I wondered what would happen if things were different.
What would it be like.
Would I still meet her in the same circumstances.

Seivon Rivers

      "So this is where the so-called demon is?" Melody spoke up breaking the silence.

     "That is what they claim." We were moments and minutes away from the room.  I was about to find out if it was her and who she really was.

      "I am telling the truth!  There was someone there. But I could not tell who it was or what it was because it all of the sudden got dark." Dark huh?  Can she mess with light or was it a spirit?

      "They even said some creepy things just right as the lights turned off." Creepy? 
      I am not one to judge someone, but they seem to get creeped out by anything.

     "All we could see was an eye that was glowing redish pink."  She had a second eye. 
     Wait is it not normal to have two eyes, but it would switch between marine blue as she would call it to magenta.

     "More like Magenta." There they go.  Now they are getting their colors right.

     "Somebody in here?!"  I called stepping into the room much to the two girls dismay.  Oh they were freaking out.  It was honestly hilarious.

     Melody turned on the light switch that flickered when it turned on.

      "The purple haired one is the demon!" The first girl exclaimed.  In front of us bending down was Miracine.
      What? 

       "What?  D-demon?  Where?!"  Miracine freaked out entirely jumping feet in the air.

      I looked over at Melody who was grinning.  What is with her?

     "Wait this entire time she has been a spirit?" Melody looked at me with that face I began to recognize a little too well. 
      The 'are you dumb' look was the one she gave me.  Yeah that was something dumb to say.  But if she not a spirit then what is she?

     "Why are you guys looking at me like that?" She smiled.  "I accidentally dropped my.....books?" 
     She was still turned around.  She seemed to be hiding something.

       "Are you hiding something?" I asked her.  For some reason seeing her lifted my mood, it was not like she was the mermaid or anything.  Well I don't think so, right?

    "What?  Me?  Well maybe I am....Maybe I am waiting for someone, maybe I am waiting for that person to open their eyes and realize what is in front of them..." She whispered secretly.
     Okay what is this nonsense?  She began to go passed us.

   "Wait!" She turned around.

    "No, I do not need help with any studying right now if that is what you were going to ask."  I wasn't even thinking about that. 
      What she said it was just strange.   Maybe she decided to actually be herself.

     "I was going to ask if you....want to come with me and Mel?" Come with me and Mel that is the most idiotic thing I'd ever said. 
      Why am I acting like this?  It isn't because the last time I spoke to her is it?

      Melody gave me a funny look but then proceeded to say,"I am going to a party.  Seivon will also be going.  You want to come?" Melody thank you for that.

    "Uhhh sure...What is a party?" Did I hear that correctly?

     "Ummm something people go to for fun.  You know dancing, games, hanging out, movies, ect?" Melody quickly said.

     "Ohhhh....yeah!" I wasn't convinced she knew that, but I let it slide.
    "So who is all going besides you two?"

     "Ashton probably will be there and... Kaisa might or might not." Melody tells Miracine, "Sometime she says certain things are not usually her thing as she puts it."

      "And Malseania?" She frowned as she spat out her name.  There was definitely something going on between them that I have yet to find out.

     "Oh...uhhh she is not going." I awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck.  I did not tell them I broke up with Malseania.
       I didn't want Melody to scream and say 'Finally now you can be with your mermaid.  Omg this is so amazing!'  Yeah I have a good impression of what she is like.

      "Good she will be annoying to deal with."  Miracine commented, not hiding her disgust for her.  We all walked out of the classroom leaving those two girls there. 
       It was most likely false news or she already left, right?

      "Hey guys....." Ashton came over to us.  Was something wrong?  Did my sadness transfer to him?  I didn't want that.

    "You didn't come with Kaisa?" Melody asked him in shock.

     "No... She is with that strange new student." Ugh him.  Oh no what if he figure out who I am and is going to hate me because what I said.  But she wouldn't do that.

    "Speaking of...." Melody trailed off as they came closer.  I noticed Miracine shifting uneasily.

