"Seivon I was-" Melody gasped, "I did not want to walk in to that."

We both turn to see Melody there and started laughing.

I turned to see Melody standing there. How long has it been since we left?

Fifteen minutes?
Twenty minutes?

Thirty?
Forty?

I think it was twenty to thirty.

"Mel, what do you want?" I said breathlessly.

"Well now I want more than what I originally wanting to ask you about." Great. Can't Mel just leave? I want to be with Mira. Alone.
I am seriously frustrated. If Mel or Ash could hear my thoughts they would say sexual frustrated.

"I was hoping you would stay away after saying that... What were you thinking?" Mira suddenly glared at Mel. What happened to make her upset? I thought back to one of her last conversations with Melody...

"Ah yes, I get what you mean. I never actually heard Mira speak of what happened. And from what she already knew and background information on the event, I was so sure she would have a great opinion that would be the closest to the truth.

"Ye...ah okay." Mira nudged or jabbed Mel on her way past her.

"Oww what was that for?"

"You know exactly why."

"Mel just stop." She darted her eyes between us and hesitated for a moment.
What is she doing?

"Are you together? Wait...did you tell her? I swear if you did not I will make you-"

"I told her." I stated with a smile.

"Wait how come she gets to know you knew first?" Mira crossed her arms and frowned so adorably.

I shrugged not knowing how to answer. "Finally! You both been stupid and I have been watching in the sidelines. Mira why did you make him try to figure it out."

"He is the stupid one not me." Ouch. They love calling me stupid don't they?
"And I would have died if I just told him. Like I can not just tell Ashton, and I do not plan to anyway."

"Something we both agree on!" Mel exclaimed when she bonded over another thing with her.

"Mel shush. You're being annoying." I groaned as I had to sit/stand through this conversation.

"So are you together." Mel asked in excitement because some reason one of her best friend and other friend-- well I think they are friends-- are together.

"Yeah." I answered without thinking.
We acted like we were dating for one in a half months and it was not until the middle of the second month we didn't see each other or didn't do any of that.

"Wait we are?" Mira asked in surprise. Does she not think we are? Maybe I just lo-like her more than she likes me.

I heard Melody snort. "Oh my gosh you two..." She shook her head. Please don't scream. Please don't scream. Please don't sc- "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!" My poor ears.

"We are." I whispered to Mira as I casually laid my arm around her. I saw her eyes glowed when I said that.
At once it was as if she was feeling joyful or perhaps blissful. She just looked so divine. I sighed thinking about her.

"So I was going to say that Ashton is seriously being so crazy and was wondering what was taking so long." And when is he not dramatic or crazy?

"When is he not?" I boredly muttered

"I mean when my mom comes over!" Mel exclaims and I laugh. Her mom was very entertaining to say the least. But she loved me, I knew that.

"Good luck with that," I laughed, "and why are you still here? Run along now."

"W-what why?" I gave her an irritated look. "Oohh...." Yeah 'oohh.' She finally left, but I knew that was not the last of her.

Mira looked worried for a bit and seemed to be thinking something. "Hey...What's wrong?" I placed my hand on her cheek.

"It is nothing...I just thought of something." As bad as it is, I didn't believe her. She was hiding something...again.
I hated how she was like this. She always was reserved when she looked like a human, keeping secrets.

"Fine...If that is what you say." I walked away from her. At the corner of my eye I saw her looking confused. In a way I feel terrible, but I need her to trust me.
It wasn't until I saw Ashton and Melody inside. Oh so they are here? Since when....did Melody ever leave?

"Seivon? Where is Mira?" I shrugged not answering. Melody than gave me a look. "You two are the most stupid people I ever met!"

"What do you mean? I was just kinda upset, I did not do anything." I put my hands up. As far as I knew Miracine was trying to find her way and most likely had no clue where anything was.

"Wait you and Miracine? Haven't you been dating this entire time?" Ashton asked. Oh how I wished, but no as confusing as it may be we weren't until now and I am not even sure what we are.

