Chapter 8: Daemon Sea Spirits
They spoke of a hidden prophecy. They spoke of secrets unknown to man, but the truth of it all was too much to bare.
~°°°~
Seivon Rivers
Even during the play, her voice still filled my head and I just loved the way her tongue rolled when she said my name.
"Seivon." She said to me. Wow. "Seivon." I thought about how she said my name again. I am really acting like one of those girls at school who are into with me.
But focus Seivon. Just pay attention to this play with your friends. I just kinda want to know how Kaisa got here without showing Miracine her true form, unless Miracine is her? But that means we were both at the same place!
I also want to talk to Kaisa about that, but in another way I don't. She probably hates me for being with Pacific as much as the rest of them.
"Would you... like some.... food?" A voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked up and in front of us was a young lady. Early college, if I had to guess. Silver eyes, black hair and cheeky smile.
She smiled too much if you asked me. But hey, she is probably just another person doing her job. Though I have to admit it, her voice was memorizing. It struck you like a trance.
"Uhhh.....s-s-sure." Ashton babbled, completely enraptured with her.
Dang, she got him good. But something about her just bothered me. Like it hit me in the wrong way.
"Ashton, stop being stupid and flirting with the workers!" Rage filled Kaisa face. Kinda like how Melody is always is with me.
"Kaisa is it....?" The lady smiles again looking at her. They know each other? That must be why she got mad at Ashton.
"Wait! How did you know-" Kaisa, however responded. The lady just put her hand up and shook her head sweetly.
"Or should I say Atlantic...?" As the woman drew out her words, I was certainly surprised. This person knew that she was a mermaid. To say I was shocked was an understatement.
Is that lady a mermaid too? But it did confirmed what my pacific mermaid said as being true. Kaisa was pale and speechless.
"W-what? W-w-who...who are you?" Kaisa stuttered biting her lip.
Who is this stranger?
"Well it's quite obvious wearing a pendant like that." She was wearing one and revealed it just like that. Well it does make sense.
Pacific gave me hers and I'm still not quite sure what it does.
"Pendant? W-what are you talking about." She laughed clearly trying to brush it off, but I knew her better than that.
"Then why don't you tell them your secret....?" She told her mysteriously and that was when the chaos struck. "You could hand me your pendant. And why don't you tell your friends why you hate water so much. Show them....."
She handed Kaisa a water bottle. "...with this." At once, that feeling that hit me in the wrong way became greater.
"Kaisa? Are you okay....you are acting weird." Melody turns towards Kaisa forgetting the play.
Kaisa. There was something wrong with her almost like she was in a trance.
Her voice became alluring, "Yes, there is something I should tell you. Everyone...." Kaisa slowly unscrewed the cap.
She wasn't herself.
She would never do that.
"I don't like water for a reason...." This couldn't be good. She has to be under some kind of trance or hypnosis. Isn't someone going to do something.
I couldn't wait for that. Just as she was about to pour it, I stood up and knock the water bottle out of her hands.
"Why you slimy little-" I, however, interrupted her when I poured the water on the worker lady.
"Gaaaaaah!" She screamed getting water all around us including the stage performance.
"W-water!" Suddenly Kaisa snapped back to her senses and jumped back near Ash.
"Why did you have one yourself," The lady's eyes gleamed at me, "and your nothing but a-" I stopped her sentence right there by pouring my water on her.
I turned to Kaisa who was freaking out, "Kaisa! What are you waiting for? Shouldn't you change your clothes, since they are all wet?" I winked at her.
"Oh!" Kaisa looked down, "Uh right!" She blushed as she ran off.
The others were shocked on what was happening. I could tell them she was being rude to Kaisa and they will believe me. I am a good liar. But before anything else happened, I was knocked to the floor.
The world was spinning and dots filled my eyes. Above me was the lady and I knew who she was. Her form was revealed. The word the mermaid mentioned the most.
A sea spirit daemon.
But only for a second.
