It was mid December. The week has ended. I mean I thought it was going to end badly, but something happened at the end of yesterday that made it delightful.

He. Saw. Me.

It was like a paradise. He seemed happier that I was there. I told him what happened, though. He didn't hate me or wished to never see me again. I couldn't believe it. It was nice and comforting. Until...that person showed up.
I heard someone, so I left. I didn't want him to be worried so I played the safe side. I lead him away. I lead him to the side. So that I could disappear and he would be watching my trail from afar.

And now I'm rolling in my bed daydreaming about events that are yet to come.

Currently I am desired to him and we have live in a tropical paradise island by the seaside. It is a little island with palm trees and coconuts hanging so delicately. Beaches surround this very island with abundant of seashells covering the sand. We all live happily.
Oh and in that dream Malseania was executed for taking what wasn't hers, but it is for the better. She is happier too. Also Mivozene has calmed down with the help of Adhira Ishita. The Mulikawa princess who rules the Indiana seas.
And living next door was Kaisa and Ashton living a happy life not complaining about mermaids and humans being together. Then near so far is Melody with Seivon's long, long lost cousin.
I'm kidding like she'd do that. I mean long lost cousin? How more cliche can I get?

What else is happening in this dream?

Before I could think about it the device known as a phone to humans tells me I have a call from no other that Melody Medina. I groaned answering the device.

"What do you want?"

I was not in the mood to talk. She just interrupted my paradise. How dare she.

"Well good to hear from you too, Mira."

"I would say it is good to hear from you as well, but that would be a lie. You interrupted me doing something very important."

It was very important. Who does she think she is to just interrupt my thoughts like that. It was going to be a happy place for her and the rest of us.

"Important? What were you doing that is so-called important? I thought I recalled you telling me schoolwork isn't important."

She is right about that. Those school places aren't important to me. I'm a mermaid and mermaids' don't need to go to humanic school. It is a waste of energy to try to do well.
I mean the only reason I am there is to blend in and get to know Seivon. Well I guess getting to know his friends isn't bad.

"I wasn't doing that. I was doing something that is.."

How do I even explain what I was doing to her? It's like if only she could know my exact thoughts, then it would be easier. It is way easier to think and imagine it than to tell someone out loud or to write it to them.

"A secret to everyone? You don't have to say anything, just get over here. We are waiting for you."

"What? Why?"

Did we plan this? I surely don't remember it. I guess I'll have to...

"It is a festival. For the summer, you know."

"Festival?"

My mermaid brain acting up again. I don't remember what that is. I wish there was a thing on that device called A Mermaid's Guide To Humanic Words.

"You know a celebration. Did you seriously not have these in wherever you were before? This one is different. A festival celebrating starting the new season of Summer."
I heard her laugh, "Oh I just love December with it's warm summer heat and going to the beach every day and building sandmen and-"
Did I mention these islands always had blazing heat around December? Around September until December is the spring season. And starting December all away until March is summer.

March until June is fall. And June until September is winter. We live in the Southern Hemisphere. Well I always had with living in the Pacific Seas all my life. I did visit other mermaid kingdoms, but still I'm used to this weather. Others....not so much.

"I get it... Wait who is going to be there?"

Yep, just now I thought of that. I hope Seivon will be there, but if Malseania is there I'm going to crackle inside. I will go, but I just need to be prepared.

"I think you mean who's here. Right now, Kaisa, Ashton, Seivon, two of my siblings, and Malseania. But you can also come."

"I am coming!"

Her two siblings. The twins. And one of her twins might be suspicious of me.

I hanged up on her. Don't worry I'll be there before they can say mermaid because nobody will be saying anything about a mermaid. Not out loud anyway. As I head to the place the festival is being celebrated at I thought of that dream again and I realized another dream I wouldn't mind.
Melody living a life with my brother Mivozene. I mean Mivo doesn't even know Indiana. Plus I did see Mel gawking and him when she saw him last. And then he had crazy hair dye in his hair because he didn't know what looked natural.
Plus I wouldn't mind and then he won't be as crazy on me for being with Seivon. And Malseania she can get kidnapped by the mermaid council...No she can drown in a sea of ashes.

Good for her!

"MIRA! MIRACINE! MIRA! OVAH HERE!" A yelling Melody waved her arms like a mad woman. But seriously she was a jumping baboon and hollering the daylights outta everybody.

