Chapter 36: Mivozene I am the next ruler of Pacific, am I mistaken?

The voice calls out whispering secrets that I never would have known before but now I heard many things that turned out to be true and I can't help but think that they might be true after all.

Miracine Seaton

Waking up to Mivozene get mad at you is one thing. Waking up to your brother sweetly wake you as if you are the best thing in the sea for years until my parents disappearance was another. But waking up to Seivon sleeping next to you is completely different.
Not that I minded. I leaned over cuddling against Seivon. I wish Seivon would sleep with me more. I mean together on a bed not doing anything else.

"Mira.." I heard him whisper.

"What are you doing here?" He raised his eyebrows with my question. "Not that I mind."

"Of course you would not...." I smiled sweetly at him, "But for the record, I just could not possibly leave you alone..."

"Is that so?" He brushed his hand through my hair.

"Yes..." I mumbled into him.

"What time is it?" He asked and I looked down grimly.

"7 am." I mumbled.

"You woke me up at 7 am? An hour nobody wakes up at!" His eyes shot up as his eyebrows arched.

"Yep." I nodded my head. "Oh and I wake up at that time every day since we came here."

"How do you even-" I cut off his words when I got up.

"See you soon." I smiled, preparing to get up and leave.

"Already? Is it because of Megan? She is not going to come in and-" Just then the door handle moved. I did not ever see Seivon move faster. He jumped to the other side of the room banging his head on the floor.
Following the movement, I heard him groan. He laid where the angle of him is not visible. But as the door opened, Megan was not there at all. Instead, there standing was Melody.

"Oh it is just you..." I raised my eyebrows. "What do you want?"

"So demanding..." She mutters dryly. "Where is Seivon?" And she looks at me as if I know the answer. "Stop hiding and come out."
Ah I love how she knows we always know what is going on with the other and where the other is.

"Right here!" I saw a hand stick up.

"On the floor!? Ohhh I see how it is..." Melody smirked knowingly.

"I thought you were your mom. And your mom hates us being together cause she does not trust us for no reason." Seivon explained as he slowly got up.

"What there not to trust about? I do not see what the deal is." I shrugged absent-minded.

Mel turns to me, "Well there is a thing called-"

But I interrupt her, "By the way I might be gone for a little bit. Maybe a day for the longest. I have to go somewhere." I said plainly interrupting what was going on.
I meant to tell him, but then this happened.

"What?" Seivon popped himself back up to where I was laying. "Where to?"

"REvalKAi kyrDEZn de AtLANtic." I told them and they looked at me with blank stares. I tilted my head in confusion. Why where they looking at me like that?

"Jeeeeeeez! Mira... Mira... Mira... Speak in a language we can understand or do not say anything at all." Melody exclaimed putting her arms in the air.

"Oh! Sorry I forgot." I laughed, "Revalkai kingdom, you know is in the Atlantic. It is where Kaisa is from..." I said dryly,
"As unfortunate as it is that she is from there it would be incredible rude of me to not see them."

"Her parents live there? Wow I never seen them. You seen them before haven't you." I shook my head.

"Not personally. My brother used to all the time when he was younger because he was doing things I am now doing. I need to go and maybe everyone will not be mad at me for going here..." I told them, "And I will see you later."
As I left I saw Seivon wave for what seem like awhile and smile the smile that meant I was his world. The best thing in the world.

...

I was swimming. Down to the sea to the country of Rivalkai. Rivalkai was a country made of several towns and villages. I was heading to the royal main town of Rivalkai where a supposed mansion lies that had servants, cooks, guards, lords, ladies, dukes, princes, princesses, a queen and a king.
I never seen it myself, but my brother did. And long time ago when my brother and I were closer, Mivo would tell me of his travels and adventures describing everything to me. I enjoyed every aspect of it.
He never did dared to mention much about the people, although he did say that the princess there reminded him of me, but they never got along and he never liked her.

He would always tell me stories and play fun little games with me... until my father gave him a certain look with him knowing he would have to go. Afterwords I would not of hear from him for a few days.
But Mother and the other fishies in the sea would occupy my time.

