Circe's New Man
Bruce Wayne had met many women, but never anyone as sexy and intriguing as this lady. She had bright red hair, the most beautiful porcelain skin he had ever seen, and she smelled like a sweet flower. Despite the fact that he was a grown man and successful entrepreneur, he felt like a boy in her presence.
"Who is she?" he asked his butler Alfred because Alfred had been in charge of the invitations for the ball at Wayne's mansion that night.
"I haven't got the slightest idea, sir," Alfred admitted and was apparently looking for clues himself. She was talking to Gotham's leading industrialists. So perhaps she was someone's new girlfriend or business partner?
Never one who was afraid of rejection, Wayne went over to the group and addressed the lady. "I'm Bruce Wayne, your host tonight."
"Oh yes, these gentleman have told me a lot about you. I'm Circe Aiaia."
"You're from Greece," Bruce Wayne remarked because she had an audible foreign accent.
"Yes, I am."
"Miss Aiaia here owns a group of hotels on a small Greek island. She has just invited us there and told us that her hotels might be a great investment," one of Gotham's leading industrialists said.
"Is that so?" Wayne asked and had the impression that Circe Aiaia was flirting with him.
"It is. Once you get there, you don't want to leave my island ever again," Circe said and took a sip of champagne.
"Indeed?" Bruce Wayne raised a curious eyebrow.
The band started to play a very seductive tango, and Circe suggested that they should dance. Naturally, Bruce Wayne couldn't resist the offer made by the pretty seductress, who turned out to be a heavenly dancer as well.
"So, are you interested in visiting my island?"
"And risk you keeping me there? I mean, what would you do to me there? Seduce me?"
He had meant it as a joke, but she sounded quite serious and sincere when she replied, "Something like that." Apart from that, she had gotten awfully close to him, and it wasn't just due to the fact that they were dancing a tango. He felt her warm breath on his neck and her long fingernails on his back, and he had the impression that she was holding on to him like a spider was holding on to its prey.
The tango was over sooner than he had anticipated though. "We should do that again sometime," she said and sounded slightly out of breath.
He nodded. "We definitely should."
And then they went their separate ways again, but not before she had smiled at him in a way that left no room for interpretation: She was definitely interested in him in that way. As for him, he had never met a woman who was so straightforward about her sexuality and sexual interest in a man. Not even Wonder Woman was like that. Perhaps that was the reason why he had the impression that Circe Aiaia was a dangerous woman.

Batman was taking the newest model of the Batmobil for a spin on the next evening when he almost drove into a flock of sheep that stood in the middle of the highway that went into Gotham City. If he hadn't thought of pushing the "flight mode" button in time to fly over the animals, he surely would have crashed his car and killed some of them.
There was no farm oder factory nearby from which they could have escaped or from which someone could have let them escape. Therefore, Batman turned around to investigate the matter.
The sheep greeted him with a collective baa when he emerged from the car. They were clearly trying to complain about something. But since they were sheep, they couldn't tell him what had upset them.
All of a sudden, a wolf came running towards the sheep. He thought he was about to attack the sheep. But oddly enough, it ignored the sheep, which immediately ran for their lives, and came to a stop in front of Batman, whom it also did not attack. It started to bark excitedly instead and seemed to point into the direction of the bridge in front of him.
When he turned around, he saw the purple lightning. He recognized Wonder Woman's golden lasso, too, and went back to the Batmobil at once.
When he flew past the two women on the bridge, he was almost hit by the lightning that was coming from the hands of Wonder Woman's opponent. She was obviously a sorceress, and one wearing an Ancient Greek dress at that. He knew who she was, of course: Circe Aiaia.
"Do you need any help?" he greeted Wonder Woman.
"Where have you been?" Wonder Woman, who was desperately trying to capture the sorceress, asked.
"I was taking my new car for a spin..." he started to apologize.
"Don't tell me: boys and their cars."
"Something like that. Then I almost ran over a flock of sheep..."
"You mean citizens of this town this lady here has turned into animals because she has allegedly fallen for someone who did not pick up his phone tonight," Wonder Woman added.
"And who would that be?" Batman asked.
"Bruce Wayne, that liar and cheater! He is no better than that liar Odysseus!" Circe, who had obviously overheard their conversation, wailed. "Even you, Wonder Woman, can have a boyfriend in this time, but why not me?"
"You only danced once with my friend Bruce Wayne. It was hardly a marriage proposal!" Batman said.
"But he was so cute and clearly interested in me... And I'm so alone here in this time to which I have been exiled by the gods!"
Since there was obviously no helpline for mythical beings on the brink of a nervous breakdown, Circe had decided to transform a few people from Gotham City into animals when Bruce Wayne had not picked up his phone... because Batman was taking a spin with his new car.
Suddenly, Batman had an idea. "Hey, Circe, are you by any chance related to the Siren?"
"Don't mention her! She is my stupid cousin!" Circe spat.
"But she has also been 'exiled' to this time."
"I don't believe one word you're saying. I've been here for two years, and you're the first person who mentions her. That's not her usual style!"
"I agree," Batman said, remembering the flashy Siren only too well. "But you know, she is in jail. That's why you haven't heard from her. Perhaps you'd like to go check if she is really there?"
In that second, Wonder Woman managed to capture Circe, who had not been paying attention to Wonder Woman anymore due to Batman's revelation about her cousin.
"Well done," Batman said.
"Why don't you pay better attention to the ladies you flirt with!" Wonder Woman admonished him.
