Miracine Seaton

      I raised my hands up laying across the sea.  My tail was visible on the surface.  My hair was laying behind me.  I was doing what humans might call floating.  For them it was energy wasting and for us it takes nothing to do it.
    Ahh this is why mermaids are so much better than being humanics.  But I can look like both so I am like a super mermaid....Wait no that sounds incredibly dumb.  I am like a part-time human!

     I feel more relaxed now.  Water helps with everything.  I better get out now and grab the towel I put around me.  I lifted myself out and wrapped the towel all over me.  I patted myself down, drying myself.

     Ughh this takes so long.  Like it should be as soon as I get out of water I will be able to look like a human.  But no it takes awhile.  It takes forever...Like a very, very long time.  Thankfully, with this nice towel is takes less time. 
     Finally I start to feel my fin split into two and my scales turning into flesh.  And if Kaisa ask I could just say I accidentally got some water on me.  I stood up and as I was about to go inside I saw two figures in the distance.

     They were kissing and getting up all against each other's space.  As I went inside I noticed it was not just any two.  It was not Seivon and Malseania which I was thankful for.

   In front of me was two I was surprised to see together and it was something I would rub in their faces forever.  I took out that phone machine and took a picture.  I could really get into the blackmail industry.

   "Mivozene......and A-atlantic?" I muttered out loud.  At once they noticed me and separated immediately.  Atlantic crossed her arms and looked irritated.  Mivozene had a look of smugness in his eyes. 
    "Mivozene what are you doing here?" I was still kinda annoyed at him for this morning.

    "Like it or not I decided to enroll because you certainly like it so much.  I mean if you like it a lot than I will probably like it to, Mina."  Mivozene gleamed proudly.  Him, here and enrolled. 
That is a nightmare.

     "Mivo we have different versions of what we like.  Just because I like something does not mean you would.  What are you planning?" I frowned giving him my hardest glare.

    "I am not planning anything, sweet Mina." Ughhk why does he call me that?

     "Fine but luckily for me I got a picture of blackmail.  What would the council of elders say if they saw that?  And if they did not hear from the source itself.  Now that would be unfortunate."  Mivozene eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their socket.

   "DELETE IT!  Look it was out of content.  He was annoying me!  I was looking for you and then he just did that." Kaisa reached up to grab the phone which I held higher than her.

    "You did kissed me back...." Kaisa ignored Mivozene's smart comment.

    "Look all I want to know is what you are planning." I leaned against the wall.

     "What do you mean planning?" I sighed at her ignorance.  Here we go again

     "You know this morning I asked you and you decided to play koi with me.  Tell me the truth this time.  No one is around."  I pointed to the empty halls.

    "I have no idea what you are talking about!"  She exclaimed, I glared at her. 
     She is lying.  Mermaids always lie.  We are good at it, and I learned from the best: Mivozene.

     "Fine if you are going to be like that.... Hey Seri send the most recent photo to-"

      Rinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

    Awww they were saved by the bell.  Really a shame!  But they were in a position that made them look a little too close and touchy. 
     Now I do hope Melody and the others come soon.  I may be evil, but I have pure intentions.

    I heard familiar voices that I heard every day.

     "Jeez you are stupid!" That is the understatement of the country.

    "I know and you aren't the first person to tell me.  But I am still figuring it out." I heard Seivon exclaim,
      "I just don't know who it could be.  There no one else who looks remotely like her."

     "There is and you are being dumb." I heard a female voice say.

     "Wait you figured it out?" Seivon widened his eyes.

    "Uh yeah!  And you are going to have to figure it out yourself." She exclaimed, "She wanted you to after all."
      What is it that she figured it out?

"I hate it when you are right." Seivon sighed.

    "I'll give you a hint....." The voiced paused for a bit.  "Hey Mira!" 

     "Oh hi!" I turned around to waved.  Seivon was looking at Melody quizzically.

     "Where is Ashton and Malseania?" Seivon randomly spoke up.