When I arrived above the town it was just as he described. Silver shops in lines with cute fish playing in the playsand. Younger mermaids of 5000-7000 meris were playing in the seapark. Other mermaids were decorating or doing whatever their job consist of.
Group of families where together. Some were sent off to school. A little bed of plants with stages consisted of many mermaids and fish singing together every sunrise and sunset. Some more emotional mermaids were smiling, laughing, singing, and dancing. Other unemotional ones were doing those activities, but looked more plain.

It was just as he said it was.

"You would not believe it....There were shops in rows with mermaids singing and dancing for what seemed all day. Mina, it was beautiful there. I mean Kimoshei is wonderful, but there is a different kind of wonderful. It was filled with lightfish and life filled everywhere you looked. Mother and Father you know, they had me go to the mansion of royals. They had me studied there and learn about country affairs to get along with....But I am sure that bores you.
Mina, there was a girl there. I do not know why I am telling you this, but she was so annoying. She kept asking me questions and arguing with everything I told her. She was unbelievable. Besides from her. They all seemed to have an odd expression on their faces. I did not understand what. Was it common there?
It was like an emotion? Mina I heard of things called emotions they say if you spent too much time with certain things you develop them. Sometimes it is fake while other times it is not."

"Really? Tell me more!"

"Well I learned about life forever one. You know it is-"

"Prince Mivozene!"

"Father...." My brother looked at father, "Your Majesty....Is there something you need of me?"

"Unfortunately. I heard there is a lack in one your latest studies from one of your professors... Come here now."

"My studies are high I thought. Wait is it that one with the pierced scales. Wait!" He exclaimed,
"She seems to hate me. She seems to be out to get me. I think she just trying to make me look bad in your eyes. I would never-"

"You thought? You must know. Do not argue! Come now."

He would always tell me stories and great details of what it looked like. I remember father would always get him. Sometimes I thought father did not like him telling me stories.

"Hey Mivo! I have not seen you lately. Have you been busy?"

"Heh...yeah. I....well yeah. I was busy with studies. But I will always be back for you."

"What is with your face? You look as if you are in pain?"

"Oh! What? I am not!" He laughed,
"It just me being busy and never having time with you. No matter what happens I will be there for you. I will protect you. I promise. Until I die, that no matter what happens I will make sure you are safe with me.
Nobody will ever be able to steal you away. No one will be able to divert you attention from me. And when I am leading here I will make sure you are the second highest and anyone who disregards you will face being outcast."

"Mivozeeeeene!" I laughed that day and wasn't taking his words seriously, "Do not be silly. We always be together as the closest siblings ever....as sister and brother."

"Want to know what happened today?"

"Yep!"

"That girl....You know that mermaid who is so annoying. She actually apologized. I am glad she should. She clearly does not know who my parents are. She practically insulted them. But she did something surprising the way she acts and all. Her eyes lit up when she talked about something she knew." He smiled at me,
"She was not completely stupid. She is actually was good as singing and danced with everyone she saw. It was sunset you see and she did the traditional sunset singing and dancing. She actually....she kinda reminded me of you. If you both met I am sure you both be the bestest of friends." He told me warmly.

That day I already made up my mind, "I do not like her. If Mivo hates her than so do I!"

He shook his head in amusement, "Well I do not like her. She is annoying. She just gave me slight reminding of you."

That girl. I never knew who it was until recently these past few months. And I would be seeing her at her home. Kaisa Leison. I wanted to know what all they did there. Studying all the time, I think that would be boring do that constantly. But he went there quite a lot. I still could not believe how he dealt with her. I wonder what her story is.
What is her secret and what did she do when she was younger? I wonder does she have an Atlantic legend? Those questions remained, but what I knew was my dislike for Atlantic would never changed.

I made a whistle with my lips. The royal song that only royals could hum. It was to let them know a royal member or someone of them were here to send their regards. But when the coral shell opened I was surprised to find me face to face with my brother: Mivozene.