"LirEZAivKE, SZeia spijRIZt!" A very familiar voice yelled. The last thing I saw was a bright magenta light before the world become out of focus.

Miacine Seaton
Seivon, I thought.
He was unconscious. I can't believe he did that though. It made me want him Even more. I just can't believe he helped her, even though she probably hates him.
This is why he is just so amazing. That's why I really like him. He will not hesitate to help and risk his life for others. If only all humans were like that, then maybe I wouldn't get so much slack for being like this with Seivon.
Even though I missed some of the play, it was interesting.
It was a story.
Swan Lake it was called. Cursed as a swan only by day and night thy shall she be a humanic. And only if one commits their undying love for her than, shall she be humanic forever as the day and night passes.
But why wouldn't she like being a swan? It is much better than dealing with humans.
And one day she met with a prince but before he could save her the sorceress came taking her away.
And the rest I couldn't remember because the dilemma with Kaisa happened.
We were at a hospital. Seivon was unconscious and Kaisa told everyone she felt like she was being possessed by that lady. We made up an excuse saying she wanted her jewelry.
I mean we weren't wrong. That she-daemon wanted it. Ashton being Ashton wanted food and we left him alone. Melody joined him and wanted to get the food before he could. And here I was with Kaisa hoping he is alright.
"I told you he was different." I smiled. Maybe she will finally get how much he means to me.
"Hm.." Suddenly she widen her eyes, "Wait-what if it is a trap!? And he is planning on selling me to a circus!" Kaisa exclaimed. Then like that all possible hope vanished.
I sighed, "If he planned on selling you to the circus, then I would already be there. I seen him more times than I'd count. Kiss him more times than I'd ever knew. It's like I can say anything and...." I trailed off, "Nevermind. You don't understand, nobody does."
"Little....Mira you don't understand." She tries to tell me, "Everyone is worried about you. If something happens to you and you decide to never return then-"
"But that's the problem," I huffed, "Everyone thinks I am not going to. But that is not true at all. I rather swim and be in the-"
Seivon's voice interrupted me, "erhmmm.....Violet." I looked over at Kaisa and she was shocked as I was.
He barely said anything, but I caught what he called me. Violet. I hope he meant that. But he was unconscious.
"Seivon?" I tried, but no response. I tried shaking him a bit. And finally we both heard him groan a bit.
"Kaisa and Miracine." He pressed his lips into a thin line debating what to say.
"Miracine? Could you leave for a moment?" W-what?..... He doesn't know it is me, does he? But who else at the school looks this much like my mermaid self?!
I just want to be here to make sure he is alright. If he knew, I am sure he would let me. I just want to hug him and kiss it all better.
Just why doesn't he know?
"What? Why....."I almost whispered. "Look At-Kaisa is important. I know like everything about her, so whatever you have to say to her. You can say with me here." I just said that to him. I can't believe it.
If you try anything Kaisa I will make sure you regret it.
"You wouldn't understand. Besides I made a promise to someone that I will tell no such other." He told me gently. But that is a lie because I do understand more than he would ever know.
Before I thought he had suspected it was me. And earlier he said he thought he figured out who I was, but now he just said this and it hurts. It hurts a lot. But the thing is I don't have an excuse. I always knew who he was. He doesn't even know my name.
He probably just thinks of me as the mermaid who is hot. He kisses me. He makes out with me. We talk and we try to get to know the other. He probably didn't understand when I said he is my other half. He doesn't exactly even know what a desire is. I should have gotten him to make the partial desire agreement.
He just thinks I am different. What if he really likes Melody because she doesn't show that she likes him as much?
"Fine, I'm....I'm leaving." My voice was cracking. I ran outside the door and I felt myself crying.
But I waited. What was this conversation and I was going to listen in. Mermaids don't feel guilt. They can lie and feel normal. They can feel nothing.
Except with him, I feel all of that. They can live doing what we are suppose to or we can live finding something new like expressions humanics have.