      "Who knows.  I left class early, I had to change my clothes."  My clothes were in fact different from the ones I was wearing previously.

    "Oh rea-" Melody paused when she noticed my brother.  I wonder does she recognize him from before."You dirty little-" Seivon nudges Melody mouthing 'don't-start-a-fight'.

     "I would appreciate it if people would stop leaving their sentences on pause." Mivozene says as posh as ever.

    "Uh.. Kaisa?" Seivon looked at him.  "You know him?"  Why are they acting strange?

     "What is wrong?" I looked between from Seivon, Melody, and Mivozene.

       "It is nothing sweetheart." I seriously gagged at this nickname.

      "Yeah right!" I rolled my eyes.  "What did you do this time?"

     "You know him too?" Melody shuddered at that thought.  Jeez he must of done something really bad to make even Melody hate him.

      "Unfortunately I am stuck with stupid...wait idiot fits him more." Mivozene looked annoyed with me. 
       He is probably just annoyed I called him stupid when stupid fits Seivon way more.

     "He thinks people deserves to die!  He thinks all of those incidents with ships and other things in the pacific is funny!  That is sick and messed up!" Seivon yelled pointing his finger at him. 
     If only Seivon knew who he was and who I am.  I looked at him sadly.

     Melody's eyes widen at that out burst.  No one had expect that Seivon had that in him.  But now that I know he does that means this will not be the first time Mivozene gets it.
     Oh Seivon!  But I need to relax and stop freaking out with everything he does.  But I do not want anyone to get hurt.

     "Why are you still here?" I stated coldly, " When are you going to leave?"

    "If I leave than that would be count as skipping classes.  I do not want that on any record, my dear." Wait he was not kidding?

     "I thought you were joking about that!" I exclaimed.
    My brother is crazy.  He will not last a day.  He will hate everyone so much he will kill them all.

    "Oh, but why would I joke of something like that?  Does this face look like a face that would joke about that, my dear?" He kept asking in that annoying polite, but condescending tone of his.

      "That is the only face you have." I groaned. 

'Mermaids do not have emotions or feelings, Mina.'

       "And call me my regular name!  Not my dear, not dearest, not any weird nicknames.  My-RUH-sean!". I exclaimed pointing my finger at him.

"Who are you really?" Melody violently starred at him.

   "Since I already know your name I guess it is only fair to know mine....." He trailed off, "but who am I kidding we are not equal beings."

     "What are you royalty?  Stop acting like everyone should bow to you and do whatever you please!  You are not better than everyone!" Melody shouted at him, fuming red in the face.
    Oh Melody if only you knew.

     "You are right I am not better than everyone.  There is only few that are equal or better than I." Atlantic. Arctic. Indiana. Antarctic. Council of Elders. 
      Only those are equal or better than him.  He even considers me to be a little lower.  I think it because I am his sister or I began to like humans.

    "Well are you going to tell us?" Melody questioned with her eyebrow raised.

     "My-Voh-Zeeeeeen is my name." Mivozene said with our accent.

     "Strange and unique.  Never heard anyone with that name before." Melody remarked.

     "That is because no other share the same name as me.  The name who you were given to at birth means who you are.  My name means a beautiful success." He exclaims in delight.

      "So are we just going to forget what he said?  If you are then by means go ahead, but I am not." Seivon still glared and starred at him.

       "Oh no I couldn't possibly." Melody exclaimed quickly.  "I was just listening to see what he had to say."

     "He doesn't deserve to be listen to." Seivon states bitterly.

     "Jeez it must have affected you that much.  Though I feel like there is more that it affecting you. What is the reason?" She exclaimed looking over at her friend.

      "Who knows I just don't like him.  Maybe he has done more than that to me." I stared at Seivon.
    Is Seivon actually smart?  This is so strange.

    "Yo......" I really need to stop calling her Young Atlantic. I snapped my fingers pointing at Kaisa.  "Yo...Kaisa!  Can you help me to get him away?"

     "No." She simply answered. 