"Can I decorate? You know for the holidays?" Melody suddenly says gleeful. Holi-oh yeah that was why we were here. But I don't know I like it the same....

"I don't know...I just-" I took a deep breath and sighed.

"Well how about the outside? And a tiny tree!" Melody pleaded and pleaded until I had no choice.

"Alright..." I sighed giving up. "Just don't draw attention from other people."

"I promise! This will be so fun! Blue and purple lights on the polls and blue and purple around the roof. I do only blue and purple decorations and then a-"

"Violet. Not Purple." In the doorway was Miracine and I smiled at her. I still was going to talk to her about that, but I was not going to bring it up here.

"Ah yes violet!" She agreed with Mira. "And silver trees with an angel on top." Melody clasped her hands together in excitement.

"Come on let's go outside!"

"Wait Mira..." I turned to Melody and Ashton. "We'll be there in a second you go ahead."

She leaned into me, skin cold as ever. "Seivon? Before today I never thought I would miss you, but I did. Every day and after that day.... for meris on until I saw you again." Meris? I wonder what that is.

"I feel like you don't trust me...I waited for awhile to find this out, but I understand why you never said that. But some things I would have to find out, but your expressing to something someone says, like Kaisa for example..." She looked at me sadly.

"I do trust you...I do! I just...There are things I am not comfortable telling. I just I done things you hate me for..." She lowered her head,
"I'm scared, Seivon. I don't want you to hate me. I feel uncultured, but what I say and did is apparently disapproved of in human lifestyle."

"Mira...What you did I forgave you. As terrible as you think it is I believe you...I know it is true, but I can't help but still want to be with you."

"Yeah?" She smiled slowly. "I guess I will try to tell you things I am allowed to share with you and I rather if you not bring Atlantic into this..."

"So it does have to do with Kaisa?" His eyes glimmered in the light.

"And my brother. They are spamming that device machine that humans use....the flown? Frone? Froat? Phone! That." I laughed at her. "Hey!"

"I'm sorry, I am listening, but you are too cute. It's called a phone Mira." I smiled as I put my arms around her.

"Well anyway they are kinda mad cause I came without saying anything to my brother." I looked at her, she was insane, but I do really have something for her.
What was it? I don't know. It was undefined, but something great.

"I understand completely."

"Alright, we should go."

"Yeah....But before." I cupped her cheeks kissing her. I couldn't stop trying to kiss her, could I? I was kissing her again, she was kissing me. I was bringing her closer than anyone could possibly be closer.
Everything was better than anything I'd ever experience. Here being with her, and this trip and I am so glad we decided to go with it.

Just then I heard a faint buzz from the counter. Oh great. I looked over and saw Melody's name popped up.

"Seivon, ignore it!" She grinned and I smiled.

"I was planning to. It is just Mel." I tell her. It wasn't a big deal. Although she seemed kinda mad.

"Well... You have some nice messages." Miracine glances at my phone. I forgot what our last conversation was and how Mel's wording was so blunt. Oh and impatient.

"Don't." I warned.

"What?" She fakes surprise. "I was not going to say.... anything about the messages I mean why would I and they seem normal and why would I be surprised with them?"

"You're cute." I kissed her cheek.

"Speaking of messages maybe you should take a look at them. It sounds bad, but it could be nothing." I held her and I would try to comfort her as much as I could.

"Oh Miracine....." I reached and touched her hand leading it into her pocket. She took out her 'Frone'. I saw the messages and I felt her worry, it does sound bad, but this is her brother. Her manipulated, selfish, uncaring brother who hates me and other people that aren't mermaids.
He also caused many people to die just to bring justice for those few people who might've been people who captured mermaids on that ship. So I could loathe him so much, but because he is Miracine's brother I will be nice around him and forgive him.

"Your frone, you don't have to pay attention to. Just us and this place. Nothing else matters while we are here." I grinned at her.

"Oh be quiet! I am not used to things like that!" But then her eyes gleamed when she thought of what I said.

"Come on, I think we should go." I finally tell her.

"You think?" She laughs

"I mean I..."

"We should, but it does not mean we have to.." Miracine grinned.