   "Ah there you are, darling!" That Mivozene exclaimed making me groan.

   "For the last time do not call me some stupid name!" Miracine rolled her eyes.

    "Mira...you should be nicer." Kaisa told her.  N-nicer to him?  He is the cruelest person in the world, sorry Violet.

    "What is with you?  You defending him?  Wait are you..." Miracine teased her.

     "Huh?  What!  No!  No!  How dare you think of something like that.  I am just saying because it would be good to get along.  Besides I would never, not even in a millennium do that!" Kaisa exclaimed all jumpy.
     I have no idea what they are talking about, but Mira must of asked her an implied question that made her all jumpy.

     "That hurts me strongly." Mivozene frowned.  I couldn't help but chuckle at that.

    "Want to come to a party today?  It's at Cent. Apart. Firstwood Residence 2791." Melody decided now was a good time to ask it with that guy here.  What if he decides to come?

    "Who is all going?" Kaisa asked the same question as Mira.

      "I'm in.  You didn't have to ask."  Ashton grinned.

     "Us four, so far." Melody answered.

     "Yeah you, Melody, Ashton, and Mira is going?  That is.....interesting." Kaisa turned to Mivozene who seemed to be glaring at someone.
      It was probably me.  She muttered something else to him before turning to us.  "I will come.  Do not worry."

     "...I will too and none of you will stop me."  Pacific's brother told us.  Great just everything I was trying to avoid.  What is next Kaisa goes off and invites Malseania?

      "Is Malseania coming?  I'm sure she would love to come!" How wonderful.  Kaisa you are kinda getting on my last nerves.

       "Actually I hadn't asked....." Melody honestly told her.

     "I will ask her, come on Mivo!" She grabbed him by the sleeve leaving.

     "Wait! Don't.. great." I muttered, sighing.

    "What is it?"  Ashton turned to me.

     "Uhhh I kinda maybe just broke up with her but nothing else.  I am also kinda mad at her for something I found out she did, so there is that too..." I trailed off as I rubbed my neck and explaining vaguely.

      "You did!" Melody exclaimed quite excited.  Oh here it comes. 
      "Ohmigowsh!  Finally, it was going on for way too long now we have some planning to do!"

      "I am busy." I stated.

      "Busy?  To see me and plan?  Me your best friend, your best friend that you absolutely love?" She exclaimed, putting her hand on her forehead dramatically.

      "Shut up.  My best friend is Ashton.  At least he doesn't think I am a girl." Maybe I spent more time with Melody, but she kinda thought I was a girl sometimes.

      "Wait you are a girl?" Ashton looked at me wide eyed.

       "Nevermind...." I trailed off, "He is too stupid.  Miracine is my best friend!"  I put my arm around Miracine in the way Melody did to me earlier except with Miracine she was closer to my height. 
     Ashton looked betrayed with me.  Melody looked at me as if something was funny.

       "Huh?" I guess she wasn't paying attention.  Now that I think about it ever sense Kaisa asked who was coming she has been looking down deep in thought.

      "It is a joke, you all are my friends.  I am just messing with you guys." I grin.

      "I don't think the reason you gave for Ashton is valid though.  You can not be talking that you are not his best friend because he is stupid!"  Melody pointed her finger at me.

       "I'm not stupid!  Don't call me that.  Stop acting like I am dumb." I complained, "I am not, I just have harder time with figuring out things that aren't school subject jeez!"

    "Well maybe we need to make it a school subject." Melody look at me grinning and I sighed.

     "What are we talking about?" Ashton spoke up ending Melody's... whatever it was.

     "Nothing, let's go, school is almost over anyways." I sighed.

   "Wait it is seventh?  I missed gym awwwww.  Ha like I care.  I usually sit with Kaisa anyways."  Miracine complained fakely.