      "No?  Why?  He is being annoying!  I do not want him to follow me everywhere!" I complained with hints of my accent leaking out.

     "Maybe I would if you deleted your blackmail photo that is out of context." She crossed her hands smugly.

       "Blackmail?  Photo?  Where?" Melody jumps in all excited.

    "Oh just Kaisa kissing someone." I say innocently like it is your everyday normal thing.

     "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" Melody screamed like it was the best thing in the world.  I guess being around guys all her life made her scream when there is any romantic reaction.

     "Owww not my ears...." Seivon's aura faded when started complaining about Melody's screams.

    "Seriously?  Mira?  You know Melody is present and she going to scream our ears off!" So she aware of what she did? 

    "So you admit it!" I exclaim proudly.

   "What?  No!  It was out of content." Out of content?  Pufferfish!

    "Never be in denial.  It is just better if you do not.  People get through things better off if they are not in denial.  If I was in denial I do not know where I would be."
     I was secretly hoping Seivon would take this information and make good use of it.  I am positive Seivon is in denial.  And he will realize who I am.

    "Just delete the picture and everything will go back to normal." Normal? 
     I could not help it but burst out laughing.

     "Did you seriously say everything will go to normal if I delete the picture?  If everything goes back to normal if I just delete a picture than I would of deleted thousands of pictures over a year ago.  Of all people you should know this.  If I delete this picture will everything that is...." I thought of a way to say it so Melody would not question anything.
     "...happening be fixed?  Will it be as before with peace and harmony?  Will it be as if those never left us?  Will it be as if those would not care what we did every few seconds?" 

      Kaisa opened her mouth to say something, but then close it right away.  She was at a lost for words.
      "That is what I thought, so do not ever say something so foolish again to me." I whispered.
        She immediately nod her head so obedient.  Maybe this picture will help after all.

       "That goes for me to!  It is an order."  What is he doing?  He is crazy to say something like that.  Then again Melody thought he was acting like royalty, so he could use the acting what she said excuse. 
     Yeah we did that before with a very confused human.  Now that I think about it, Seivon does not even know about orders or anything like that.  He does not know about me being the princess.  I am kinda afraid if he finds out he will realize it is doomed to be together or not like me anymore.

      "You surely can not say that to me!" Kaisa exclaimed.  I mean technically speaking he can.

     "You know what would be easier for you Kaisa." My brother whispered, "Maybe I should tell your parents what happened."

    "Her parents?"  Melody raised her eyebrows.  "You know her parents?  She said they were out of the country traveling."
     Excuses, excuses, excuses!  

     "Oh well my brother knows them more than me.  He always gone over when he was younger."
     Hey Seivon this is just me giving you a big hint. 
     A big hint!  Think!  Please be smart for once.  Mivozene looked at me strangely and I had to force myself not to laugh.  I guess being spoken to as if you are an invisible wall hurts.

     "Yeah, I heard her brother is incredibly amazing.  He is the best of the best.  Always know the right things to say." I rolled my eyes at him.

    "Not really.  He is actually annoying.  He always bothered me." Kaisa says flatly causing Mivozene to grumble under his breath.  

    "There you are!" Ashton shouts with Malseania trailing along.  Ugh great now she is here.  "You don't just leave us with that boring man!"

    "Nothing interesting happened anyway." Kaisa shrugged.  To some that would be a complete lie.

     All of the sudden Malseania smiled or was she grinning, regardless I could not tell. "Look who showed up."  Was she referring to me?

   "Wait you know him too?  Why does everyone know that idiot?" Seivon glared at all of us. 
    I am going to calm him down later and I know just the thing.  Mermaid me.

    "Unfortunately.  I wish I do not.  But I sadly do." My eyes widen.  She is a liar and a copier.  Mivozene looks between me and Malseania smirking. 
      Does what she is doing humor him?  She does not know him.  She is just doing that because...because I know him.

   "Does nobody appreciate me?!" He steps back in shock.

