I didn't want to hate her.  I didn't want to be against her.  But this was serious.  I knew he would be on my side.  He understood it.  Then he'd understand why I had to do this.

        "Mivozene!" I called

        "Miss me already?" I heard his voice, "Aww I knew you could not get enough of me, sis."

         "No this is serious! Whatever you do I need you to be extra careful in the sea. Apparently around the pacific, some researchers are putting some devices in the ocean to find out what is going on with the sea." I told him eagerly,
         "They are only being in the pacific for now as a testing phase, but if there are not mistakes they will spread"

           I heard a loud gasp and heavy breathing, "R-researchers!  T-this is bad." He did not even hide the nervousness in his voice.  He sounded almost scared for once.

         "Yeah I know, but that is not even the worse part." I told him, "Those devices are cameras and record things. They make it where any of us do not know they are doing it."

          He was surprised, "Are you saying we cannot go in the sea?"

        "Not in the pacific.  The other oceans...I...I do not know." I shook my head, "But even if we do destroy them, their data is backed up to a computer device thing. So the only way is to destroy those."

         Mivozene was determined, "We need to make them do some mistakes and that way it will not work."

        I nodded my head, agreeing, "Yeah that what I was thinking, but we need to destroy the computers without them knowing." 

        "And the computers are in..... " That's when his voice got shaky, "t-their labs. Oh no.... Oh no!"

       "Yeah, but what if you tried hacking into them." I thought at once,
      "You delete the data, insert something into the computer to send the information to us and lastly delete it off the device.  O-or what if you put something to just delete all data!"

        "I do not know if I can even do that...." He trailed off.  He actually seemed nervous or scared. 
         "I will alert everyone I can, Mina. Thank you for telling me this. The mermaid council will appreciate it and maybe think of you in a better light."

          I rubbed my neck nervously, "But the main reason I called was I was wondering if you could go to their labs.....and destroy their computers. But while you at it you could find information what they know about it."

       "Mina....B-b-but they are researchers! They could capture and kill me like all those others if they find out I am a mermaid. They could open me up and-"
        I felt his nervousness.

       "Wait! What?" I listened in confusion, "O-open you up? What do you mean?"

       "What? I said that? Hahaha...You must of......." There was a dead silence on the other line. I thought he hanged up when I heard him speak again.
       "Okay I did say that and that is what they do once they die. They do terrible things. I been in a lab before...I almost did not make it." I was shocked to hear this. I did not know of that.
        Maybe that is why he is always against humans and wants to protect me from them. But not all humanics are like that. Seivon, Melody, and Ashton are good.

       "Oh my sea-stars!" I gasped,
       "How could they?"

         "They had dead mermaids. They put something in one of us and they died immediately afterwords. I saw with my own eyes cutting him open seeing how his body worked. It was terrible. I just did not want to tell you. I knew it would sicken you. It almost made me gagged and throw up. But what they did next was they ate part of their fins!" He stop for a breath and I felt sick.
       "They wanted to see if they turn into a mermaid. I was kept alive. They wanted me because I was young and probably wanted to see how I age. That why I did not die when I escaped. That is why they did not put anything in me. I want to protect you and I will do this for you. Because it is you and this dangers everyone. But I am going require help." He then said,
         "You need to talk to whoever you found this information from. And get as much as you can out of them. It has to be done casually and slyly. No one can no what we are planning."

        "Alright." I nodded, "No more midnight sunrise or midnight swims. I got several of our diet that can last a month too."

         "You know Mina, you could do anything if you had your pendant. Since you the next to wear the crown if you partly did it you could surround yourself with so much water that nobody would see you...." My brother told me slyly,
         "But you could see yourself. You could use your arms to control the sea taking the devices away and anything that not natural out."

        "But I do not. So I can not." I heard my brother sighed from the other line.

        "Alright we need to plan sometime....and Mina, I am already in the Pacific. You just do not know where I am hiding." Then he hanged up on me.  He just hanged up on me.  I walked back to the table and they were basically done eating and talking about something else thankfully. 
       I probably would not be able to keep my cool if I heard anymore about researchers, oceans, and many other things.

       "You okay?" Seivon wrapped his arms around me.

       "Yeah.  Just....." What was the word called that was a human food.  "apply!" He looked at me and laughed.