Miracine Seaton

      To say I was nervous was an understatement.  I was a nervous wreck.  Seivon practically put his arm around  me and I felt the heat of his skin arm my neck at once. 
      And to say when I found out he ended it with Malseania made me even happier.  But he said 'Now that no one is here I am going to tell you the truth....I realized I don't like you.' 
      I thought maybe he realized he actually do like Malseania and was confused between me and her, but now that he ended it....What does it mean?  But then later he told me to wait and he did not mean it.  Maybe if I let him continue he was going to say something else that explains everything.
        I am just upset with him for that but at the same time I want to be with him.  I guess I will make up by parting.... Oh and bring Mivozene because that is a good idea.  This is the worse.  Whatever as long as we play games I think it is fine.

       "Miracine!"  Stupivon-I mean Seivon threw me out of my thoughts.  But since it was him I didn't mind.

       "Yes?" I looked over at him.

        "I'm sorry for not realizing it sooner, but you are her."  My eyes widen had he finally realize?  Is everything coming to an end.  Is it all finally better? 
       Will we finally be able to be together?  Will we fight from the spirits together and never let go of each other?

"I am-"

     "What did you say?"  He starred at me in confusion.  Wait what happened?  Oh that didn't happen did it?   
       Great why did I have to imagine it?  Why couldn't it actually happen.

      "Oh uh nothing." I sighed as I walked to the double doors to exit this school.  We were meeting outside and carpooling.  Oh yeah Ashton drives.

     "How are you planning for everyone to exactly fit?" Seivon turned to Ashton.  He had not thought of that yet.

      "Don't worry we will think of something." He told us, determined.

      "I know the smallest people can sit on each other!" Ashton wonderfully spoke out with his excellent idea.

     "I'm driving!"  Melody protested when all of our heads turned to her petite figure.

       "How about Mivozene and Malseania just not come?" Seivon said darkly.  Finally he sees Malseania is a new light.  Her fakeness was bothering me. 
     How is he so blind?  But he really doesn't like Mivozene, does he?

     "We'll manage.  I'll take my sister's car."  Problem solved.

      Melody ended up not driving.  She only said that so she wouldn't have to sit on someone or someone sit on her.  Ashton was driving.  As crazy as he is, yeah I know.  I don't know whose smart idea was that, but we have to deal with it. 
      Next to him was Kaisa.  Behind Kaisa was dear o' brother, and next to Mivozene was Malseania.  Then Melody, me, and Seivon were in the back.  It was so peaceful and quiet I could almost fall asleep.

      "So whose smart idea let Malseania come?  The only reason I tolerated her was because of Seivon." Melody spoke up. 
     Oh I wasn't the only one.  That is a relief.

     "How dare you!  I thought you understood me..." Malseania wiped fake tears from her eyes.

"Malseania calm down and stop being dramatic." Kaisa told her bluntly.

     "Yeah I'm with Atla....Atlas dictionary smart girl person." I had to bite my tongue from bursting out into laughter.  Nice odd save.

     "Mivozene, can I have it now?" Malseania sat up straight looking at him.

      "No, you are not finished." My brother told her.

       "Finished?  There is a time limit?  What else you want me to do?" She exclaimed in complaint.

      "One last thing besides you know how very well I trust your kind."  his hatred for humans never leave.

      "Y-you still don't trust me?  You just want me to do everything for you huh?" Malseania was filled to the grim with anger.

     "Precisely." My brother replied.

      "You don't even deny it?" Malseania looked shocked.

     "That is right." He whispered.

      "I hate you so much." Malseania had her hands in fists.

    "Now is that any way to get the odds in your favor?" Malseania shook her head.  I almost felt bad for her.  But I didn't.  Key word being almost.

     "Right..." I looked between my left and right and saw Melody and Seivon having a silent conversation with their eyes. 
     Next time I see Seivon as a mermaid I am going to forgive and tell him to forget about that entire conversation and whatever he was going to say.

       "I know!  Let's play Eye-Spy!" Ashton shouted excitedly.  Okay this is my queue to fall asleep....

Seivon Rivers

Oh please not any more. 
    Ashton is killing me.

    "Eye..... spy..... something...... violet.... with....my ....little.... eye." He was talking slow as he can be.

