*Melody*

"Hey Mini Jinxx... Wake up, kiddo," A voice spoke as I felt myself waking up.

I groaned softly and yawned as I opened my eyes, my vision clearing to meet with Uncle Jake's face.

"Hey, there are those baby blues," he chuckled.

I rubbed my eyes as I looked around, seeing we were all now in the maternity ward waiting room.

Momma Jinxx, Aunt Autumn and Uncle Travis were also here, along with Alice's sister and mother.

I guess I fell asleep while we were waiting for Alice to be fully dialated.... I am told I apparently sleep more than the dead.... Hehe....

"How long was I asleep?" I asked.

"A couple of hours. Its 10 pm," Uncle Jake said, then placed a cup from Starbucks in front of me. "Your dad was able to tell us your favorite, so I had CC make a coffee run. Its still warm."

I smiled and took the cup as I sat up, along with the pastry bag he handed me that contained a lemon pound cake.

"Tahlia went to the bathroom real quick with the twins, they should be back in a bit. Their parents said its okay for them to sleep over. Evan and Rupert are on their way with Holly," He said as I sat up on the seat. "Andy's doing a food run."

I nodded as I sipped my coffee, then realized something.

"I never got to wish my mother good luck..." I frowned.

"Aww come on," He said. "Alice is tough, and she knows you still wish it for her anyway."

I smiled as he patted my shoulder.

"Go ahead and finish you coffee and cake, I'll get an update for you," he said.

"Thank you," I nodded as he got up and headed to the reception desk.

I sighed as I sipped my coffee, the vanilla flavor warming me against the  cold waiting room air.

Soon Tahlia and the twins came back, joining me.

"Hey," She said. "Any news yet?"

"I just woke up. Uncle Jake is finding out what he can now," I said. "I'm a little nervous, though."

"Stay calm, Mal," Stella said. "Your mom is going to be fine."

"Yeah," Bella said. "Its been an easy pregnancy for her. Our older cousin, Rosario, had a tough one despite having a healthy baby. So much morning sickness and even had spotting from time to time, and during delivery had to be rushed to emergency c-section due to low blood pressure."

"Oh gosh," I gasped.

"Yeah, it was tough, but little Diego was born healthy and strong, and his mama only needed bedrest for a few weeks," Stella smiled.

"Your mom and your baby brother will be just fine, babe," Tahlia assured as she held my hand. "You'll see."

I smiled and nodded. "Thanks, girls... I really needed the comfort."

They smiled as then Rupert and Evan ran in.

"Sorry we're late!" Rupert said.

"Is there a baby yet?" Evan asked.

"Not yet. Waiting on news," I explained as they sat by us. Uncle Andy had also arrived and started passing out food bags.

"Julio and Aylin were gonna come, but their folks have them on curfew," Evan scoffed with an eyeroll.

"My mom was able to drive us, we just had to wait for her to leave work to drop us off," Rupert said.

"Thanks again for letting us all crash at your place, Mel," Holly said.

"Anytime," I said with a smile.

Uncle Jake then walked up to us, followed by Aunt Inna.

"I see the whole crew's here, minus two," he chuckled.

"Julio and Aylin have curfews in their neighborhoods," Rupert shrugged.

"Sucks," he said as everyone else gathered around.

"Any news?" Holly asked.

Uncle Jake and Aunt Inna then looked at each other and smiled.

"A healthy 6 pound 16 inch baby boy, our new momma is also doing well and resting," Aunt Inna smiled. 

We all gasped excited and smiled as we celebrated.

"Tiny little guy just like his dad but ready to kick ass," Uncle Jake joked, making everyone laugh.

"Melody, are you ready to meet your baby brother?" Aunt Inna asked.

I smiled anxiously as I looked at my friends, who motioned me to go, and I nodded.

"We'll all find away to sneak in," CC smiled.

I followed them along with my grandmother, aunt and uncle, and headed to the room.

We soon arrived and quietly entered the room.

My mother was in bed, hair slightly out of place as she rested in bed, holding a blue bundle in her arms as my father sat next to her.

They looked up and smiled as we quietly walked in.

"Hey," Mother smiled tiredly. "Come in... Come in..."

Everyone nudged me forward towards my parents as we all peered into the tiny bundle, soon everybody else walking in and crowding the small room.

"Everyone, meet Miles Wolfgang Ferguson," my father said.

"Good job Dad, you just cursed your kid to a lifetime of jokes," Uncle Ashley joked, making the guys laughed as my father flipped him off.

"Its cute though!" Inna defended with a soft laugh.

"He's adorable," Holly smiled as we admired Miles.

"He's still being dubbed Mini Jinxx #2, though," Uncle CC snickered.

We laughed as then my father turned to me.

*Jake*

"Melody," Jinxx motioned to her with a smile. "Come meet your new little brother."

Melody smiled before sitting next to Alice as she cradled Miles.

"Aw..." she said, smiling.

"Do you want to hold him?" Alice smiled at Melody.

Her eyes widen. "C-Can I?" She asked.

"Of course," Alice said, then instructed Melody on how to hold the baby, and soon Miles was cradled in his big sister's arms.

Miles then looked up at Melody curiously.

"Hi Miles," Melody smiled. "I'm Melody, your big sister."

Miles cooed and babbled softly as he settled in Melody's arms as he looked up at her with big blue eyes like her's and his father's, then reached a little hand up to her, making her laugh and hold it.

I quickly snapped a picture to later send to Jinxx and post.

We all smiled and and continued to welcome the newest member of our big crazy family before visiting hours ended and we all had to leave since Alice still needed her rest.

We all said our goodbyes, Melody hesitating to leave as she held her baby brother, admiring him.

"Hey... First thing tomorrow morning after breakfast we can come see him," I assured her.

She smiled as she looked at me before looking down at him, then softly kissing the top of his head.

"I'll see you soon, Miles," she said as he cooed softly before Melody carefully handed him back to Alice, and they said their goodbyes.

"See you tomorrow, love," she smiled.

"Good night, Mom," she said, then proceeded to hug her father. "Good night, Dad."

"Good night, my little joy," he smiled. "See you tomorrow."

She nodded before finally joining us to head out and soon we headed home.