     "Good you don't deserve being appreciated." I tell my brother.

      Just then Malseania got a water bottle out from her bag.  "Want some?" She smiled looking from me then Mivozene then to Melody.

    "No, I'd rather not die." I told her.  Who knew what she put in it?

      She started laughing.  "Jeez it is not poisonous.  I have no intentions of killing any of you."

    "I do not drink that type of water.  It has little salt in it."  Wow Mivozene, nice job being specific.

     "You know what I will take it.  I will show you it is safe.  Cowards...."
       Melody shook her head.  "Hit me up."  Malseania then threw it, but she did not threw it at Melody.  She threw it sideways landing near Mivozene, Kaisa, and I.

  And if all three of us leave it will be suspicious.

One minute.

      Just then our eyes went wide.  The water bottle was apparently wet getting us with splatters of water.  "What do you not get by us not wanting water?"  I turned my gaze to her.

     "Oops!  I must of had a very bad aim."  She said all playfully.  "Did I get some of your shirts wet?  I am sorry."

    "You did that on purpose!" My brother glared at the humanic.

Two minutes.

    "Hey how about I take both of your necklaces or any other jewelry, so they do not get wet?" She exclaimed sweetly, "I mean you both seem to care for jewelry."  Say what?  

    "Like I ever do that.  You must be crazy to think I would ever do that." Mivozene looked at her as if she was crazy.

Three minutes.

    "While you fight I actually want to be dry.  I am going to change my clothes again for the third time today." Jeez so tiring.

      "And I will help you because everyone loves listening to me!" Kaisa popped in.  Of course she found an excuse to come with me.

     Mivozene took his glowing blue necklace and threw it to me.  He smiled actually smiled for once."You going somewhere, keep this dry." I nodded running out to the hallway with Kaisa tagging along.
    I heard the protests of Malseania, Melody, and Seivon.  I wonder what they thought of all of this.

Four minutes.

     As soon as we were away from them, I went outside and jumped into the sea.  It was better than finding the bathroom and at this rate I was going to turn into a fish any second.  I was right.  As soon as I jumped in touching the water I was back to my regular form.  My better and more beautiful form.

     "They will obviously come looking for us, so I am going to dry off and go somewhere else.  That way if anyone has any ideas about you being a mermaid it will be washed away.  Also let me have Pacific's necklace.  I am going to say to them if anyone asks that I wanted to give it to Little Pacific."
     I stared at her shaking my head.  What does she not understand about me trying to get Seivon to recognize who I am really?

     "What no!  I want him to find out.  Your efforts are not going to change anything.  He is already stupid." I exclaimed, yelling at Kaisa.

     "I am talking about the others.  Melody is smarter than him and will be able to figure it out.  We need to put a division making her think it is not you.  Melody saw you awhile back with him and now believes mermaids also exist." She tells me in frantic, "This is why you never should of saved him in the first place.  More and more people are going to find out."

       I blinked, Mel knows?

        "Melody figuring it out does not have to do with Seivon!  Sure they are friends, but he is not going to tell anyone.  He told me.  Melody must have figure it out by herself and then told Seivon about it." I nodded, yeah.
         "I mean Melody is the type to figure things out and research them.  I know if Melody figures out I am the one who saved Seivon.  If she knows that.....Then she could help guide Seivon to who I really am!" I exclaim.  This is perfect.

     "No!  We are not doing that.  We are separating.  Just give me your brother's necklace so I can do a diversion already!" Kaisa yelled back, "And if you really want to see them than I can come back and show them to you."

     "You treating me like a circus animal." I crossed my arms and frowned.  "I am a mermaid!  A mermaid being!  And the only one I wish to see is Seivon.  Ughh!" I threw the necklace at her. 
    "Just take it already.  Get use to seeing it, you two are made for each other." Kaisa ignored my comment by going inside leaving me in this dull, hot summer day.

     "Oh and Little Pacific, we are nothing alike.....So stop comparing us together." If that is what helps you sleep in the night, Young Atlantic then be my guest and believe that thought.

