? It's just that the server hub is endless. We could be heading the other way from eachother."
He sighed and got up, holding his hand out for me to take. I took it.
"Do me a massive favor." I hummed. "Go. To. Sleep." I rolled my eyes. "Let me rephrase that. Go get some sleep or Cub or Keralis will knock you out with bricks. Your choice." He said, straightfaced. "I'm going peacefully.."
Grian laughed out loud now. "Yeah. That's what I thought." I laughed along with him.

When I woke up the sun was in my eyes. I had fell asleep at Keralis's base. Because. You know. I didn't even have a house yet other than that small dirt box I had with Grian.
I turned back around, the warm sun on my back and tried to go back to sleep. But I couldn't seem to fall back asleep. So with a crestfallen expression, I pulled the covers off and placed my feet on the floor.
When I finally found Keralis, he was in his wheat farm talking to Gem and Tango. I punched him.
"Thanks for letting me crash here last night." I said, rubbing my shoulder of the kinks from sleep.
The brunette nodded. The other two were clearly confused, but they didn't ask. "Know where Grian is? I found a certain code that I think he would be interested in." Gem and Keralis shook their heads, but Tango replied. "Yeah. You see over that hill with the big obelisk tower thing? That's Ren. Then Pearl has a little ditty house then Grian and the Cherry Mountain Crew." I nodded. "Etho is up on that hill in the jungle, no surprise there, and I'm the one with the steampunk house with the cogs and gears all over it." I nodded again and waved, turning around. "Thanks Tango." "Anytime."
Just as the blond said, I ran into Cherry Mountain. I honestly didn't know who other than Grian was up here. But I saw a box. I was confused. Until I saw Bdubs and Impulse. Bdubs saw me right away.
"Hey, X." He said, he waving. "Finally pulled yourself out of the dirt Box?" I rolled my eyes. "Har, har. Actually looking for Grian. Know where he is on cherry mountain?" Impulse spoke up. "Yeah. There's us, then going around clockwise, it's Skizz, Mumbo, Scar is technically not on the mountain just in front, then Gem, Grian, and Joel is up higher from us. Lizzie is actually on the other side of Cleo's base." He must have seen my confused look. "Cleo, Lizzie, Beef, Iskall, Stress, False and Ren are all a part of the ministry over by Ren's tower." I nodded.
"I need to share something with Grian. If it works, solidarity will be able to be here." The two perked up. "Jimmy? Oh, that would be amazing. I know how much Grian just adors that cinnamon roll."
I laughed. "Cool. Thanks." Bdubs tossed almost a full stack of cooked chicken at me. With that, I went off in search of a little chaos magnet.