    "Dude speak faster you are killing us!" I exclaimed sighing.

     "Jeez you talk like that sloth from Zootopia.  What did you see that movie recently and decided you wanted to impersonate Flash?" Melody starred at him wide eyed. 
     There it is Melody's famous references.  Whatever you say she will find a quote of some cert or think of something that reminds her of someone.

     "Did you actually say violet?" I looked over at Mira who seemed quite chirpy.  "Someone actually said violet and not purple!  Finally.  It is my hair....right?" It turned out it was. 
     But we finally got Ashton to stop his crazyness along with that stupid game.

      We was driving for what seemed like forever.  It was so long Ashton switched seats with Kaisa.  Does she even have a license being a mermaid for eternity?  If only my moments with Pacific lasted that long. 
      I sighed.  Melody was on her phone and Mira, yeah I've been calling her Mira lately and she doesn't mind it.  Everyone almost calls her that.  Well Mira had her eyes closed and she looked sincere.  I wonder what she was going through. 
     I know she is and she puts on that mask never to show her real self.  I wonder what it is?  But I do wish to help her.  She is slightly leaning on me, but for some reason I didn't mind.  She is special to be able to hide things without anyone finding out. 
       One day I am going to figure everything out and save her for her sadness.  I could just tell this morning she was sad and looked worse than I and then I couldn't think straight and felt miserable of what my Violet mermaid thought of me.
      It still pains me and next time I see her I am just going to tell her the truth.  No delays, just straightforward, without any interruptions.

     "Kaisa....I need to tell you something." Pacific's brother turned to her.

     "Not now Mivozene," She hushed him, "Tell me later."

      "Later it might be too late!" Mivozene told her violently.

     "What do you mean too late?  Are you planning to leave?" She turned to him in surprise.
     If he leaves I will celebrate.

     "Maybe...." She trailed off mysteriously, "Will you miss me?"

     "No, I will finally be free of you harassing me." She scowled at Mivozene, "You are so annoying, I just cannot stand you."

     "Do you know how much that hurts?" He widen his eyes at her shocking statement.

    "You feel something?" She laughed dryly, "I thought you could not feel anything.  I thought I recall you saying how numb you are."

     "First let me tell you something...." Mivozene whispered.

    "Urghh fine what is it!" Kaisa gave in.

     "Do not trust that Jacobs.  He is planning to do something to you, I just sense and feel it." Kaisa eye were wide and she gasped in shock.
     Thankfully Ashon wasn't paying attention....

      Nobody said anything afterwords for a long time.  I took that moment to scroll onto a photo album that had a password to look at it.  Can you guess what the pictures are of?  If you said mermaid you are correct.  That is right, I am looking at photos of her.  Don't worry she is fully clothed as mermaid she can be.
      I mean she technically only has a shirt like thing on....basically a mermaid-seaish shirt and a tail in these.  Finally, whoever decided life continue spoke.  We arrived.

    As everyone got out, I shook Miracine gently.  When she opened her eyes I swear I thought I saw a redish glow from her eye, but it was probably nothing.

    "Erhmmm...." She stretched her arms.

    "We are here.  Come on."  She nodded her head getting out.  I saw Kaisa say something to Mira in which she frowned to.  I wonder what that was about.

     We stepped through the door when we heard some kind of music playing.  I could not recognize it.  It was probably some random modern day current song.  Honestly the music these days I can't get into.
      I just don't really like them.  But songs that came out not as recent sounds better and are easier to dance to.  And don't be like 'Ok Boomer' I am seventeen, born on January 3.  Not the 1950s or whenever those people were born.

     "Woohoo!  This music is the best." Melody exclaimed with her arms in the air.  "Come on this way, I heard they're playing some of those fun games."

     We were among some others were in a group. Melody had the excellent idea to go and join some games.  So as usual we all did the same thing.  We all got a piece of paper and wrote something.  We then put the papers in the middle.

    "Alright." A voice said. " I will ask someone and the person will have to do a truth or a dare that is written in each pile."  There were many people that were here besides us.  I wonder how this will turn out.