"Are you okay?!" I heard him say. I hate this, but it isn't his fault. He just doesn't know.
"Ummm...Yeah I am fine." Kaisa didn't know how to react. She still didn't know if she could trust him.
I kinda hope that maybe she did want me there, but didn't know how to explain without telling the truth.
"So it is true." He stated, "You are from the Atlantic. The Rivalkai mermaid as she tells me. Listen you probably hate me, well ever since a week ago, but tell me why does everyone think of me so poorly? What did I do?"
I could explain everything. Why ask her? She is just another faker.
"Well considering what you did to Miracine, it explains everything." She was probably looking smug at his confusion. "First you stripped Little Pacific from everything she ever knew and made her a humanic like you. She doesn't hate humanics as most, she is always sneaking out, and soon she might want to never return. Mark my words, Seivon. Humanics and Mermaids don't belong together." I heard Kaisa tell him coldly,
"Once Little Pacific saved you she released something into the world for breaking a rule: Deadly, darkness, spirits of evil, and chaos. She changed, but we are afraid." She whispered, "You will do something and that is why we don't trust you. But most of all you are a Humanic."
Wait that is the reason? See nobody tells me anything or can trust me. It makes me mad.
"But I would never-" He paused for a bit. "Ahh, so that is what your true accent sounds like? It does sound more natural." I could tell he was smiling.
"Maybe because you did that I feel a little better. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!" She exclaimed, " If you try and I mean anything on her or us. You are going down. I will find you, we will find you, and send something stronger than anything you ever faced before." I heard Seivon gasped.
The last thing I heard was Seivon asking a question, "Just who is the Pacific mermaid and why is everyone more protected over her?" And by this point I decided to stop listening.
Sometimes I wish I could have gone back and listened Kaisa's response. I think it would have helped me way better in the future. I would understand myself at least, but I had to find out in the worse possible way.
I left. I needed to go.
I couldn't stand to listen anymore. I felt like crying.
I needed to feel water. The true water where salt lies. Where fish swim and dolphins played. Where I could finally breathe a moisture like air.
The Ocean of the Pacific. The Kimoshei waters. My home. And lastly, my kingdom where I was raised with my brother and the heirs.
"Mother, I don't understand"
"Mina. Listen well, you'll need it. No matter what happens. No matter what they say, do what you believe to be right. I will always be on your side. Even if it feels like there is no one supporting you, don't stop because their is a great evil within the system that will make it seem that way.
Even if you have to make some sacrifices at the end of the day do what you believe for what is for the best. Someday you will really love someone like there is no tomorrow, hug them like the end is near, and kiss them like they are the last being ever. And when that day comes, cherish them.."
"Okay, I believe you."
"Stay with your brother, we have to see the council. Don't worry, it will be fine. Just don't be scared of the council, they can't control you two unless you show fear to them." She missed my head, "Be brave, little one."
Those were some of the last words I remember. The council...took them away.
It was just me and my brother. The other mermaids helped us since the rulers disappeared....
...
What? Why isn't working, I thought. This doesn't make any sense? Am I going to be held here forever? I feel better in these waters but now I'm-
Oh no, I sense another presence and it wasn't a good one.
"What do we have here?" I heard endless laughter that I couldn't get out of my head. It kept on repeating and repeating.
All of the sudden my eyelids felt heavy. I tried to keep them open, but I just couldn't. Darkness surrounded me and I only wish that someone would come to save me.
..Seivon....Kaisa...Mivozene...Azurine...Seivon....HELP!
Seivon Rivers
I finally left the hospital room after talking to Kaisa. What she said explains a lot of things. I kinda think Violet doesn't know all of these reasons herself.
I felt kinda bad about Miracine. She looked almost hurt when she ran out of the room, her voice cracking at the same time. It could have been her, though and that made me feel awful. But I couldn't risk it. I need more proof if it was.
"Hey Seivon! It's you! You are alive! Finally...my man. I was afraid you never wake up." I chuckled.
Ashton Jacobs.