        "It is peachy, Mira." I smiled a little and I was glad we were just whispering to each other.

       "So what do you think is hiding in the sea making it be strange?" That sister of Seivon brought up the sea again.  Just great.  Keep your cool.  Keep your cool.  Do not kill her.  Do not drown her.  Do not sing to her.

       "Uhhh....What?" Melody was a good actor.  She looked surprised with the question because of me.  Melody turned that surprised into shock as if to say 'there is something in the sea.'

       "Yeah like sea monsters and...." I was not paying attention now.  We are not monsters.  She is the monster along with her little researcher friends doing those terrible and sickening things to us.  I hate her.  I hate them.
       I want to kill her for saying that about us.  How could she call us monsters when they did that to us?

     "They are not monsters." She looked taken back by my response. 
    "Fish and all of the other sea life are not.  They are beings just like you and me.  Everyone is, but why do you treat them differently than yourself?"

      "Well they are different.  They hurt people.  Like sharks and how they always attack everyone."  Lies.  Lies.  Lies.
      Humans usually provoke them if any.  Sharks are actually friendly little dears.  "And Miracine, the sea monsters I meant are things we do not know exist.  Those things that are dangerous for humans." She smiles calmly. 
     Are we talking about the same thing?  I really doubt it.

     "You do not know anything.." I shook my head.

     "And you do?" She questioned me at once.  I just wanted to laugh at her for saying that. 
       Girl, if you knew you be shock than I have you dead and the only thing keep her alive is that she is Seivon's sister.

      "Yes." I answered calmly.

     "You haven't seen a thing.  Most people don't swim much around here."  She did say most.  Oh yeah I am not a person.

     "Have you met me?  I do it all the time.  Every day.  Every morning.  Every night.  Let me tell you a secret..."  I leaned in her ear making sure no one else heard. 
        "I been swimming since the day I was born." 

      "I mean have you gone deep." She looked in disbelief, "Deep where the dangers are."

      I laughed, "Sure I have."

       "You couldn't possibly know anything." Why does those words strike me as strange? 
       It is just odd.  Does she know more than she makes out?  

      "More than you could know." I whispered.

      "How?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

      "My brother.  Let just say he is very close to the sea.  All of the life it likes him....and me." 
      That is all I said when Melody pulled my arm and we went outside.

      "Mear-uh calm down!  Okay I know you probably hate to discuss when she might find out about you, but do not shove those things in her face." She exclaimed in a serious manner,
     "She might want you to prove it to her.  And if you prove it to her than you know..."

       "She insulted me!  She called me a monster!  I just wanted to try to tell her we are not.  They are not.  Sharks are not hurtful!  It humans who provoke them." I cried out to Mel,
     "I seen many humans hurt all of the sea life and us beings.  By saying all that I just wanted to kill her.  I wanted to hurt her...  She so lucky she is Seivon's sister or she would of been hurt.  Gravelly."
      I was breathing hard.  I did not even hide the fact anger was in my face.

    "You saved him that night right.  Did you caused our ships to sink?" I closed my eyes and nodded.  I calmed down a bit before answering.

       "At the time I had no idea what I was doing.  It was your head ship I caused.  My brother was with me.  He told me they done something terrible to mermaids so of course I helped him.  At the time my brother was changing.  Our parents were recently taken away since they failed a mission." I lowered my head,
      "And I always looked up to him then.  Everything he done then was always for good.  So I did it.  We caused the ship to sink.  Mivozene said that many on the ship were researchers.  They are the only humans that actually know of our existence.". I smiled sadly, "I would change if I could and save them all."

       "So you just killed them because of it?" Melody's eyes widened.

       "No." I shook my head. "Researchers capture mermaids and other sea life.  They take them in custody, imprisoning them.  We done nothing wrong.  They do test and all kinds of experiments." I heard Melody gasp. 
       "But then once they are done with them, they put some kind of thing in them, killing them in the process.  Then they open them up, looking inside of them.  Once they opened them up they....." I was going to be sick just talking about this. 
       "Fed on their flesh and scales l-like food.  J-just talking about it makes me sick." I put my hand over my mouth.

       "How do you know all of this?" I lowered my head.

