Bonus Chapter/Scene #3... In which Melody first meets Seivon introduced by Ashton and her thoughts on the event.

"Ashton where are you taking me?  You know my parents are going to get mad at us if we wonder too far."

"Ssh just wait.  I want to introduce you to someone."

"Oh the girl you have a crush on you told me about?" Seivon puts his arms behind his head, grinning slyly.

"No!  I said nothing like that and you know it."

"Yeah...yeah and I just like messing with you." Seivon laughed.  "So where is it?"

"You impatient quiet and.....Hi Mel!" He waved at a honey haired girl whose emerald eyes radiant brightly as the sun.

"Ash-Ash!" I looked at him giddily.  He the only one that paid attention to me.  But with him was someone else.  "Whose this?" I tilted my head.

"This is a good friend of mine.  Seivon Rivers."

"Is she five?" He looked at me stupidly.  I was not five!  I was seven only one age younger than Ashton.

Ashton started laughing.  The traitor.  I was going to tell the teacher on him.  That Sigh-vee-ON.  He goes to my school right?  I think he does.  And I am going to tell him he calling me ages!  We get in trouble for calling people names, so the same should apply. 

"You bully.  I am seven which is only one age younger than Ashton." Ashton laughed harder.  "Ash stop laughing, you traitor!  I am gonna tell your mom!"

"Who is she again?  And when did she get to talk to us like that?" I saw the boy turn to Ashton.  Where they friends?

"That's just Mel."  Just....Mel?

"Okay...Mel?"

"It's Melody.  You not my friend and you haven't earned the right of it." I said proudly putting my hands on my hips.  Ashton said maybe if I was nicer, people would like me. 

But let's face it, I don't care this is who I am.  You say something stupid I'll give you sass.  Lots and lots of sass.  people say I am my mother's daughter for a reason.

"Oh...Ouch....  So why am I here again besides meeting her?"

"Say your last name and tell them to stop...." Ashton turn to Mel, "What was it again?"

"Let me go to this place without anyone noticing." Ahh it wasn't illegal.  But there this thing and I don't want anyone to notice... Per say.

"Stop using my parents against me... I don't get what they did that is considered to make them known."

"Their work?"

"Ey....Should've known.  And you Melody, can you sing?"

"Not to save my life..." Singing, what does that have to do with a thing? "Why?"

"Your na...." Oh of course.  "That's a shame."

"Well anyway I need your help to get in the teacher's lodge at my school.  I failed a test.  My mom must not know."

"Oh is that right?  And I thought you were smart."

"I am!  I am the top of my class, but I failed and now this other person will be the top." I must remain the best.

"Wait....You said your name was Melody." Uhuh?

"Y-yeah?  What does that have to do with anything?"

"Is your last name Medina?"

"Yeah?....Why?"

"You are in our class, and in fact I am number two.  Top two in the class, in fact."  Wait what?  This moron is in my class?  And smart?  How could he?  

I closed my eyes and sighed, I guess I will have to live with him being top for now.

Little did I know we would soon be the bestest of friends...