     I stayed still in the sea of the Pacific.  Wishful thoughts came to me and I wondered how long will I have to stay here.  Were they to get me or was I suppose to go back on my own?  You know what I am not going back.  Especially with Mivozene there.  He is crazy to say some of those things to them. 
     What if they connect the dots about him and think mermaids are bad now?  But they are not.  We just have different murals than humans.  Thought I would not mind if they connected the dots with Mivozene being my brother and then Seivon finds out who I am.

      "I wonder what is taking them so long.  I am going this way to find them and you can search the woman's room."

"Uh no!" The voice exclaimed, "I know what you are trying to do and if you go than we all go there to look for them too." I suddenly heard voices.

    Quick I have to hide.  I sunk down lower into the water with only my nose and up above the water.  I hid against the wall that came up above the water. 
     The opposite side of the wall that was not in water had plants and leaves around it.  It would be hard for anyone to tell I am here.  In the wall was a tiny hole so I could peek my now multicolored eyes through.

  I heard a loud sigh, "Jeez I am just going to find Kaisa already.  I do not care about any of you.  I just need the necklace." That was my brother's voice.

    "That is why you should of given it to me." Malseania's sickening sweet voice spoke up.

    "Never in a hundred years would I ever!  I do not trust your kind." Malseania is a humanic and he is using her. 
     I would feel bad but I do not.  Unless he is the one telling her to get with Seivon.

    "Urghk!  Fine I am going to go to class....early." Malseania left.  Good now I can say hello to Mivozene.
     I would use that one spell where I could talk as long there is water for my voice to reach.

     Slowly I put my hand on the crack and allowed the water to pass through.  Through the dripping dewy grass and moist sky along with the seawater, they expanded together.  I caused it to leak up around Mivozene in a way he would not notice.
     Then his eyes widen as he just realized what is going on.  It could be a sea spirit that is doing that, or a mermaid.  Anything from the sea.  I leaned into the water and spoke:

    "Hey....Mivo...zeeeene.  I ThOUght you HAteD humans...I mean humanics, yet here you arE prowling AROunD with THeM.  What a JokE." I told him with my sea accent.

     "Quiet!  Not now Mina!" My brother shouted out loud trying to get rid of my message from the water.

    "Who are you talking to?" Melody suddenly looked at him weirdly.

    "What?  No one." He said when Melody showed up.
     What a liar, but I can not be talking.

    "Lying again brother?  Tsk tsk!  What did I tell you about lying?" 
      Seivon stared wide eyed at Mivozene when he finally recognized my voice.  How is it he recognize my voice now, but not when I am a human?

    "Oh shut up Mina, you are making me look crazy!" He shouted louder.

     I laughed dryly. "Why should you care after all you are only around humanics.  And you always hated them."

    "Mina...." He trailed off looking up.  I was not dead, why was he looking up?  

    "Mivo..." I mimicked him.

     "What are you doing and where are you?  I thought you were in class." I scoffed at his words. Yeah right.

     "Class is in ten minutes and it is boring.  They talk of nonsense that is useless.  How do humanics do that?  But dumb rules and blending in.  Besides I finished education years ago." I shrugged as I explained to my brother.

     "Actually you have to since I gave you the-" I interrupted him before he could say anything about the crown.

   "Yeah yeah I know!" I sighed, "But besides that, everything is done.  I know all about the Atlantic, Arctic, Southern, Indianan, and of course the Pacific."

      "You know how I hate it when people interrupt me and never finish their sentences..." Mivozene trails off.

    "Want to know where I am?" I suddenly ask

"You are changing the subject." My brother states.

    "And that is an opinionated statement." I grin back.

   "Fine," He sighs, giving in, "Where are you?"

    "Right....here.  Mivozene I am right in front of one's very own eyes." Mivozene looked around hasty to try to find me.  Jeez he is kinda dumb.  Where would mermaids be? 
     Hmmm I do not know it is not like they would go in the water.  Mivozene is giving Seivon a run for his stupidity.  Just kidding, Seivon will always be the most stupid.