Why was he here?

"What are you doing here?" We said at the same time. I could not believe it.
Everywhere I go I see him and I never get a break with all of his checking up on me. I care for him, I do but he is persistent about everything. I love him, really, but I never tell him that to his face.

"To send regards from Kimoshei. I am in the area. I might as well." I shrugged.

"But you realize you do not have to!" He exclaimed, shaking his head, "I thought you knew you can go anywhere, but Rivalkai. I like doing it, and I am relieving you from doing this place."

"Oh please, relieving me?" I laughed dryly, "If I recall correctly you always came here and told me how much you liked it. Now why should I not see how wonderful it is?" I grinned, using his previous words against him.

"Why that the exact reason I should always do this. I like it here so much." I was about to respond when a voice interrupted us.

"Mivozene is that your sweet sister you always spoke of?" A tall mermaid of what seemed to be a servant. He had striking black hair down to his back and white pure scales. His eyes were also sea green.

"Sweet eh?" I grinned looking at the mermaid.

"Shut up." He just said shut up to my brother, I think I am in love.

"It is alright I came, right?" I asked the servant, "Would you tell Their Majesties of Atlantic I am here to see them?"

"Sure, I'll tell them that you have arrived at this....place? Am I right Mivozene? I mean after all you like doing things at this place....And seeing people in this place." He grinned before turning to me.
"It is so good to actually meet you. If you know any dirty secrets about Mivozene be sure to tell me, lovely Pacifican."

"Oh I will!" I waved to him as he left. I turned to face a frowning and scowling Mivozene. "I like him already."

"Just great..." He sighed. "Do not talk to him. He is annoying and I do not want my dear Mina to get involved with him."

"But he is just a servant that you do not like, why would I not?" I exclaimed with a bright smile.

"Miza is Atlantic's butler." My eyes popped opened.
The sweet oceans....

"Of the seaweed, Kaisa...young atlantic has a butler?" He nodded. "And I do not? Why?"

"Uhhhh parents?" He shrugged leaving me alone.