      "My brother was lucky to escape.  He was lucky to be young.  If he was the age he is now, he would of been killed off.  They wanted to see how he ages...." I tilted my head, "I only recently found out."

     "I am sorry...I did not know." She looked guilty and showed sympathy on her face.

      "Recently before you and everyone else were on those boats.  There was an attack resulting many mermaids being taken.  We did not know who was taken until a few days.  I did not see my brother for some time.  He was on the mission with our parents, but because he was young they did not banish him." I told Mel softly,
       "Then he wanted revenge for all of the lives being taken.  The only thing I regretted of doing that was the people who were not researchers that drowned."  

        "I think you just need to be calm with talking with her.  Maybe she does not know what they do at all.  If she knew she would honestly be on your side.  But I know you cannot easily say anything to her." Mel told me softly,
       "Just remember if she says something.  Anything, even if it hurts you inside, just remember that you know the truth and she doesn't.  I think you just need to be calm about it when she says any of it..."

        "You should be a therapist." I joked.  

       "That's a new one.  I gotten business manager, teacher, engineer, but never therapist." Melody laughed.
      "It's different, I like it.  And usually I tell Ash he is one."  Ashton?  Him?  But he always talking nonsense and crazy.

        "Well I guess I am different in a way.  Not different than Kaisa or my brother though." I smiled.

       "Yeah that's for sure.  Hey, look!" There they were coming out of the door.

      "...Would that be fine with your uni?" I heard Ash asked her.

      "Of course!" She waved her hands around like it was no big deal.

     "What are you talking about?" I turned to Seivon and Ashton.

       "I am going to stay a few more extra days!  Isn't that exciting!" Celestia exclaimed excitedly.
      I was just more than thrilled.  Note the sarcasm.  I looked at Seivon who shrugged.

       "I do not want you to get behind on your university assignments and work.  Maybe you shouldn't." Seivon pressed again.
       Even with his uncomfortable relationship with her he is saying that for my sake.

      "If I didn't know any better I'd say you didn't want me here!" Celestia made a shock expression.

     "No...No that is not the case.  Not at all!" Seivon turned his head towards me and mouthed 'I tried.'  I smiled back.

      "Ah!  It seems as if this vacation is ending already." Ashton stretches his arms.

     "Yeah, only one more day." Seivon muttered shaking his head.

     Suddenly Ash pointed in the far distance, "Wait is that Kaisa and-"

     "Mivozene." I finished in a deep accent.

       "Okay Mear-uh go ahead and woo us with you amazing accent!" Melody joked.  I stared at her deadly.

     "That is a strange accent...Where is it from?" Celestia questions me immediately.  Seafish.
       Do not kill.  Do not kill.  Remember she does not know.  I thought.

       "Oh...Just mixed of many dialects and languages." I laughed it off, "Many islands around the pacific, I used to travel between them a lot.  Then Australia, and now here." I partly lied. 
      But everyone knew native islanders do not have a define accent.  Besides they believed me, well Celestia.

     "I feel like I seen him before." She mentions as she glances at my brother.  "Hmmm..."

     "Huh?" I was actually shocked at her words, "Why would you see him before?"

      "Maybe when I visited you in the past." She said furrowing her eyebrows.

      "No," I shook my head, "He just got here a few months ago."  

      "Really?  Are you sure?  I sworn I seen him before.  Who could he be?  I wonder why....  What is it about him?"
       Well Miss Rivers... Okay no I am not calling her that.  Miss Celestia, he is named Mivozene and he is my brother who is a mermaid and I would not tell you this because we would both disappear by turning into sea slugs.

       "Do any of you know him well?" Why is she asking about him?  It honestly is creepy and messed up.  It makes me feel disgusted.  She is like what in her twenties in human years.  He is only One-Eight-Zero-Nine-Seven!"

        "No." Ashton muttered irritated.  He does not like him either?  Okay I know what Seivon has against him, Melody could, but him?  No.

     "If he knows you know me, he won't give you the time of a day." I had to stop myself from laughing.

      "Not really...." Melody trailed off.  "but I know two people that do."

     "Who?" Celestia asked eagerly.

      "Remember Kaisa?" Melody said slyly, unknowns to what is happening.