    "Who are you talking to?" Melody questioned again.

    "Just my sister.  Now leave." He states immediately but quickly. "I have to do important things, and why am I explaining to the likes of you?"

    Seivon slightly frowned.  I wonder if Mivozene realizes Seivon is him.  Either way they all hate each other.  Well Melody tolerates him better, but still.

    "See me now?" I lifted my arms up so my arms and head was in their view.

   "Jeez do not act dumb trying to get water on me." My brother began crossing his arms.

     "Dumb?" I exclaimed, pretending to be offended, "It was not going to do anything to you.  I just wanted to talk."

    "What are you doing here anyways?" He stated again.

"I already told you." I shook my head, "If you forgot that quickly you must have a hard time remembering things."

   "Mira?" Melody looked at me with her eyes wide. 
   Wow she did know?  And faster than Seivon too.  Seivon was too bothered glaring and Mivozene.

    "Medina, maybe you should be worried about be late to class.  Our teacher always strict about..." I winked at her.

   "What class do you have next Melody?" Seivon suddenly asked her.  I know what Seivon is doing. 
    He is trying to figure out who I am, but not act to close to me because my brother is here and could kill him.  I mean literally.

"Pacific..." I looked at my brother. "Atlantic is looking for you.  She has your necklace."  Now if he leaves then I can spend time with Seivon...
    Oh wait I will have to get Melody to leave too.

    "What?" I exclaimed, "I gave it to-"

    "And the person you gave it to must of given it to Kaisa."  He grumbles under his breath. 
    "Oi!  Mivozene!  WHeN aRE yOu gOiIng to DEsiRE?" He rolled his eyes and left.

     "Person huh?" Melody grinned at me.

     "Shut up!  Just cause you know who I am does not mean you can still hurt me." I crossed my arms exclaiming and turned my head "If you tell you will actually hurt me."

   "So I am right?!  Omigawsh this is amazing!" Melody's eyes gleamed, "You like have scales and fins and you look like a fish?" Seivon looks at us in awe.

      "Fish?!  Do I look like a fish?  But yeah, much better than being a human." She sighed, "Being a human is annoying and most humans are annoying." Her face dropped at that.

     "How is it that you two such good friends after two seconds of knowing each other?" He starred at us in wonder.

      "I knew her before this." Melody whispered to Seivon, "I talked to her this morning by the magnolia trees."

     "What?  When?  How did I not notice?" Melody started laughing at Seivon's words.

    "I ask that everyday to myself when I talk to you when I look like a humanic." I grin at Seivon shyly.

   "Wait...You talked to me?" Seivon raised his eyebrows and I nodded.

     "Yeah," I sighed, "When you first saw me I thought you figured it out but no you are just stupid." Seivon sucks in a breath.

      "Do you have some popcorn?" Melody randomly spoke up.  Seivon shot her a glare.  "What this is entertaining!"

    "So can you like breathe underwater and swim super fast?  Can you control water or get super good a swimming?  Can you go anywhere with water?" Melody starts asking crazy questions at once. 
    "Can you make water float around?  Is having one tail easier than having legs?  Why do you like it better?" I stared at her.  She is crazy.

      "Nevermind, can you forget that you saw me and leave?" I do not want to answer riddiculous questions.  But this time it was Seivon who was laughing.

    "Yeah, leave Mel." He grinned smugly, "You heard her."

    "What?...." She realized she was not wanted and we had to talk. "Oh, I'll go." She went inside.

    "Now that no one is here I am going to tell you the truth."

     "And that is?" I asked hesitating what was to come.  What did he have to say to me?  I feel worried.  I do not know why.  I had this strange feeling ever sense this morning. 
     And I am worried one little thing will make that feeling becomes so great that I will not be able to bare anything else.  I will either feel pain or great joy.

     "I realized that I don't just like you." He whispered and I felt frightened at once.