If that was even a proper reason...

~~~
"Younger Pacific?" The Rivalkai princess was surprised to see me. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh you know how we have to send our regards to other kingdoms and especially passing by it would be rude not to." I tell her sweetly, "Besides Mivozene invited me." I smiled innocently.
Kaisa turned to my brother with a look of judgement, "What I did nothing of that" He exclaims giving me a bewildered look of insanity as he pressed his hands together.
"Really Mivozene? It is nice to finally be able to meet your sister....." A voice called out. There she was Her Majesty of the Atlantic Rivalkai. Queen Kakuriza herself.
"Why you-" Mivozene was about to insult me, but I interrupt him.
"Now now you do not want to be rude to Her Majesty Queen Kakuriza de Atlantic, Country of Rivalkai." I tell my brother as I lowered my head to the Queen.
Mermaids with their long royal titles...Am I right?
"Oh no need for that extra long title." She laughed. My eyes widened. This Queen of Atlantic laughed and told me there is no need for a long title. Yet, Kaisa acts nothing like that...
Was it her father? How improper! If my parents were hear they would of scolded me for doing so. "It is nice to finally meet you I heard so much about you."
I looked over and saw my brother, my strong, fierce, so protecting and concerned about me brother looked as pink as a starfish and innocent as a young merphan.
"Wait if that your mother than how come you act all stingy and telling me what best and what to do?!" I pointed my finger at Kaisa. "....Your Highness."
"She just missing something, only the ocean knows what." I stared at Mivozene.
What does he know?
"And since you so kindly invited me how about you show me around?" I threw myself in my brothers arms.
"I did not do anything! You just came because you wanted to and to be honest I'd rather you'd leave." Mivozene exclaimed, "You are always causing problems and I agreed to make everything easier for you if you did not come here."
"But why? Mivo..." I trailed off, "You always had said how you liked it so much here and I wanted to know why it clearly interests you oh so much."
"Mivozene just admires spending his time with me. He simply cannot help my glorious presence." The masculine from before spoke up crossing his arms, smiling smugly.
"Oh shut up." Mivozene rolled his eyes.
"Psss, he actually thinks I am quite striking and is in love with me." The servant whispered, eyes gleaming widely. I chuckled while Mivozene choose to ignore him.
Thinking of a perfect response, I stared at him and said, "Mivozene, I am the next ruler of Kimoshei, am I mistaken?" When I asked that I saw my brother looked down and bit his lip. The queen seemed to shake her head.
"Yes...." He drew out his words, "But you do not understand."
"Oh yeah?" I challenged. "Understand what? As far as I know I understand everything there possibly is."
"No, you do not. You are always doing absolutely absurd things!" He scowled at me, "Whether it is being with humanics or saving them or getting feelings or emotions or purposely doing things just to tick me off!"
"Chill your fins! Ever since....." I trailed off, "ever since the council took away our parents you been acting like this!"
"Took away your parents?" Queen Lynira gasped and turned her head to me.
"Yes, I thought you knew being close with Their Majesties. They were sent on a mission to do something but they failed and they sent them to that the Abandoned Isle of Exile. Well anyway ever since then you been like this!" I crossed my arms,
"You push me around tell me what to do and not giving me a chance to breathe. You told the council everything I ever did wrong when I covered for you for years! You made me look the worse...."
I cried out, "And everyone always concerned for me and thinks I just some weak one, but I am not." I glared at him as I slowly began swimming towards him.
"You just do not understand anything I gone through. Why? Why did you do this to me? Why will you not allow me to actually be happy?"
"Mina... I did not mean to come out that way it is just..." It was like his voice broke, "I mean I...I am just trying to protect you." He reached his arm out.
"Save your innocent words and deceiving lies for someone who can easily be fooled" I swatted his arm away hitting his shoulders angrily.
"Oh...erghhh....creator...of...seas...." I stared at Mivozene who seemed to be in enormous pain after I did that.
"Mivozene!" The queen gasped.
"Oh no." The butler frowned, "Why would she do that?" He scowled. What do they mean by that?
"Mivo!" My eyes widen as I saw his shoulder. "D-did I do that? Mivozene I am sorry I did not mean to and-"
"Mina!" He exclaimed, but I kept talking.
"If something happens to you I do not know what I would do! I think you're annoying but I would never wish ill will on you. But that just proves I am strong!"
"Mina..." He whispered.
"Are you okay? Maybe we should get to Kimoshei so I can help you and-" Suddenly his voice interrupted me.
"MINA!" He shouted.
"Huh?" I looked up from my ranting.
"Shut up. You did nothing. My shoulder have been hurting for years-"
"Those scars..." I looked at his shoulder carefully. That is why he always wore armor on it. It always would hurt him, and if he get hurt it would gravely injure him.
I wonder what happened. It looked severe with a long gash along his shoulder, arm, and upper back.
"It is from....A battle awhile ago that injured me badly. They still hurt..." I sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness you are okay, if something were to happened to you I would-"
"Mivozene....Why?" I heard the butler call out to him, but my brother frowned and said nothing.
"I am fine!" Mivozene reassured everyone. "Jeez stop worrying over meaningless things."
"You are not meaningless!" I jumped at him hugging him as close as I could and dearly as I could.
"You think so? Mina....I want you to be careful. You see there are things I am involved in..." Mivozene made his voice lower, "That I do not want you to get involved with. It is dangerous and it is for the best." I nodded my head.
"But Mivo," I asked, "If there is something really serious you would confine me in it, right?"
"Of course...Mina." There were many things I was never told. There were many things that passed my eyes. Even before our parents were sent on that mission, I saw it in Mivozene's eyes. He had fear within him.
He gotten involved with something dangerous, but I being his sister just smiled and ignored that. Those scars, those late night studies, those times he sneaked out at night, those times I caught him talking to ones I never could see, and the fear he held in the eyes....
"I guess I could show you a little bit..."