"Jeez you are going to kill somebody's ear by screaming like that." I winced covering my ears. My poor ears. Well it was nice knowing you.
It took all the willpower to make sure they stayed upright and not flop over, since humans can't make their ears flop over.

"You haven't hear a woman scream until see them at night..." Ashton grins looking at me.
He did not have to say that did he? I would rather go through life without knowing that.

"Ashton stop lying, we all know you hook up with one girl every seven months. The rest you flirt with and I thought I remember you telling me how you hated when they didn't leave you alone." Seivon puts his arm around Ashton's shoulder and grinned.

"Mira!" Kaisa exclaimed. She and Malseania suddenly appeared behind Ashton.

"Miracine...it is nice for you to join us...." Malseania said as sweetly as ever. I doubt she meant any of it.

"Feeling is mutual." I told her. She was about to say something else with the twins appeared. I have no idea why they came. Just because they are siblings doesn't mean they get a free go wherever we go to a place too.

"Mira... It is nice of you to show up." The male twin spoke. I forgot his name already. The only people I remember are Seivon, Melody and Ashton.
The rest of humanics just fade away into an unknown abyss. Oh I remember Malseania too, but it is not for a good reason.

"So why did you ask me to come... I was actually busy." Dreaming. or some call it meditating.

"We wanted you to come to this festival to celebrate the beginning of summer and the end of spring." Melody exclaimed with a smile. Oh.

Everyone then started exclaiming what they wanted to do.

"Come on let's go to the surfin' contest!"

"The water skiing sounds fun!"

"How about the roller coaster?"

"I want to see the music show!"

"Let's go to the tropical drink stands!"

Wow a lot of choices.

"Why don't we split up?" I suggested and I don't want to be around Malseania, but she is going to hang out with Seivon.
How cruel! You know what would be even better? If Malseania and Seivon split up it would save so many people's lives!

"I know me, Melody, and Ashton will go together and the rest of you go together!" I smiled in a way Seivon did when he was with me one day.

"Wait-what?! Uh no!" Seivon shook his head, " I am not going to be stuck with Melody's siblings! At least let Melody come with me." Funny he said Melody instead of Ashton.

"What? I can't hear you...SO LOUD!" I yell obnoxiously. "Do you hear anything Mel?" She shook her head and I grinned, "Come on let's go!" I drag them along with me.
I would want Kaisa to either be with me or Seivon that way they won't try anything with water.

I dragged them along loosing the others. Ashton was like a sheep being guided by a shepard. A deer caught in headlights. Melody followed along willingly.
I mean we both wanted to leave him alone. Aww poor Seivon... He's so cute.

"So we are just going to forget him?" Ashton asked happily.

"Yep!" I jumped up and down nodding my head.

"Let's get food! I heard the food is incredible. It is suppose to be foreign." Melody sighs imaging the food.

"What do you guys want? I will go and get whatever you guys want."

"What about money?"

"I will cover it!" I raised my hand and walked forward heading to the cashier.
By covering it, I actually meant I will make them want to give it to me. I am bored and I might as well have some fun.

"Hey, what can I get you?" The server was male and seem to be under twenty-five. He had a black waiter uniform and he served tropical drinks.

"You know...You can get me three of those....Nice" I stared into his soul. "....Cool" I placed my hands on top of the counter, gazing elegantly across. "...Tropical Drinks." My left eye turned magenta as I curled my finger to him and smiled.
He was taken away from reality at once. It was like he was in a trance. But hey, I'm getting free stuff.

"Oh...... yeaaa..... sure... have... three.... tropical.... drinks...." I took them right away and skipped off before the other guy that worked there could argue.
I hope the other guy won't say anything. He looked like he saw a ghost.

"Here you go!" I smiled innocently handing them to Ashton and Melody. I had my left eye covered with my hair and I did not want anyone to say anything.

"What. Did. You. Do." Kaisa appeared out of nowhere. She looked at me and shook her head.
Kaisa knew I did something and me hiding my left eye did not help my case. I really hope it goes back to marine soon.

"Kaisa what are you doing here and...." Seivon. He was also there.

"Why are you guys here?" Melody also asked the same question as I crossed my arms at Atlantic.

"They are in the restroom and the girls' line always takes forever." Seivon muttered. He got that one right.

"How much was it?" Kaisa glanced at me again. Does she have to? I wanted to have some fun, and you had to ruin it.

