Please listen to this my brothers and sisters. I found this to be a good reminder for when we come across things like this girl's book. And I know ya'll know what girl I'm talking about.

Remember these verses:

'So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.'

[ Surah Ya-seen, 36:76 ]

'And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allah entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.'

[ Surah Yunus, 10:65 ]

Don't forget that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and all the prophets before him, peace be upon them all, and the Muslims aaaaaaaaall the way back to those in the beginning of time, were all attacked and persecuted because of their faith. They were mocked, they were kicked out of their homes, they were robbed of their rights.

What we're facing now is nothing compared to that.

The thing is, reacting in the same way is not the correct approach to dealing with the problem.

We don't name call back.

We don't accuse.

We don't insult.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'lah says:

'And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy.'

[ Surah Al-Israa, 17:53 ]

'And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive,'

[ Surah Al-Shoora, 42:37 ]

And the Prophet (pbuh) says:

'Indeed the most beloved among you to me, and the nearest to sit with me on the Day of Judgment is the best of you in character.'

'The best of you is the one who has the best character.'

The above descriptions are the ones that Allah and his Messenger love. It is our duty to convey that. As the Ummah of the Prophet, it is our responsibility to show the world what it means to follow Islam.

Let them hate.

Let them criticise.

Let them mock.

Let them question.

But better yet, let them understand.

I know it's hard. Hard not to say something back, hard not to take a jab at them like they do at us, hard to not scream in frustration as things get taken out of context and labelled as 'the truth'.

But fire cannot always be fought with fire.

This doesn't mean we're going to stand by and do nothing though.

We will fight back, we will defend our religion.

Just not with fire.

We won't stoop down to her level. There is a better way to show people the truth.

'You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.'

[ Aali 'Imran, 3:110 ]

The light will always be there, no matter what anyone says or does.

'They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.'

[ Surah Al Saff, 61:8 ]

Because see, you know what the thing is here?

If you go over comments she said herself, how she says that the point of the book is to 'show how ridiculous Islam is', to show us 'the light' and 'guide us to the truth'. She says that the Youtube channel, Acts17Apologetics, is a reason as to why a lot of Muslims are leaving Islam and that she wants to be a part of that.

My brothers and sisters, we're the targets here.

If we refute her arguments or not, she doesn't care. She won't stop. If she got one thing wrong, she'll simply find something else to attack. And this will go on and on, refuting and posting, refuting and posting...

It's awesome that a few of you have made rebuttals to her book, making accessible the truth to those who seek it. But I just want to remind you not to get worked up about the comments you'll get, from her or otherwise. Comment debates go on forever, and the point of making the book was to refute that argument. And you did. So that's it. You are under no obligation to continue on, especially if the person is being disrespectful.

Going back to her book, how will she succeed in doing what she's out to do?

By being able to convince those of little knowledge. Those who have not studied as deeply as others and would take her word for it, because as she claims, she's 'taking them from our own sources.'

She's trying to shake our faith.

And how would we protect ourselves from that?

By educating ourselves.

Refuting won't stop her, but knowing the truth ourselves is what will protect us. The Prophet (pbuh) said that seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim. If we don't believe her and don't get riled up because we know the truth, she can't do anything about it. She would've failed.

So I want to ask of you guys now is this:

~ If you have made any comments with any sort of insult, delete them.

~ If you're spamming her message board, please stop. Even though most are actually beautiful hadeeth, it's giving her more fuel. The last chapter will show you what I mean; only someone who's been reading the previous chapters and her comments will understand the mocking behind her sudden smiley emojis and sweet talk.

~ If you're currently following her profile to stay up to date, unfollow. Following means you support her, and we most definitely do not.

~ If you have voted, unvote.

~ And please please please, try to ignore her. No matter what she says, she only wants a reaction. The answers are out there if she really wanted them. Many scholars have refuted her arguments already. I would even go as far as saying don't read any future updates at all.

If we do that, this will all slowly die down. A lot of Christians and even Atheists don't agree with what she's doing either. We shouldn't give her the attention she's after.

We know she'll say we're not replying because 'we have no proof' and that we're 'too cowardly to PM her and debate'.

But you know what? People like that don't deserve your time. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been greatly emotionally affected by this; a few days ago I got nothing productive done because the thoughts of 'What should I do? Comment? PM? Ignore her?'

My solution was to spread the light and let the light battle the darkness.

There's this thing called 'respect', and if she finally learns the meaning of the word, she'll be surprised with the answers she'll find for her 'questions'.

Wallahi, this whole thing is not worth it. We need to forget the haters and just focus on ourselves. And through that, they will see the truth. After all, Islam spread through the actions of its people.

There are many accounts on Wattpad who are trying to do just that: educate people about Islam.

Unfortunately, other than FreetheMW (a project focusing on empowering Muslim Women and clearing the misconceptions about them) most of them haven't been active in quite a while.

M-A-S-Q-A has recently started a new group Wattpad account aiming to do exactly what we were talking about ( MuslimsUnited ). And as one of the admins, I'm going to be trying my best to help push this project to its full potential. Another account that is doing something similar that also started up recently would be WattMuslimCommunity .

We are one Ummah, and so we will move forward as one Ummah and defend our religion as one Ummah.