    "What is truth or dare...?" I heard Mira leaned into Melody's ear.

   "Alright I will pick up a paper! ...It says:

Truth:  Say three things that annoy you the most about one of your friends.

     If I get chosen I'd probably have trouble choosing who annoys me more.

    "Oooooh!" The people in a circle cried out excitedly.

    "Alright the person who will do this truth is........." The spinner stopped at Kaisa. 
     Well this gotta be interesting.  Yeah, I don't have that little voice inside my head that tells me to stop.

   "This person I guess I call her my friend.  It annoys me how she does not believe anything when I tell her it was not me, it annoys me how she never stops until her goal is reached, it annoys me how she break rules and do not care regardless of what punishment she will get."  Kaisa stated firmly.
   Was she talking about Violet?  I turned to see Melody's and Mira's faces and they were soften.

    "Wow...That is wonderful!" Someone exclaimed happily.
    Who is this person?  She sounds like a teacher who is excited about the littlest things.

     "My turn to read it." Kaisa picked up a paper.  "Truth.  If you had to choose, would you accept a free trip to the United States for just yourself or a trip up a mountain with your boyfriend?" She spun the spinner and it landed on Melody.  Is it purposely trying to land on everyone in our group?

     "Wow okay...uhhh jeez this is hard.  I mean I heard romances happen in the United States, but honestly that place sounds terrible right now.  I mean I heard everyone is always fighting about school, government, politics, and so much." Mel sighed and shook her head,
    "It is just stressful and they dwell over stupid matters. So I guess the mountains if I had a boyfriend."

     "What if you could not stand your boyfriend and wanted to end it but then you had the option of that?"  Miracine cuts in.

      "Well maybe I'll go to the mountains and then while I am there I break up with him and abandon him.  If I am lucky I might even find a new one!"  Mel exclaims optimistically.  She seriously has never dated and she talking about all of this.

    "You're impossible, how do you think like that, but never ever been with someone!" I exclaimed, "What a joke!"

      Melody rolled her eyes. "You're one to talk."

     "Pffffff W-what?  You have no idea what your talking about!?" I laughed awkwardly.  Why does she have to be right?

      "Next one....Let's hope this lands on you Seivon..... You are now a cat, scratch your ear with your foot." I stared at her.

      "You're joking right?  There is no way I am doing that." Melody laughed at my protests.  She is unbelievable.  

       It landed on Mivozene.  I couldn't help but snicker.

     "You're funny to think I would do one like that, I pick my own." He reached into the pile and got one.  "Finish all your sentences with humdrum for the next four rounds.  This is even worse."

       "No, no Mivo you have to do the second one since you demanded to have another." Kaisa grinned at him.  Good for her.

     "But what on earth is even a humdrum?" He exclaimed with a loud voice.

       "Ah good you're doing it." Kaisa clapped her hands happily.

    "What!" She exclaimed in shock, "No, I do not even know what is a humdrum."

     "You're still doing it." She said in a sing-song voice.

    "Erghh shut up how could you be so annoying!?" Mivozene glared at Kaisa. "....Humdrum."

      "Annoying?  You're the annoying one.  And don't call me an annoying humdrum!" Kaisa crossed her arms and their conversation ended.

     "Alright, this paper says...." Mivozene grinned.  "What is the most illegal thing you really done?  If only I picked that one up when I choose my own paper." He spun the spinner. 
       It spun and spun until it finally slowing down it was near some random people...then Melody....and stopping at Mira.

        "What is considered illegal here?  Well.... I guess you could say I was an accomplice to watching someone letting many die that I didn't even know was going to happen."  She twirled her fingers slowly. 
      Wait what?  She seem people die to one's own hands?  Isn't that serious and you could be in prison for years?

       For some odd strange reason Mivozene's face was in rage.  What did she do to you?  Kaisa also looked slightly off. "W-what did you say?" Kaisa held fear in her eyes.