"Uhhhh..." Then I recalled an item people use to pay without cash. "Credit Card."

"You have a credit card?" Melody is now suddenly interested.

"It is my brother's." Kaisa wasn't phased by my response. I was about to offer Seivon and Kaisa some when I heard a voice that caused chills to crawl down my spine.

"T-t-that demon!" The guy pointed to us with is finger. Uh oh...It is the other worker that saw me turning the guy into a trance.

"Huh?" Melody turned to Ashton and Seivon.

"YOU!!!" The guy pointed at our group. Oh well I guess he will be thought to be insane.

"Me?!" Ashton shouted excitedly. "You want to pick me?!"

"No you idiot, don't you see who you are with?! A demon! That cursed soul!" The man shutters while glaring at me.

"Melody, I think he just called us demons." Kaisa decided to help me. All she needs to do is make him seem crazy and it will work.

"Demons?" Seivon eyes went wide as if he realized something. "Kaisa...You didn't bother anyone did you?" Seivon thinks it is about Kaisa...Why?
Oh yeah I accidentally told him Kaisa was a mermaid.
Wait what if Kaisa accidentally calls my name Pacific when I am in human form! Then he will know and I will...

"Bother anyone?" She sneaked a glance to glare at me. "Now why in the world would I bother anyone, unless it is you guys, of course?" This is working out better than I thought.
She get the blame and it will make more sense because he knows she is a mermaid...
...But wait if I get the blame maybe Seivon will actually realize I'm the mermaid. But Ashton and Melody might think odd of me. Huh? Why do I care about that? The only person I care about is Seivon!

"One of us did something obscure to make that man over there think one of us is a demon. Kaisa if it not you then who was it?" Seivon smirked at her.
He knows what he is doing. He is trying to figure out who I am. I'm so proud of him.

"Who knows... Why don't you ask the man unless he is just insane. I don't get why it matters to you that much." She yawns boredly.
"What is the reason? Huh?"

"I think just between the two of us, we both know what I'm talking about. I mean why else would you not answer me unless it involves her."

"Oh you know...." Kaisa began arguing with Seivon and I tuned her out when I heard Ashton.

"What?" Ashton couldn't understand puzzles and the guessing game of words and hidden meanings that everyone was speaking.

"Oh just ignore them. Kaisa just likes arguing about meaningless things that have to do with m......." I realized what I was saying and where I was.

Melody raised her eyebrow. "Wait please enlighten me because you somehow know that Kaisa likes arguing about meaningless things that have to do with what exactly? You were going to say something that started with a 'm'." Great. She saw my error and is questioning me.

"Well...uh..." This was the first time I couldn't think of anything to say. "I...know because Kaisa often complains to me about...many things and... and uh miracles."
This lie caused the conversion or more like argument Kaisa and Seivon was having to end turning their attention to us.

"What did you say?"

Melody turned to Seivon with a knowingly look, "Oh Kaisa apparently Mear-uh over here knows all too well that you like arguing about so called meaningless things that had to do with something that started with a M I think. I'm not sure. That is when she stopped. But Kaisa I thought you always say nobody but you know your business."

By the end of today I'm going to be a seaslug, right?

Crabs.

Tuna.

Dace.

Whales.

Dolphins.

Crawfish.

Striped-turkeyfish.

And do these humans ever pronounce my name correctly? It is My-ruh not Mear-uh not My-ruh sean. Just My-ruh-sign.

"Really? You must of got used to arguing with me huh, Mira?" Kaisa breaks down laughing. It was fake.
She mimics humanics' laughter all the time so when she actually does it in public, she aims perfection.

"You can tell me. It's hard to lie to people that mean a lot to you, right?" She is right about that. You cannot hide the truth from one you deeply care for

"As true as that statement is, the one I shall never lie to is another. They are not you."

"Oh..." She trailed off looking awkward. It wasn't her fault.
In a different world and different circumstances I would have told them all. "I thought we told each other everything about ourselves..."

"I'm sorry." I spoke louder. "I do not tell people about myself. About who I am, about what happened, and how it is my fault. Really, I do not like to. When they search they find secrets I wish to remain unknown and soon they start selling that secret off and researchers come and try to....hurt me."
They all looked at me in such a curious manner. As if they were wondering who am I.

"Y-y-you heathen! The purple haired devil..." My hair is violet. V. I. O. L. E. T. Not purple. My eyes are the royal sea blue. Nothing else.