He is always worrying.
"Hey...Where is Miracine?" Melody pointed out. That's right, she wasn't with them.
"Uhhh I'm not sure. I was talking with Kaisa when she left the room. Didn't she go to wherever you both were?" They shook their heads. Strange.
Was she that upset with what I said? I'll apologize to her later.
"She is probably fine. Relax..." Ash trailed off, "You on the other hand. You are not fine. What. Even. Happen. That lady looked hot and helpless." Of course Ashton would say that.
"She was involved in possessing people. I think Kaisa was her next subject." I muttered.
I couldn't help but notice the look Melody kept on giving me. Actually she's been giving me that look since before we went to the play. I didn't like it.
"Yeah....sure." Melody muttered. Okay, what the heck? What's with that?
"W-wait? Is that her?" Ashton pointed to in the distance with a human shadow figure looking out by the sea.
I wasn't sure. We all walked over to the figure in the shadows. However Kaisa kept her distance, I didn't know why.
"Dryness....utterly dry....Stupid Humanics...." A cold voice whispered, "How dare they ruin the seas for years.... Then the dark spirits came to make it worse...." She wasn't here.
There was a young guy about young college age muttering, but I had a strange feeling he was from the sea. The accent of his voice was very strong and foreign, he said humanics, and he had a strong hatred for us.
"YOU!" He exclaimed, starring at Kaisa. "How do you live with this dryness? I need water....salt on my skin to feel alive."
"Ummmm.....Well it was nice to meet you too! Bye!" Ashton exclaim trying to pull our arms away.
"Wait." Kaisa stopped him turning to face him. "What are you doing here?" He faced us now letting his hair flow. Dark colored symbols were on the sides of his face that looked familiar. She had similar ones didn't she?
"W...wow." Melody pressed her lips in a thin line. She stared at him intensively. What's up with her?
"Y-you look even better than Seivon." Gee thanks Mel.
"Who...Who are you?" A long sigh emerged from her lips.
"Wait what are you doing with people like them?" He asked but Kaisa only shrugged.
Hatred for humans.
Check.
Questioning why non humans are with humans.
Check.
Complaining about dryness equals mermaid.
Check
Now all he has to do is show how I "ruined" the pacific mermaid.
"We need to talk. And did one of your....friends mention one named Seivon? I want him dead. He stole my sister's heart."
I looked down. The others, however, just looked at me in amusement as if to say, 'really dude.'
Wait.... My thoughts trailed off, This could not be even more unnerving. The one who saved me and the one who I've been seeing all this time is his sister.
Oh yeah, he definitely wants me dead. He probably hates me more than anyone. I heard a lot about him and what he says about us. I really hope Violet doesn't ever decide a meet the family day. Because if she does, that will be really fun.
Unless she wants to meet mine where uh half of them are.... Let's not think of that, I decided
"Oh....uh yeah. Come on." Kaisa turns her head to the side. "Go ahead without me, I see you later." She waved.
We went over to the lounge and it was silent. Well wasn't this awkward. Ashton and Melody sees this weird guy and then he says he wants me dead. That couldn't be any weirder.
"That was weird." I broke the silence.
"He's mad at you for his sibling liking you? Almost everyone is obsessed with you. What does he expect? Unless..." Melody paused coming over to me. "You didn't just do your usual ways with his sister. What if, it was something more?" She looked in amazement.
I kinda hate that Mel is this smart when figuring out things.
"Did more than a usual hump and dump? As if!" Ashton shouted laughing. I rolled my eyes, I don't even do that.
"I don't even know who he is." I resorted throwing my hands up in the air innocently. I wasn't wrong. I don't really know her brother.
"Are you sure? What if you have been seeing someone we don't know about. In the evenings and mornings...." She leaned in closer to me looking at my eyes which remained opened. Now this was getting weird. "But you are probably right, let's see where Miracine headed off to."
Wait-what? Don't just say something then drop it.
"Yeah." Ash agreed, "Let's find her."