     Then unfortunately as I have to say it, Malseania, she started laughing.  "Does that bother you?  Oh what is wrong?  It is like you have a guilty conscience."  What is she getting at?
      Does she know something everyone else doesn't?

      "You are one to talk." Kaisa frowns.

     "Me?  I mean speaking out like this you both must got some gall."

     "You know you should consider yourself lucky that you are the first.  If you did not know then you would not be here still with us.  You would of been like the others....stupid humdrum." Mivozene told my ex.
      But the thing that bothers me is the way he said others.  What does he mean by that? 
     Has he done things to many people and she is just lucky she survived?  I may not like her, but she has to deal with some messed up things that make me turn.

    "Well....I uh..."

     "As surprising as it is, I agree with Malseania." Miracine cut in.  Wait, what?  She is agreeing with Malseania? 
     Pffffff.  I should've known better, I am not living reality anymore.  The world has ended, I am dead, everything is upside down.

    "Speaking of which...why is everyone so upset?  I mean Miracine just said a truth and everyone got so cold to each other.... Unless you know something about who she watched let people die?  If that is not the case then we should continue." Melody smiled sweetly. 
    Another of Melody's theories.  How would them doing something to humans be the one Mira watched let people die?  They never met before she went here.

    "What no," she waved her hands in front of her face, "It does not relate... I am sorry I shouldn't have.  Just Malseania said something that surprised me.  I wouldn't have guessed she knew."  Kaisa told her in a code-like way.

     "Well I am thinking that instead of doing this paper way that we should do the original way."

    "You mean asking someone ourselves?" A random girl spoke up.

    "Yeah and Miracine should start by asking." One of the others came up with.

     "Alright if I can ask anyone...." Mira trailed off placing her fingers on her chin.  Her eyes brighten as if she got an idea.
     "Sweet Kaisa....choose dare or truth."

      "Tru...Wait no dare." Kaisa answered allowing Mira hands to clap so pleasantly.

      "Whichever person you happened to kiss last.... share the photo your friend has to everybody." Kaisa eyes went wide.

     "That is just blackmail!" Kaisa exclaimed with her eyes all wide.
     "You cannot do that.  OUT OF CONTEXT!"

     "Wait I will give you a more preferable one since you can not stand it.  Kaisa, the person directly across from Malseania and right from that person...Kiss them on camera." Melody grinned.
      I did not know she was into that.  The person across from Malseania was a girl and to the right of them was Mivozene.

      "Wait that is-" Kaisa looked in horror when she realized who it was.

      "Oh I just got a paper from that pile we made sense I usually can not think of things on the spot.  What an interesting piece...." Miracine smile was filled with an eerie expression.

       Sometimes I can never know what she is thinking, but she strikes me as someone I for some reason want to get to know way more....
      Just so much more and I don't know why she strikes me as someone different from the rest.

Long chapter, but I will soon put out Kaisa's story after I am done with this one or maybe when I have written all of them.

 "Oh Atlantic I will have you know that I am one of the famous knights and council member of our Mermaid Council. Everyone knows me and everyone wants to be me and you should be honored that I have graced you with my presence."

"Honored? Are you joking?" The atlantic princess raised her eyebrow. She couldn't believe him. "Why would I ever be honored to see you? You are annoying always acting high and mighty and so goldfish irritating! How can anyone stand being with you?"

"I am completely sincere. Besides I think you should take up on my offer..."

"I think not! What happened to you? You used to be nice and sweet and c- and quiet."

"People change when people do things to you." The male mermaid spoke sadly as the atlantic princess felt almost bad for him that moment.

"No excuse...Maybe I could help you...if you want I could-"

"I do not need anyone's help!" He yelled causing her to jump back.

"Fine I guess I won't even try being nice to you."

"Wait! What where you going to say? You were about to say something about me but then you said quiet..?"

"N-nothing!" She blushed. "Just do not say anything to me. We both do not like what Pacific is doing so we can work together, but nothing else should happen!"

"Since we are going to be working together I have one last proposition. Try avoiding that Jacobs humanic, he is up to something to do with you and I do not trust him at all."