Just then Malseania and Melody's siblings came out of the bathroom.

"IT'S THE PURPLE HAIRED ONE!" The man yells. Now we can officially claim he is insane.

Malseania turned to the man, "Huh? No I.. What are you babbling about? Stop speaking nonsense. He must be you insane!" I just turned to Kaisa and for the first time ever I couldn't help but laugh.

The rest of them stared at us. We laughed harder. Malseania was getting irritated with the man and finally got him to leave her alone.

"What? She thought I was you, Malseania? That's ridiculous. Our lives have nothing to do with each other." I emphasized the word nothing and saw her glare at me. She knows what I am doing.
She been getting in my way and I'm trying to show them how she does things just because I did it. Always following me.

"Yeah...very funny." It almost sounded sarcastic, but I was not sure.

"Well Malseania does look like Miracine. Yeah and she kinda looks as if she is copying something of hers." Melody added. That was a little too odd.

"Well they are related. What do you expect?" One of the others pipes in.
Wait Malseania is related to me? Since when? If she is I think I am going to have nightmares.

"What? What are you talking about?" She looks at them with confusion.

"We are not related." Realization hits Seivon eyes. Jeez Seivon is so stupid.

Seivon raised his eyebrows, "You're not?" We shook our heads.
"All this time I thought you were and d-"

"It just means one thing." I interrupted Seivon. "You, Seivon." I pointed at his chest. Maybe I was getting a little closer to his personal space than I should in this humanic form, but I did not care.
"Are. Really. Stupid." I stressed the way I said certain words like someone else he knows. Oh wait it is not someone else because we are the same person and he is too foolish to realize that.
But if he does realize that then maybe I could be fulfilled. Maybe everything would fall into place like it should and nothing and no one will interrupt us. It will just be me and him. Together, forever.

He looked at me with question. Like he wanted to ask me something. He tilted his head as if doing that would change the view of what is going on. He stared at me. No he gazed beyond me. Beyond past me like I wasn't there. Like I was something else.
I thought maybe this is it and he came to realization. I stepped back a bit waiting for him to say something. But before he could someone interrupted.

"Seivon! Are you okay?" Melody made a sound and Seivon blinked like she brought him back to reality. It is a shame Melody. If you know how his mind works and being extremely stupid as he is than you would know not to do that.
He could've figure it out, but being brought out of that process could make him shake that thought off. He needed a little more time. Just a little more. He could of realized who I was.

"Ye....yeah... I'm sorry I just thought of something that happened long ago. Just a memory." I smiled at that thought. I caused him to think of me. Well when I am a mermaid.
Maybe he could put two and two together and think I am the same person. We act similar in a certain way if he knows what I mean. But he probably won't because he is too foolish.

Kaisa looked at me and shook her head. Melody was far concerned with Seivon. They are really close friends. They act more siblingly than anything. Ashton was with Seivon. And Malseania was glaring at me.
Stupid girl. What did I do? Oh no I shouldn't of called her stupid. That is reserved for Seivon only. Seiiivoooon. Malseania is a.....hippo.

Melody's siblings left when we were all arguing about stuff. I am thankful for that.

"Come on..." Kaisa gestured to everyone. "I am sure Seivon is fine. Besides...." Kaisa paused for a minute.
Wait was Kaisa trying to make Seivon and everyone else forget what happened to him? Was she trying to make him not recognize who I am?
"Seivon, you shouldn't dwell on the past. Move forward, that is where the future lies. Stopping to think of the past will cause you to be left behind in the future. Think about it memories are called memories for a reason." Kaisa continued to say,
"You will always remember it, but it happened in the past where they stay. They won't come to the future or the present. Let the past stay in the past. The order of everything will surely be corrupted if you bring it to the future. So let's go."

"Yeah, I agree with Kaisa. We should go already. Standing here dwelling on nothing is killing my feet. All Miracine did was insult you and you get knocked into a flashback?" Malseania frowned as she put her icky hand on Seivon's shoulder.

"Fine. We can go.... Sure...I'm fine... Whatever you guys want to do I'm up for it." Seivon muttered, but he did not seem fine.
He actually seemed like whatever could happen and he would not care.

"If you say so, let's go to the music. It sounds amazing..." Melody expresses with awe.

"Yeah, come on..." I muttered looking down.
When will he realize it?