"Since when did you did things that you shouldn't?" I raised my left brow.

"Since I have been seeing you... Since you told me to ignore what the council thinks.... Since you told me our time here is just for us and nobody else outside of here to come and ruin it.... but I do not blame you for it." She made another cute face at me.

"I can accept that."

"But you know I think I should say you are-" Her voice got interrupted by a crash making her jump closer to me.
Not that I minded of course.

"What is that?" I asked her, but she didn't know either.
She suddenly bit her lip and fear struck her eyes. I could not begin to think why?

"We need to go. Come on!" She pulled on my arm. "I am afraid it is them. We need to go and if you are with me that is no better excuse for my brother." I nodded giving her a smile.

We arrived where Melody was through my phone's tracking. It was actually useful for once. Mira was huddled up besides me nervous as ever.

"Hi Mel...." I waved. She completely ignored us. She didn't even move, okay that was a lie. Her ear twitched and they seemed to be boiling with anger. Okay she was mad.

"Melody? What is wrong?" Miracine asked so innocently.

"Your stupid boyfriend that is what!" So she decides to talk to Mira and not me?

"You do realize it was Mira's idea to stay longer." I laughed at Mel's anger.

"You kissed me first." She is as blunt as Mel.

"But don't you remember?" I casually put my arm around her. "You said we should go, but did not have to after I said I think we should go."
Yeah, never get into a blame game with me.

"You both are so funny." Melody admired us dearly.

It was snowing a lot and everyone was staring at Mira. She was out of the ordinary wearing as if it was summer. The clothes she was wearing earlier she took off to dry since I kinda got them soaked with water.
"People are staring at you because you aren't wearing warm clothes..." I whispered to her. She looked surprised and turned her head to other people who were in fact starring.

"Who cares, let them stare." She whispered back. We started to walk away from a bunch of people anyways when Ashton paused.

"I am going to be right back do not go anywhere." Ashton who has been surprisingly quiet this entire time, spoke up before leaving.

Then I felt very weird. I had no clue why. My head seemed to hurt and it was making me dizzy like I wanted to rest, but why...? And that is when I realized something.
A sudden burst of water plowed into the middle of the area. And just as quick was Kaisa and accompanying her was no other then Mira's brother that I do not loathe at all, Mivozene.

I saw Melody drop. Refusing to give in to this power, I held onto Mira with one hand clinching onto her pendant. It would help, I just know it.

"What a surprise!" Kaisa exclaimed, "It seems now you are in my country and being in my country I can do whatever I want to you, if only we were back in the country you reign so that I would not be able to do this..." I did not understand why would Miracine reign back home and don't they lived in the sea?
Maybe it was some mermaid code? Yeah that has to be it. Miracine seemed stiff and unsettling. It was something Kaisa said wasn't?

"What do you want?" Miracine asked.

"Oh sister I want a lot and most of those are explanations and the rest is well you are already aware of it including some of it having to do with your crown...." Wait crown? Mira?
Is he saying that Mira is.....That is it! That explains why everything mermaids did to her and acted around her!
Wait but isn't her brother older and from philosophy wouldn't it be him instead? And Miracine did not want me to know.....

"Be quiet. Leave now." I told him, I know he won't kill me in front of Miracine.

"Oh what is this?" His eyes popped out in surprise. "A humanic is telling me what to do? How pathetic!"

"Shut up Mivozene! You are annoying, selfish brother who does not care for me at all, and you always lie and manipulate me to get what you want!" Miracine got her pretty little thoughts under control and stepped forward. She was now confidant in what to say.

"It seems he knows now.....great, but there is one thing for us to do now...." Mivozene turned to Kaisa.

"But he does not know of something else that will destabilize them forever......Miracine, is the princess of the Kimoshei kingdom and you know and she knows she cannot be with you for that reason. The other reasons well it is stupid and humanics and mermaids do not belong together!"
Miracine eyes widened and started running off to I have no idea where. No wait! I pleaded with my eyes.

"Miracine!" I called out for her, but she ignored my cries.
