The consequences we must go through to find and see oneself
The reality of the lie that has come forth
Now looks you in the face with the blackest of eyes
And the once happy smile fades with envy
Jealous of those who have what you've only dreamed of

Bleeding heart pounding and the knife in my hand plunged deep within my soul
The death of life is the birth of light
We walk on a path of dishonesty
A world full of lies and all we know how to do is cry and beg for life to show mercy
When compassion is not part of our language
And we stand proudly a top the mountain not knowing that all animals cease to exist someday
Yet we fail to show this to our children's children and expect the world to be a better place
With young believing they are a bunch of supermen
But we'll all soon see