      "Oh yeah is that her over there." Really.  Really!  Kaisa knew about his sister and I did not.
       I feel neglected again.

      She just turned and walked over there.  Okay stupid.  She either going to be a) ignored, b) punched in the face, c) thrown into the water, or d) killed.  Any of those options I really do not mind.
       Just then I thought of an idea.  I casually went over to Seivon and put my arm around him touching my pendant from above his shirt. "What are you....?"

       In the distance was Celestia waving to Kaisa.  Then I see Kaisa faked acting surprised and screaming.  She so fake it is honestly funny.  I see her point to Mivozene who puts a hand on his forehead to say 'ughh disgusting little human.'  He obviously wants to get away from her. 
       She seems to be asking very personal questions because they both look irritated and not sure what to say.  He looked mad now.  Just then I imagined something pretty.  Water.  The sea.  It comes up higher than usual and spits right in Celestia's face getting only her soaked.  And then I let the thoughts come true.  

       "Pfffffhahaha..." I see Melody laughing at her.

      Seivon turns to me and raises and eyebrow.  I shrug and smile.  "Hi...You are warm."  I did not just seriously say something as idiotic as that.

      Regardless, he seems to smile.  His sister walks over with Atlantic and Mivozene kinda following. "Do you... Does anyone you have and extra clothing?  Some water just got all over me."

      "Probably just some sprinklers..." I muttered.  "But whoever turned them on is amazing."

      "Not really." Atlantic disagreed.  "Whoever 'turned' them on is actually stupid for doing that." Ouch, Atlantic.

      "What?  It was funny and however it happened did it right." My brother, Mivozene just complimented me?  He did and was glad and my face was showing it.

        "Of course you would think so." Kaisa scowled.

       "But on a human!" I mentally face palmed myself when he just said human like it was casual.  Humans do not go around refer to others by saying human.  Ashton and Celestia looked confused with the conversation.

       "What does hiding mean to you?  Or blending in?  Announcing things that make you look strange!" Kaisa yelled back at him.
       Oh how I forgot how Kaisa and Mivozene always argued when they were together.

      "Hurry up and desire already!" I grinned looking at the two of them.

      "See!  Even that Mina agrees!" Mivozene looked triumphed with my statement.  Why did he say that?  It was a joke.
       If that did happen....Oh no.  Just no.  That would be a nightmare.

      "You are both insane for thinking that!" Atlantic takes a few steps back.  "Stupid siblings."

     "Yeah no..." I shook my head, "Only I can insult my brother and get away with it."

      "Yeah only Mina can..." He grins before he realized what I said, "Hold a minute--- You, Mina!" He paused.  "Cannot just insult me."

       "Why does he call you Mina?" Celestia looks confused.

      "Because he can." Celestia looked annoyed how I did not even answered her properly, but I did that on purpose.  Mivozene on the other flipper, grins as if I complimented him.  

      "That was an insult." Kaisa whispers to him and he nods as if everything was fine.

      "Are you sure we haven't met?" Celestia looked at Mivozene closely.

      "No." Me, Kaisa, and Mivozene all said at the same time.  Celestia blinked in surprised.

      "How would you two know?"

       "Because that is my brother, I thought everyone knew my lovely brother.  And that let me just say they go way back..." They both glared at me with this information out in the open.

         "Guess what someone at your school is going to be my assistant when doing that.  I do not want to tell people I do not know, but if I did know him before I would." She says trying to make him say something, but again he shook his head.
        He was not gonna lie for something stupid as that.

        "Oh really?  Who?" Ashton asked now curious.

        "Someone that goes by the name Kawamizuno.   Malseania is her first name I think." I looked at Seivon who muttered something under his breath. 
        We all looked awkward, but Mivozene looked like he seen a ghost.  Was he done using her and now she was getting back at him?

      "Ahh her why?" I was the first person to ask the question on everyone's mind.

        "She seemed eager to help with finding out about the seas." She cheerfully replied.
       Too eager if you ask me.

         "Malseania getting involved... ." I sucked in a breath. "Well here's the thing, we do not like her for complicated reasons.  Did I mention how much I hate her?  Well it is a lot and when I hate someone, you will know."  

          Or was all my comments and facial expression of hatred being looked over just as much when Seivon was oblivious to who I was?
